A small ginger child tugged shyly on Padmé’s skirt.  “’cuse me, ma’am.  Where am I?  I think I’m lost, and I don’t even know how I left the Temple.”

          She’d been leaving the senate meeting, hands balled tightly into fists. As hard as she and Bail Organa tried, the senate refused to see reason. They followed the Chancellor blindly, not seeing just what they’d all become in the process.            Padmé is so caught up in her own thoughts, stewing in her own frustration, that she almost doesn’t even stop as someone tugs at the end of her long, elaborate dress. It’s only when she hears the voice of a young boy —- a CHILD —- that she halts her pace. “The Temple?” she asks, mind returning quickly the presence. “You’re one of the younglings, aren’t you? How’d you get all the way to the senate building?” Her eyebrows crease with concern, and Padmé lowers herself so that the two are at equal eye level with each other. “What’s your name?” 

Am I the only one who thinks that Obi-wan really was in love with Padme? Come on, the way Ewan portrayed him is a man who had fallen in love with his best friend’s wife/girlfriend.
