I haven’t posted
in a while, so here is
a poem for you.
Afraid of/Ready for the Future
Changes afoot here New paths walked and old ones left Here changes a foot
This summer I got a taste of a world I was almost a part of.
I am walking on this forested trail and I take a detour where I am able to peer through the ferns and spy at the path just opposite mine. It is so glorious, but hurts just as much - if not more - as mine did. I even reach out my scabbed hand, but I can not reach the sizzling, sparkling sunlight pouring down from above. I stumble back onto my path and continue, still with my head cocked sideways. I can't tear my pupils away, but I don't want to trip. Like a chameleon, I have one eye forward and the other still lingering behind. Now my shoes give me blisters and my chest stretches my shirt. I struggle to undress, but my bare skin is more comfortable this way. My sun does not caress my skin the same way that other beam would have - I'm sure, I just know it. Instead, it slowly cooks my manilla coating to a red crisp. The burbling spring just ahead is a g-dsend. I hobble forward. My shorts won't come off, but I cannot submerge while clothed.
And here we are. Like a newborn giraffe, awkward, eager, and anxious. The leaves are not lime-colored anymore. They blend in with my palms and soles. I only hope I don't drown.
Who knows where the water will sweep me.
- original short story
Casual California (by Roger Muldoon) This is a large all-silk #tommybahama top I got at a #thriftstore today for $4 with some old #cargoshorts. The #floral really pops against nudes and faded yellows.

This Mountain I Climb
I doubt, you know why; confusion escalates high my feet keep moving
Is this real? : A Play on Haikus
PROLOGUE Are you really real throw aside the cast away for another day
ACT 1 I am paralyzed smiling. I threw away my virginity, boo.
I threw it away. My friend said that she took it. But I threw it out.
This was not my choice, at least, I don't think it was. I didn't chose this.
ACT 2 Something is wrong here I know something is wrong here; But can it be fixed?
Every time I leave Every time I try to leave I fall right back here
My face is frozen from when I used to smile and it is still there
Even though I don't want it on my face still, I go along with.
EPILOGUE Digging up old wounds Tearing up dirty stitches So you can see them.
Thoughts - an original haiku
Lonesome, self. Alone
humility and humble
will only help some
Change - a tragic, original love poem
He pulled of his shirt just like James Dean his jeans held on tight like Charlie Sheen as steaming as Marlon Brando as glamorous as Marilyn Monroe as wanted as brothers Franco and just as charming as Leo DiCaprio
He flew cross the country just like a dream it ended so quickly or it would seem but the bubble had popped it was time to go with no way to stop it no yellow light slow and reality moved it's time for the show you want a real answer? 'kay, I'll tell you "no."
Orange - original poem
I miss you I miss you for all that you're worth I miss you I miss you from death until birth I miss you I miss you sweet child of mind sweet child of mine who wears that sweet rind
I loved you I loved you I'd wait by the sill I loved you I loved you and yet, better still I loved you I loved you when I knew you not I loved you I loved you but fruit rinds do rot
I see you I see you still when I dream I see you I see you although it might seem I see you I see you when grey clouds to black I see you I see you there's no turning back
I miss you I miss you you ride in the hearse I miss you I miss you it has gotten worse I miss you I miss you sweet child of mind sweet child of mine please let me unwind.

Vulnerable - an original love poem
There is no right way to love
and there is no wrong way too
whether chicken, quail, or dove
from here to Kalamazoo
My children, love may be blind but its power does strike all and yes you may even find he hides behind every wall
Sing! Your heart! And sing it proud! For love is not to be shamed tis a gift - you give and get and yet you always seem blamed
But bask in the fear and fright for love is a scary sight! It plagues your soul, eyes blind with wool and still, it makes your life full!
Adolescence - an original poem
4 a.m.
You lay nude awake
hearing awful gurgling guts
screaming for some peace.
- an original haiku
Original song lyrics
Oh it's true what they say about the heart growing fonder as distance and time increase
This fairy-tale feeling parasitic but sweet it's all because he's
like a good book and cocoa that you curl with by a window on a rainy afternoon like a roller coaster ride there's a thrill but you're strapped inside fly the swift wind o'er the moon
I must be going crazy unless it was your kiss that gave this sudden spark
I only saw you once but that was just enough to lead me from the dark
you're a natural disaster make my heart start beating faster and you sweep me off my feet you're a feast after hunger quench my thirst but leave me eager for more of this candy treat
Sorry for alarm but bells keep ringing Sorry for alarm you got me singing Please understand I hope that you see Please understand We were meant to be
Oh it's true what they say about the heart growing fonder as distance and time increase
Kiss, Kill, Marry - an original poem
This is where the story will start. It begins with the crush who stole my heart.
The lady's man tried once, me, to kiss. But startled, I flinched! so sadly he did miss.
And then came a girl whose name sounded shrill in my rage-swelled ears; she I could easily kill.
Lastly the princess -or was she a fairy?- casts a spell on my eyes. One day, we will marry.
Finally we leave with hope, and this is where the story will end.

There Once Was a Dream
There once was a boy who had a small dream a dream so achievable to anyone it would seem petty or tiny insignificant reach for the stars they would taunt but really he just would want
love! he only wants love! he only wants someone to curl with at night someone who fills his delight to the moon they would fly!
There once was a girl who had the same dream a dream so believable to anyone it would seem foolish or funny indubitably easy, too simple, they'd roar but really she just yearned for
love! she only wants love! she only wants someone to curl with at night someone who fills her delight to the moon they would fly!
and who would have thought they ever would meet lucky happenstance do they have a chance for their dream to come true?
