1905 NKK Harehound trial, featuring left to right: Musik, Turom, Freya, Bella, Lea, Kvass and Seier. Notes describe them as follows:
Kvass, dunkerhund, robust valley type, strong as a mountain, tenor. Musik, dunkerhund, bobtailed, of the 'doughy grocer' type, apoplectic and industrious, second tenor. Bella, dunker bitch, presentable lady and capable maid. Freya, daughter of Bella, "smart and agile, eh?," ladylike, not "yummy" in terms of shape. Lea, dunker bitch, "yummier," beautiful meat and blood, nice and soft to the touch. Advantageous run. Hare grey. Turom, brother to Kvass, not as forward, an immaculate, well-reared and well-dressed gentleman of the Bon ton type. Seier, mixed blood from good lines, originally beagle, hard and tough like an English tourist of the kind the crocodiles don't want. Sportsman with a horsehair brush at the rear. As Oppegaard said, "it hunts well, and it's got a beautiful ass." A comet it was, and it looked like one.
