                 maxwell adored to sunbathe.  the lambent of sunshine on a warm but drafty day was an ambience for a nice nap.  as the breeze fluttered through his golden coat, head tween paws, he rested ━━━━ calmly yet with a s m a l l wheeze.  until he heard the crackling of some leaves, to which he woke.  detective maxwell: ON DUTY.      ‷   woof ?   ‴

                 with his snout to the turf, maxwell scampered towards the whiff he found.  it’s domestic.  a scent that just barks ,, OTHER DOGS THIS WAY ,, !  he’s excited ━━━━ too excited as he tumbled over his own stubby legs.  curse these things.  ears perk up, observing past his long booper.  LOOK !  there’s another dog !  a friend !  maxwell made a foolhardy d a s h with handkerchief in tow.           ‷   arf !   ‴
