Pencil showing signs of already not liking Book that much only supports that theory. It would mean whenever Freesmart abandons Book in IDFB it won’t come out of no where. Plus Book is an alternative, someone Pencil is much less likely to be heavily attached to. In addition I really like the contrast it creates with Ice cube, Ruby, and even Match all supporting Book instead of Needle like Pencil wanted to.

I do acknowledge that may enjoyment of the scene comes from my own predictions on what will happen but I happen to really like those predictions so when something supports them I enjoy it.

Now on the stuff on everyone wanting to kill Leafy. For most of the season 1 cast I actually find it incredibly accurate as in BFDIA 1 basically the entire cast wanted to execute for her crimes. Sure they started to cool off from that extreme opinion but they also just learned Leafy can spawn an evil version of herself that has been constantly tormenting them them the entire competition. With het then randomly appearing at the CaS place with her history of island stealing atleast to me is enough for me to be convinced most of them would be down to perma kill her. Even some of the BFDIA newbies I can definitely see falling to mob mentality. Like I can see Ruby wanting to kill Leafy if Pencil said so. Now what I just said doesn’t apply to everyone but specifically Pin, and TB and it’s much harder to justify them also doing it. Now mob mentality is very real but even I don’t think it can fully cover everything. Despite some logical issues though I think I prefer the way canon has bascilaly everyone want to kill Leafy mostly because of the cliff/crane scene. Having additional people, especially someone like Pin, be opposed to killing Leafy feels to me like it would downplay what Firey and Book do. It also makes Firey stealing the farm make less sense and less impactful if others wanted to spare Leafy. I mean why can’t he just team up with the ones who don’t want to kill Leafy instead of stealing the farm.

The paralleled cliff and crane scene is personally by far my favorite scene in the episode. It’s angles, music, lighting, and really everything about it. The characterization isn’t perfect but I wouldn’t change anything a that would make the scene less impactful. I personally am willing to sacrifice some characterization if it makes the ending better and in my opinion it did. I mean it’s one of Firey’s best episodes in the entire series and something I think he really needed as a character.

Now this is all my own personal opinion and what you value is probably completely different from what I value, but that’s just how I think about it.

My Personal thoughts on BFDIA 25

I agree on the cliff/crane scene. BFDIA hit us with beautiful animation and dialogue. I am iffy on the buildup to it but it was well executed. It makes it clear that Firey doesn't want Leafy dead, though he pushes her away -- it's NEVER as far as permanent death. I was rooting for him!!

Book sparing Leafy was heartwarming. It really does add up with how kind Book is. She could have defended Leafy but the crowd would have turned on her. PLUS the people she cares so much about being for killing Leafy.

I hope IDFB shows the transition to Book's abandonment issues getting as extreme as they are in BFB.

like pins characterization was mostly fine up until the end of bfdia 21, and then they started to like. just make her a comedic relief most of the time? and not pay attention to her serious arc that hasnt really gotten closure?? shes the one ive seen the most as shes my favorite character and i pay attention to her the most but theres almost definitely some characters who have also been affected by this lmao,,,

YEAH. Canon silly and comedy seems to have an effect on their characters.

The way canon treated Pin hurts my soul

Like, they've built up this big arc around a traumatized, angry character and how she's constructed high walls around herself. How she was HURT and I feel like she should not be so forgiving of Coiny so quickly. She ends up just going on about how beautiful she is and that's about the extent of it

I dare say Gelatin too. You go into BFDIA and he's got a grounded personality and then the hiatus hits. They bring BFB in, silly and goofy season that's supposed to be reminiscent of season one, and Gelatin's lost all character in favor for being a comedy guy. They don't bother showing that transition when BFDIA returns, he's immediately silly fun goober.

Two... do you have an outline on BFDIE yet, or at least ideas for the characters currently, or is that still in the progress phase?

MMMM yeah it was sad to sacrifice BFB's in-universe title as 4th season. Out of universe, it's placed as 5 with IDFB right before it.

I don't have any big outlines yet! I know I want to keep it lighthearted in comparison to BFDIA, which advertised itself as a goofy and spontaneous season when it actually caused great distress and relationship strains to the top competitors.

Cohesive themes... canon had a lot of cheating didn't it?

