Transcript of the interview:
Interviewer: Gotham goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger. Talk about this game tonight. Coming off the loss over the weekend last week, how important was it to bounce back for this team tonight?
AKB: First of all, I think I'm really proud of my team, because I think it is a very tough place to play, and to win, especially with the heat and with the altitude. So I'm really proud of the team, but it was also more important to win that game to get the momentum going again because we know that we should have been better against San Diego, because we were not at our best, and I think now for the following games [teammates start cheering "Ann!"] it will be good.
Interviewer: Ann, that triple save in the first half was so big time, it kept your team in the match, what were you seeing and feeling in that moment?
AKB: Uhm, to be fair, I'm just trying my job. To do the best that I can do, and I think if I would had catched the first one, I didn't had to do the two other saves, but I'm glad that I can help my team, and I think that actually it kept us in the game and then we actually switched the momentum to us and I think it was very important.
Interviewer: It's a big week upcoming for Gotham. Obviously get to head back home first of all, but potential debut for Sam Kerr, big game on Wednesday, what can this win do now moving forward into a busy week?
AKB: Uhm, like I said, I think it's good that we won that game, especially because obviously we're playing at home again, the first home game again in a long, long time, after a long break, and I think ... I'm really excited to play at home, and in front of our fans, and hopefully we just take that momentum with us and win the next game.
