"You look tired, how long has it been since you've had a wink of sleep?" There was concern in their voice.
Cole blinked at them for a long moment, taking a bit to process the words that were said to him - and remember that he needed to actually make his mouth move. “…A while.” He responded, and shrugged vaguely. “I am alright, Inquisitor.”
Cole glanced up from under the brim of his hat, and then shook his head. “I don’t like sleeping,” he mumbled, although the fact that he was absolutely exhausted was clear from the tone of his voice. “…I don’t like dreaming.” He amended. ”Is there a way not to?”
Jai felt their sympathy for the spirit grow. They weren’t a mage, so they never quite understood how scary something like the face could be. There was always the fear of possession — the fear of not being able to resist — it made the inquisitor thankful for not being born a mage.
If it was hard for a mage, then it must be the same for a spirit. Solas had mentioned that spirits can lose their way — be molded into something darker. Is that why Cole didn’t like dreaming?
Was he scared?
”I… Don’t think there’s a way — I mean, not unless you can magically turn yourself into a dwarf. I hear they don’t, er — can’t dream. Some… lost connection to the fade or something.”
"I know you’re not quite used to your human body yet, Cole, but… It needs sleep — you need sleep.”
"Maybe Solas knows something about this? He could have some sort of amulet or… spell...?"