The cheaters sailing through the game just to get snuffed out in the end. Depending on how entertaining and disruptive Announcer finds it, they may be able to get away with it. On top of the bullies. (Sorry Sidewalky, there's a difference between playing the game and being a genuine jerk) That doesn't mean they'll make it in the end:

Our winner is Fern, who could serve well as an underdog storyline. He's average, given everything. He has to deal with cheating and a highly competitive environment. It may push him at times but isn't that what BFDIE is meant to do? It's a reality competition show.

Another thing I've done a lot of in the redux is hurt people hurt people. Money would be a great chance to explore that.

The cast would also get the chance to play again if there's another season/if they have motivation to. If a character who's gotten all of their development shows up as a contestant in a new season, they're legible to be replaced by a character from BFDIE who could use the screentime and development, same with TPOT's failed debuters.

Ideally everyone will have small arcs wrapped up by BFDIE's end. Room for more it they make future appearances, but otherwise fine to be left alone.

I also don't know what to do with Nightmare Island but nobody is getting trapped there for years on end. It will follow the trend of winners losing their prize or giving it up somehow.

Redux!Fourteen would run away and never be seen again by doing that. Some sort've scary guy in the woods...

I don't think I've done it yet, so I summon you all for Fourteen's character proposal!

He presents himself as just a guy. You would N O T believe he's a serial killer and cannibal. He's the local prankster, kind've has an annoying but endearing older sibling dynamic with the whole set. Cunning.

Algebraliens would be considered quite eccentric by our societal standards. Fourteen is no different.

Will wander the woods for days at a time. He's got an incredible sense of direction, he just likes to do that.

Indulges in everyone.

ALGEBRALIENS DO NOT HAVE A STABLE RECOVRY SYSTEM. If you die, it's GGs -- but they are impressively durable.

SO killing without powers is brutal and messy. Fourteen loves that. He fights with teeth a lot.

Redux!XFOHV would be one or two seasons. Gives us the chance to look at the algebraliens as side content and lore expansion. Fourteen would get his time to shine there.

It'd be a plot twist. Fourteen disappears from time to time, hints would be dropped in the background, but ultimately Fourteen killing and cannibalizing is a SERIOUS shock.

Over the years, Fourteen gets cocky. Sloppy, lazy, what you have it -- he's never caught. He slips up more, figures it's nothing because nobody EVER notices.

Zro, the zero with a hat, has another set they live with. Part time. They're a pack of zeros and one goes missing. Courtesy of Fourteen, who figures they won't be missed. It's one thing if this Zero has a thing they dip to do but it's been weeks. Zro goes to the Equation Playground set for help.

One classic murder mystery episode follows. Fourteen gets caught and delt with accordingly.

This would be after everything with One, so isolation might just be the route they go with Fourteen. Or Four murks him. It's... Harsh... But something Four would do unless Two steps in.

Even then, Four'd do it anyways. Two might argue against it, Four would say Three was remorseful. Fourteen might play into being remorseful but nobody is going to trust him. Feelings are still raw from One's rampage. Another algebralien would step in and call for them to "JUST DEAL WITH FOURTEEN ALREADY!"

I'd want to do something with Fourteen divided by Two. It might just be something Fourteen did a lot for pranks (and doubling up on victims). It's not like Two would KNOW that and finding such a thing out would hurt Two bad.

I have only a simple world question for you, did you enjoy bfdielsewhere?

I quite enjoyed BFDIE. It filled the gap while we were waiting for new TPOT and BFDIA episodes to release. I ended up watching it with my friends with each new episode!

Announcer doing nothing with the viewer votes is in character. What a guy.

I've been keeping up with BFDI.

SO I will look over what's happening with redux!BFDIA 23 and 24, as well as faint ideas for 25.

SO, from what canon leaves me with:

Coiny is eliminated.

Book wins BFDIA 23.

TB is eliminated.

Book and Needle remain.

THE OUTCOME I DESIRED!! We're having a woman win BFDIA no matter what.

For the redux, I need to use BFDIA 23 to tie up loose ends and set the finale in stone. Tennis Ball will have her stress accumulate. One big explosion -- desperation to win, he's come this far. She goes all out and loses...

Voted out. Tennis Ball is relieved.

Needle and Book are both characters who can be used to explore autonomy. Needle works her ass off for two teams, gets dragged along, experiences the idgaf attitude of Fries, and comes out independent.

Book is a character who depends heavily on others. She had a habit of losing challenges and getting by thanks to audience pity. Winning took aid from her teammates, and that is okay.

