went to my first soccer game tonight ⚽️ and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life. if you're in barcelona while there's a game (even if you aren't a huge fan), don't miss out! also go to the museum/tour. the chanting is still stuck in my head. (at Barcelona, Camp Nou)

honestly depends on so much. how long you're staying, if the host is providing free room&board (normally), where you're doing it, if you're going out for macedonias and iced coffee like i did almost every day and regret hahaha. to be honest i made sure i had a minimum of $4,000 in my bank account plus my credit cards as back up for just over 3 months. that's mostly for just over the month of traveling i've been doing after i finished doing workaway for 2 months. the most expensive thing has been traveling obviously. if you're JUST volunteering and not venturing out afterwards or during then you'd obviously need a lot less.

italy has been such a wild adventure. thankful for the friends i met, the family i stayed with, espresso, macedonias, pasta, the sea, biking, gelato, nutella, and exploring new cities. arrivederci pesaro! i will be back. (at Pesaro)

hellooo! i absolutely love it.i went through workaway so there are so many things you can do. nannying, farming, working in a hostel. and it's only $60 or so a year for membership. i just searched the area i'm in for opportunities. you don't get paid money. but you're provided a room (in most places it's your own) and free food. so for me it seems worth it! it was easy i just messaged who i really wanted to stay with and they tell you when you could come or you tell them when you can. you can do it for a weekend, week, month, longer! depending. i didn't need a visa either so it's "volunteer" so it made it easy. some places you still need a visa though.
