i know i said i did not want to talk about the nolan odyssey but i do have one more nodyssey post in me. i actually think the idea of odysseus understanding his story as existing both in and out of a historic timeframe is a fun way to handle the liminality caused by the story being part of an extensive oral tradition. however having him say "our age of bronze is collapsing" is perhaps not the way i would have done that

This is wild bc NOBODY said that you have to not shave your legs! It's about having a choice and not being shamed either way! Like op said, it's about feeling comfortable in who you are. If that means shaving, shave! If that means never shaving, never shave!

Ever since I reblogged this I've been getting posts where ppl are like "you HAVE to give up shaving even if you have sensory issues for the good of all women!!!" "If you're shaving your legs you are worthless" actually that's not what I meant at all!!! I'm going to keep shaving bc I like feeling comfortable in my body! I like being able to touch my legs without discomfort!!!

yeah and we should let men be masculine too because the woke mind virus is making men think they have to be feminine and that’s obviously also a huge issue in society. not the social norms, the people trying to dismantle the social norms. they’re the real bigots for forcing all women to give up shaving