However, she doesn't think she can do anything for herself. For Book, even when she tries to win for herself, she finds herself in Pencil's pressure. Pencil WILL attribute Book winning BFDIA to herself and that is the perfect segway for Book's continued story in IDFB.

So, Book lags behind. She worked with a frustratingly pitying Needle in the past -- now Needle won't bat Book an eye. It's about WINNING. TB won't aid Book either. To them, there's no advantage in helping Book -- and the underestimation gives Book the opportunity to blindsided her opponents and win BFDIA 23.

Also: Pin and Coiny aren't buddy-buddy until the very end of the season. They're STILL at each other's throats or Pin's with Leafy.

I want Pin to destroy the new Dream Island. It is her last FUCK YOU to the rest of the cast. She is hurting so bad. It would also keep up the trend of the winner not keeping their prize. (Leafy takes OG Dream Island, Flower gives up her prizes to other object). IDFB would be recovery for Pin.

Pin wouldn't until BFDIA 23 or 24. Coiny was eliminated, ideally by her hands -- and it wasn't enough. How can she go back from this? Leafy can't talk Pin out of it. She's angry. Needle knows no loyalty, why does she deserve to win? Book always supported FreeSmart, why does she deserve to win? Tennis Ball sat back and did fucking nothing, why does he deserve to win?

And I'm not letting Woody take her accommodations, Pin NEEDS those to get around. I'll figure out what to do with that glass bridge. Woody's major story focus would happen in IDFB and BFB.

Pin destroys most of the island in BFDIA 23. Runs off with the last piece, cue glass bridge. She drops it and huddles up somewhere in guilt, shame, and frustration? The only person willing to listen to her was Leafy. Maybe destroying that stupid island is what it will take to make everyone stop and listen. They will eventually and the last piece isn't.. really a dream island, is it? Barely a farm.

Leafy would be trying really hard to be buddy-buddy with everyone. She makes good strides with Pin but Fiery won't budge. He acts like he doesn't know who she is and it feels so petty.

Canon!BFDIA 24 has a deep lore drop about how votes are counted but redux is a lot simpler. Show runners behind the scenes do it via an online voting system. I can use the spare time to give eliminated contestants (and Bubble) some attention. Set people up for their IDFB stories. IDFB would be the season to focus on a lot more lore.

Perhaps redux!BFDIA 24 will be eliminated contestants saying who they'll root for in the finale. Voters in the AU would have other perspectives to listen to if they so desire.

Ideally, Announcer will make an appearance. TV had been running a lot of BFDIA behind the scenes... even though he's supposed to be Announcer's assistant, he ended up with most of the responsibilities AND babysitting his sister. Announcer was busy running another season alongside BFDIA. That would be Battle For Dream Island Elsewhere, BFDIE.

On a side note/tangent... Announcer could show up in early BFDIA once or twice. He ends up dipping for the rest of the season because he gets proposed to host ANOTHER season at the same time, BFDIE. So S1: BFDI, S2: BFDIA, S3: BFDIE, S4: BFB, S5: BFDI: TPOT.

I'll see what they do with BFDIA 25. I think the finale is pretty set in stone though. Emotional climaxes, characters making up, keeping arcs that need to cross over into IDFB.

Everyone assumes it's over after the finale. All of that and the island is gone. But our winners are left with their own feelings...

The two winning options:

Needle still feels victorious because she WON. She won for herself and learned a valuable lesson about independence. It's something she may take to extreme levels, but with the competition over, she's willing to sit and take a break.

Book winning is VERY exciting. The whole season, she's been stressing. She's been working as hard as she can, even though she gets downplayed at every turn. Sure, she's not the best player, and yeah, she kept getting mauled, but she WON!! And Pencil will soak that victory as an extension of herself.

She had to put it on hold during bfb due to not wanting the drums to get damaged during the shows chaos.

It started because there was this idea about a freesmart super band, but only Bubble and Pencil could actually focus, and had the skill to learn an instrument.

Ice Cube gets into drums and releases one single (redux canon)

Hmm...

I can see this. Ice Cube is someone who could use music as a healthy way to vent her frustrations. The rest of FreeSmart...? Pencil is out with Needle half the time in early IDFB, it would give the rest of the team time to hang out. Ice Cube would butt heads with Match and Pencil. Book would be down to participate before she falls into a spiral of self-worth and friendship struggles.

I don't think Ice Cube would be amazing at it. It's the sort of music she caters to herself, not everyone's taste.
