his quick response earns him an incredulous look from the male and female sitting before him, both quirking their brows. he reciprocates the looks easily, adding a grin that tugs higher at one corner; a half smile, half smirk per se. he laughs because he’s obviously not taking this seriously but, when does he ever?

"arrested for arson. so why’d you do it, kid?" 

does he really need to explain himself? why he decides to scatter gasoline all over the house, lights up a match and tosses it to start the fire. or why instead of leaving, he idles throughout the entire process, watching the building be engulfed by flames. nah. 

his dark hues drift down as he tugs lightly on the metal that encloses around his wrists, it’s cold and he suddenly misses the warmth the fire once brought him. he starts impatiently tapping his digits against the metal surface of the desk before shifting his gaze back to the two, his grin never faltering even for a second.

"the site looked abandoned. no one, especially myself had set foot in the place for probably three years. and oh wow, would you look at that? no casualties whatsoever." he states with ease and shrugs nonchalantly. the door was unlocked and the place seemed to be abandoned quick, a few things still remain there—things he didn’t need to remember. the entire place altogether, actually. "besides, there’s no contract stating i can’t do that. my parents owned the land and house. plus, i lived there, so.”

"heard you were arrested before…how come?"

taehyung leans forward, resting his forearms against the railing just outside of the coffee lab. he hovers his palm over the flame from his lighter as rolls his shoulders before craning his head to stare at his co-worker.

"i was thirteen and bored so i burned a house down. mind you, it was abandoned—at least i didn’t blow it up, right?"

    — hello cuties! i know it’s almost the end up 2014 & 2015 is coming right up, so i decided to make a little new years post for you guys. i’m very thankful for each & one of you here on dash. i hope you guys have a wonderful and safe new years with your loved ones. it’s a new year and this means it’s time to start all over again. forget what you did in the past. it’s time to live past those mistakes and bad memories. let’s make the new years o u r s. have a promising and fulfilling new years everyone! remember to always think positive and stay healthy! ♡
