Introducing, the Bell family, our protagonists.
From left to right we have: Calvin âJuniorâ Bell (Age 7)
Christine âChrisâ Bell (Age 16)
Calvin Bell (Age 35)
Thomas Bell (Would be Age 6)
This story takes place in the middle 1970s, so I did a lot of research on what people were wearing during that time, and what kind of handmedowns Chris would receive from her grandparents. I also took heavy inspiration for the art style from cartoons from that era as well.
Not very long ago, I ran a tabletop game using the Dread system, with a story written by Kyle Evans from dreadtower.com called âCarnival of Dreadâ.
I have never been prouder of myself as a DM, and I was also very proud of my players, who did such an amazing job giving their roles a real life to them.
While the story is not fully mine, I believe my friends and I made a fantastic story with the lovely frame work Kyle Evans created. And I wanted to share that.
So I will be telling it via web comic
I will post as much as I can. And I hope you all enjoy it.
Prior to releasing the first page, I will be releasing character art and the character sheets my friends filled out.
For those not familiar with the Dread system of tabletop gaming, I recommend going to dreadtower.com as your first stop
Again, credit for the base story goes to Kyle Evans.
