spending another day at the festival, this time around JORDAN decided to spend it exploring the different food vendors that were out and about. besides singing, dancing and the many other hobbies that took up his time, being a foodie was amongst another โhobbyโ that he enjoyed. there was nothing like spending money on enjoying a great meal โ a meal that will actually fill up your stomach for the entire day.
the first food and dessert combo that JORDAN tried were chicken
and vegetable dumplings alongside fried oreos. once he brought the
items and settled down at an empty table nearby, he then set his
vlogging camera down facing his direction. he had the sudden the
urge in wanting to vlog for his channel since he hadnโt been on it in a
while; and who wouldnโt like someone doing food reviews?
reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the sanitizer to clean his
hands. once he was finish, he reached out to grab the dumplings
first. he thought to himself, dumplings were a pretty easy treat to
make. but, even if you messed up just a tiny step dumplings could
taste pretty dry or overcooked and be hoped what he was going to
JORDAN being the last minute decision maker that he is, decided to take a break from being a workaholic and to have some fun in the upcoming nice weather.
โjojo, please get make sure to get the perfect.. what do you call
them..? umโฆโ while walking around with a souvenir refillable cup in
one hand โ the other had his phone held up to a view his younger
cousin would able to see via facetime. before his cousin could finish
the sentence, JORDAN responded with the word they had been
thinking of for what seemed a good minute. โfancams?โ โyes yes! i
was gonna say thatโ he heard them suck their teeth on the other end
causing him to let out a low chuckle. he enjoyed his cousinโs phone
company for just a few more minutes before playfully threatening
them to finish studying for their schooling.
just only walking around enjoying the scenery and the drink in his
hand of course, JORDAN couldnโt wait to see what was in store for
sua side eyes jordan in thought, sincerely doubting it, but shrugs. "whatever you say," a laugh leaves in a huff, her hair moving around as she shakes her head at him. "maybe i just have an artist's touch," she says dramatically, the corners of her mouth quirking into a small smirk. "you would? should i take a purposefully really bad one then? i'm kinda interested in what you have to say."
nodding her head as he explains, sua fiddles with the camera as she thinks of something to say. "they say those kind of photos are the best ones. really capturing memories in a single snap." sua says quietly, sifting through some of the menu options on the camera. her brows furrow as she chooses some of them, then shrugging to herself. "flowers i feel like you can't mess up in a photo. they always look pretty."
"should we take a selfie to remember this moment?" sua asks, mouth quirking up into a small grin.
his eyebrow rose up slowly as he took another glance, playfully squinting in her direction. โif you purposefully take an extremely bad one i could just lie and say its perfect just to mess up your mind on purpose.โ a small smirk then appeared across his features before a few chuckles followed behind.
โlike it doesnโt even matter the flower either, thatโs how perfect taking pictures of flowers are. flowers and the sky views are actually two of my favorite things to take too. literal perfection!โ once he ended his sentence, JORDAN then did a chefs kiss gesture.
when asked if the two should create a memory by taking a selfie, he nodded his head while returning her grin, moving some hairs away from his face. โand we definitely should. create a whole bunch of memories.โ

