It was starting to get late, the sun easing itself down the horizon, as Hen Wen started on her way home. They day had been busy, she was exhausted and her only focus was to get home, take a long shower and go to bed. Holding tight to her bag, the girl weaved through the heavy foot traffic. Then she suddenly stopped in her tracks, a feeling of pure anxiety clutched her chest, as though her body knew of something she hadn’t quite caught onto yet. Absentmindedly, she began shaking her free hand close to her chest, the other clutching tighter to her bag’s strap on her shoulder, tingling and numbness settling into her hands. Her breaths were short and shallow as her eyes flickered around her, her head staying stationary, it was liking everyone around her was moving so rapidly.
To anyone around her, the behavior might’ve seemed so odd, lasting only a couple of moments. However, to the blonde, it felt like hours. It was dizzying. Her legs felt like jello, the outskirts of her vision darkened and closed in on her. Then a moment later the woman went down, right there in the center of the sidewalk. Against the hard concrete, the woman’s entire torso trembled and twitched; engulfed in the latest episode caused by her trauma.
Without a second to overthink Bella dropped the grocery's bag and ran towards the shaking blond on the sidewalk. She didn't know if the girl was sick or stoned. Not that it really mattered. Bella held her head carefully in her hands preventing her to chop her tongue off in result of the seizure, dried her forehead for several times in a roll and stayed just beside the anonymous girl through the hole episode.
Such attitude wasn't driven by compassion as every single passer would have said, but instead it was driven by the acknowledge that girl was soaked into an ancient kind of magic. She was emanating so much magic from her body that Bella hadn't had to make the slightest effort to devour all the exceeding magic.
The more Bella absorbed, the better the girl was getting and within a few minutes the seizure stopped and the she opened her eyes.
"Are you ok my dear?" Asked the Beldam emulating a true concern about her health state. "I'm the one who runs the Pink Palace Orphanage. It's not far from here, if you want I could get you there and give you a hot drink."
