I thought Id try my hand at some furry art. Im neutral positive about furry stuff in general, but I`ve never been too practiced at drawing animals, so there we are.
This was originally supposed to be a fox guy but I didn`t use any references so he just turned out just kinda general canid.
But overall what do you think of the general style? How is it for my first try?

Alright I just can’t look at this anymore. It’s not where I wanted it to be but I don’t think my skill level is quite there yet still.
It’s better than the original piece that it is a re-draw of (seen under the cut), so that’ll have to be good enough.

So I've been thinking
Several years ago I had done a "Free commissions + tips" thing where you were not required to pay anything, tipping was nice but not pushed or at all necessary, and I would draw simple commissions. The catch being that I would chose the style it was drawn in (though it wouldn't be my no effort scribbles. They were ones with actual effort put in) and I had the option to say no if I thought it was too time consuming or complicated.
Whatever you paid (if anything) would be upon receipt of the art and it would be for however much you could or wanted to pay. And if that was nothing, that's fine!
I actually made some money doing that and it was the only time I'd ever been successful with commissions. I am seriously considering opening that up again. Not only was it great for interacting with people but it really allowed me to stretch my drawing muscles and got me out of an art slump before. What do you guys think? Would you be interested in that kind of thing? If so I can try to make up a little brochure or whatever you call it for it. =w=
