shut up

Toudou twiddles his thumbs on a wooden table, leaning slightly into his chair though still maintaining good posture, an attractive pose overall. It’s a little past noon as he waits for his supposed date, already a good 10 minutes late now—how incredibly exhausting, he thinks, exhaling with finesse. He didn’t even want to go on this outing in the first place, really, it was his friends that forced him into it. Toudou wasn’t much of the “blind date” type. 

Still, he agreed—after all, the climber had a generous heart, and what other way to give to the public than to spend time with them? His presence was practically a blessing, as he likes to say. 

He resists getting up to check himself out in the bathroom mirror—5 more minutes, he tells himself. Then he’ll check. Not that he truly needs to, Toudou is already aware of how good he looks, sporting a low cut shirt with his favourite gold necklace.  

He curls a hair behind his ear, eyes perking up when the bell attached to the door jingles as it opens. Toudou drops his hand, struck with shock—but mostly confusion.

”Arakita!?”

He was living in a fucking box, for God's (Fuku-chan's) sake.

So he sucks on a slurry of foul words that suggest exactly where the would-be matchmaker could shove their proposition, and he arrives at the cafe with a characteristic lack of promptness.

Arakita might have summarily turned right around and left if he'd spotted Toudou - would have fled through the streets with embarrassment coloring his cheekbones - but instead he feels a pinch, not unlike a bug bite. His mouth curls into the word, "FUCK." And when he looks up, all of the breath rushes from his lungs.