JORDAN couldnโt help but to chuckle at suaโs playful face expression after taking his picture. leaning over to see how the picture came out, he nodded his head โ indicating that he liked how it turned out. โoh thatโs a 10/10! look at you about to become a professional in no time.โ
โcandid photos are exactly what they are, yep yep.โ when SUA
mentioned rbf, he knew exactly where she was coming from.
heโs heard of the term plenty of times before โ even sometimes
people would mention it about his own facial expressions; in which
he too would rarely notice about himself.
โi think i get kinda terrible in hiding my facial expressions too. there
are plenty of times where im unable to hide my face especially at the
wrong times and it be so embarrassing.โ he shook his head while
softly laughing. โbut i do think photos could capture great angles of
anything especially if you have a rbf. it lives for the moment.โ
sua blinks at the compliments, before she huffs in disbelief. turning the camera back to her, she mumbles a "yeah, right," in response, but there's the beginnings of a smile pulling at the corners of her mouth. if that's a ten out of ten, then photography must not be as hard as it seems. "you're just being nice."
"i can't help my face." she sighs, shaking her head to herself as she peeks through the viewfinder and looks around. she snaps another picture, more scenery this time, before her gaze moves back over to jordan again. "but i guess...yeah. capturing the moment is the point of it." at least sua's pretty; no one can say she looks ugly in her photos. she can take looking mean or rude or a bitch anyday.
"did you ever have a preference in the type of photos you took?" sua asks curiously. "like...people as the subject, or more landscape? i think landscape and scenery shots would be easier than photographing people."
โmusic is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to heart.โ
JORDAN was now back at his second home. as ecstatic as he wanted to be, he was very stressed out at a few set of dancers not being able to follow his synchronization suggestion he had given to them. each time he would watch the group of six movements, he couldnโt exactly pinpoint WHO could be the problem; but knew what the problem was.
โpause the music please.โ JORDAN spoke softly to his friend that was helping him with the class today. he appreciated them for even volunteering in the first place. or else he wouldโve been screwed being with himself and his thoughts for the next couple of hours. bullet? dodged.
โi had asked you guys to try this choreo again for the second time in
hopes of seeing change. and thatโฆโ he twisted his lips as he eyed
each and everyoneโs faces. he was used to immediately reading how
nervous people became when it came to criticism. as much as he
hated it, it was the only way for people to learn from their mistakes
and make room for growth in the future.
although to this very day, JORDAN barely takes his own advice.
the main focus of todayโs session that JORDAN wanted to go over
was learning and cleaning up mistakes. as a dancer himself, he
knows for sure he made more mistakes than he sleeps. yes he hated
being criticized due to him gaining an insecure feeling that what he
doing may not be โenough.โ but, it helped him in the long run when it
as their conversation about photography and cameras continued, it gave JORDAN the realization on how much he enjoyed this particular hobby. as much as he regretted abandoning photography, he knew he couldnโt time travel to the past to change certain things; but could only worry about what the future could hold if he were to put his time back into the hobby again.
not only was it fascinating in exploring the tools, pros and cons of photography, but being able to have discussions about it with a friend was another plus. he was very appreciative to hear suggestions, brainstorming and making jokes with SUA.
โi think one of these days i just might end up seeing where my mind takes me. as for the idol thingy?โ he shook his head immediately the follow up question. โiโve just been focusing doing my own thing and continuing to help those that have similar dreams and interests like mine.โ
a few seconds later, he had glanced up noticing the camera she was holding was now in his view. placing up two fingers with his dominant hand to make a peace sign, he made a funny face before bursting into soft laughter. โyou know the sad part about fansites, they be the main ones catching all the good angles with these idols. i donโt know how they do it. when i usually use cameras, i think my favorite specialty are catching off guards. if youโre one of those that think you may get overwhelmed tryna find that โperfect angleโ and what not, off guards will be your best friend.โ
sua shrugs. "sounds like a plan to me," she snorts, cracking a small smile. enjoy in the moment and just let your mind take you in the direction you want to go. sua can respect that-- has done that a multitude of times. "how thoughtful of you," sua hums. jordan is very kind, and very considerate, she's coming to learn. that makes sense for him, at least in her mind's view. "am i an example then, today?" she jokes.
the artist's smile twitches at jordan's pose, rolling her eyes despite her snapping a photo of it. the sound the camera emits makes her flinch a bit, pulling away to look at it and view the photo. "cute," she comments off-handedly, turning the camera towards him so he can see it. "thoughts?"
sua thinks about it. she doesn't know much about fansites, couldn't name one if she tried-- but she's seen a photo on her timeline once or twice of idols. and sometimes, just sometimes, she's been a little flabbergasted with awe. "aah...yeah. aren't those ...candid type of photos? like in the moment type of thing?" she's heard that before. sometimes others take the best photos, especially when the subject isn't paying attention. "i'd be afraid the face i'm making is too angry or something." sua snorts. "my rbf is a lot, even when i'm posing for a photo."
JORDAN couldnโt help but to chuckle at suaโs playful face expression after taking his picture. leaning over to see how the picture came out, he nodded his head โ indicating that he liked how it turned out. โoh thatโs a 10/10! look at you about to become a professional in no time.โ

while making sure to keep his full divided attention on the male, JORDAN had nodded his head in agreement to what he had responded with. as much as JORDAN did want to participate in the fun activities, physically he was prepared for the challenge. but, mentally he wasnโt 100 percent with his confidence.
โyou know thatโs exactly why i had to talk myself out of going up there and make a fool of myself.โ he chuckled lightly afterwards. โit seems fun, but to practice, worry about any mistakes, my mind wouldโve been insane. maybe next time you can cheer me on if this were to happen again.โ he responded with a friendly smile. โbut i canโt wait to watch you and your friends get up there. now i can be the one to cheer you on in the sidelines.โ
tae turned his attention to the stage for a moment. it seemed like the set was finished and he clapped along. not that he had been paying much attention but it was the polite thing to do. "well, i hope you do get the chance again, to take the stage when you're confident. you seem like you have a very easy going personality, i could see it translating well on stage." and it wasn't lip service, that being said, maybe his new friend was the type to freeze up on stage even with an easy going personality.
"thanks, it'll help us feel more in the performance." if the crowd really enjoyed their performance, maybe that would sway watchful eyes. "i can admit, i'm a bit nervous. i auditioned for one of the companies once before and i didn't get in. now, i want to make sure i do my best. maybe they'll see an improvement."
"on one hand, it's smart not to join if you haven't been preparing for it." if he thought about the fact that he wanted to become a trainee. he wanted to put on his best performance and get scouted. "on the other hand, you never know what might happen." some people were just lucky, if they had the skills or just charisma. the world worked in strange ways. "if you do decide to take to the stage, i'll cheer you on for the extra confidence."
"and no worries, i'm pretty sure you were sitting here first. it's only right that i squeeze in." it wasn't as if he had much anyway, just a drink and some pastries. "that being said, yes. i'm waiting for my friend to arrive, we're going to be performing together so....fingers crossed." he wanted to win but he could take a loss, as long as he had the chance to audition again.

