It was then that he took pause. He narrowed both eyes at her, poised to snap angrily in order to get his point across. “Stop. You can’t look at me like that when we’re arguing, it’s not fair.” 

His body would remain so close, pressing tighter up against her rear once more when he nuzzled her shoulder. “Nah, besides I figured my lady could take it.” He mused, shifting slightly to get much more comfortable while teasing her from behind. 

“Shit, Lia —- don’t start.” Gar deflected, producing a slight huff. He would keep both eyes upon her own, his head soon beginning to shake with annoyance. It wasn’t fair for her to put him on the spot like this, but when cleared his throat he would speak again. “I’ll always love you...” 

the male felt groggy, wrapped tight beneath a medium sized blanket when the brunette approached the couch. he would open both of his eyes when she spoke, peering up at her curiously. he didn’t say anything yet, but he would sniff and scoot back a little bit while opening the blanket, an arm raised momentarily to invite her to lay with him so he could wrap her up in his warmth. “c’mere, baby.” 

His immediate response was a brash scoff but when his eyes narrowed, he would lift his collar slightly to sniff curiously. “Fuck off. That’s not even me, dude.”

he would await her patiently, shifting slightly to lean back against the counter with crossed arms. when she approached him, he couldn’t help but grin and pull her into his own arms, wrapping them with ease around her waist to savor her kiss. “mm,” the beast hummed, much more attentive to the scent of his wife than the dishes in the sink. “i was getting to it.”

   “um—-” he pulled his hands away from the gadgetry, immediately regretful of opening the small cartridge to examine what created her webbing. he shook his sticky hand on the opposite side of her, careful to keep her from seeing his mistake. the substance wouldn’t fall free of his palm, and when he shamelessly tried to wipe the sticky substance off on the corner of her desk. “hm?” he would respond, eyes widening gradually when he looked toward her once more, not because he hadn’t been paying attention, but because his hand was stuck. “that’d be cool...”

he knew she was resting before he stepped inside. the beast heaved a soft sigh, taking care to leave the lights off in the hall when he followed the sound of her steady heartbeat. although the empath upon the couch held his attention, he would gaze at the bright screen first to examine her choice of entertainment. when he approached, he was careful enough not to disturb her peace, but he would lift her up into his arms so he could carry her off to bed. “yeah, i’m good.” he responds, his grip on her tightening while he walked. “were you worried?”

He bared his teeth, shamelessly caught up in the moment until she reacted with a snort. His grip upon her wrists wouldn’t slacken, but he did smirk helplessly. He pushed up against her in response to her squirming frame, his hold upon her tightening to secure her further. “It’s not like you’re putting up a good fight.”