โokay okayโฆ i had a good reason to abandon photographyโฆ maybe.โ JORDAN mirrored SUAโs frown before he continued his explanation.
โback when i was trying out for the idol thing, i had all my attention on that along with dancing, doing my art and photography. i was as busy as a horse and my parents werenโt havenโt that. sooo.. from there i was forced to put all my focus on one thing.โ as much as JORDAN wished he didnโt pause the activities to focus on one thing, he knew his parents decision wouldโve helped him in the long run; in which it did.
glancing down at the camera that SUA was beginning to play around with, he then nodded his head to her question, โi think theyโre definitely making a huge comeback but by baby steps. a lot of people nowadays are starting to love the small digital cameras. then you have those fansites that use the huge movie style cameras for the idols.โ
sua was mostly joking, but she hears him out none the less, humming as she fiddles with the camera. her lips purse, considering. "well," she starts, instinctively wanting to argue by her default nature-- but she gets it. sua understands that training means most, if not all of your time is dedicated to it. some things have to break. "that...makes sense. justified abandonment, i guess." she snorts, shaking her head. "you ever think about picking it up again?" sua follows up. "you aren't still working on the idol thing, are you?"
"retro stuff always makes a comeback, eventually." sua muses, lifting up the camera to peer at jordan through the viewfinder. she squints a bit. "it's kind of charming. so i get it a bit." though sua can't help but laugh at the mention of fansites. "it's a little ridiculous, sometimes. how do they get that in there?" it feels like overkill. most of the time, your phone can take just as good of a picture-- and it's probably less of a hassel. "is there even like...an art to this? or am i just looking for proper angles?" sua can understand lighting, having had to fiddle with it for facecam streams, but general photography seems like a whole other ballpark.
as their conversation about photography and cameras continued, it gave JORDAN the realization on how much he enjoyed this particular hobby. as much as he regretted abandoning photography, he knew he couldnโt time travel to the past to change certain things; but could only worry about what the future could hold if he were to put his time back into the hobby again.

there was still time before he had his own performance. early enough that he could watch some of the others. he'd be meeting up with heechul soon but he had enough time to wander around. enough time for him to wander up to cafe few and purchase a few items. if there was food around then he wouldn't be too far away. there was also the need to get rid of his nerves. it'd be different if there was some regular talent show but he bought into the rumors. even if he didn't win, there was a chance someone would notice him and give him a chance.
right?
there was an open seat at one of the table's and tae grabbed it for himself just as the current performance finished up. it didn't take long before someone snagged the seat next to him. he hadn't planned on saying anything until their eyes met and there was a slightly moment. one he covered with a smile and a slight bow of his head. "are you performing in the talent show? or have you already performed?" a good as opening as any.

sua doesn't know much about photography, and the only real knowledge she has with cameras is her webcam when she used to stream with facecam. it's been a while since that too, but not as long as a handheld camera that she holds in her hand now.
"hey," she greets jordan when she finally arrives, a smile crossing her face briefly. she extends the camera towards him-- waving a bit to get his attention. it's a handheld digital camera, but the look of it indicates it's something from the early 2010s. "i found this at the thrift the other day. you like photography, don't you?" her eyebrow raises in question. "i have the other stuff for it in my bag. but it's charged and it works. it was dirt cheap, but it has some sort of...novelty nostalgic sort of charm to her." sua snorts, shaking her head. "i got it on whim, but i don't really know much about photography."
finally clearing his schedule, JORDAN was able to create some free time to himself. not only to catch up on some rest, but to be able to participate in other activities aside from dancing. for those that know him are well aware that dancing is his top favorite hobby of all time. however, getting back into his photography hobby was an idea that has been on his mind for quite some time. luckily, he was able to fulfill the desire with a friend by his side.
he didnโt know how much SUA was knowledgeable on photography. either way, he knew it would be a fun moment to experience for the both of them.
after hanging up a facetime call, he noticed SUA not too far away. he gave her a friendly friendly smile along with a wave before spotting the digital camera that she was carrying, โwow, look at you all prepared and ready to learn the fun ways of photography.โ he chuckled softly. โphotography and myself are definitely best friends. well, sorta a best friend that i have abandoned for a little while.โ he joked. โbut no worries today. photography is all about letting your mind run free with all the creativity you can think of.โ
"i like trying new things. sometimes." she tacks on the last bit in a mumble, glancing away from jordan to fiddle with the camera. photography seems like it'd be easy, and sometimes sua can take a picture and be struck with a sense of wow by it. the times are far and few between, so maybe she should learn a little more about it. who else to go to other than jordan? "that's rude. why did you abandon them like that?" sua raises a brow, frowning in defense of photography even if she's mostly joking. sua's dropped hobbies before faster than she could blink; she can't really judge.
eyeing jordan in question, a dubious sounding uh-huh leaves her, glancing down at the camera in question. she turns it on, clearing her throat as it begins it's startup. "do people even use...camera cameras now-a-days?" sua asks, glancing up at jordan, then back down at her hands. "i saw a paparazzi video of some idol and it's always their phones."
