“Yuu!” Just in time Ace and Deuce come bursting through the door.

“Good morning you two, so the usual?-” Before Yuu could finish Ace pushed a piece of paper in front of Yuu’s face.

“Yuu! You won’t believe what happened!” Deuce exclaims as Yuu takes the paper from Ace’s hand.

It’s an advertisement for a fighting ring, an upcoming competition.

“We just got three free tickets from Cater for the upcoming fight, and with Savanaclaw hosting it you know it’s gonna be a blood bath.” Ace beams.

“So it’s a fighting competition?” Yuu looks over the poster showing two fighters going at it with a Savanaclaw symbol branded at the bottom.

“You never heard of them?” Ace gasps. “You're a bartender how could you have not heard about it?!” Ace takes the poster back.

“I don’t keep up with fighting rings.” Yuu shrugs.

“This isn’t an ordinary fighting ring, it’s the best around only a select few can even view it and only the best fighters get a chance to participate,” Deuce explains.

“Yeah, and this year it’s time for the NRC King’s Roar where every gang gets a representative to compete against Savanaclaw’s best. If you win you get a lot of money and street cred, the gangs around here love the excuse to fight each other and show off so it’s a huge deal.” Ace takes out a ticket handing it to Yuu. “Cater wanted us to invite you, to come out and have some fun, I’ve only seen you working at the bar.”

“Thanks, but I don’t know if I want to watch fighting.” Yuu shakes their head.

“You don’t have to watch the fight. The Savanaclaw district has clubs and high-class bars, and the arena is full of activities to do everyone’s gonna be there.” Deuce adds.

“Think about it like this you can get new inspiration for drinks and get a low down of what the trends are nowadays.” Ace leans in.

“Please come with us Yuu!” The boys beg with wide pleading eyes.

Yuu can’t say no to that, and for such an exclusive event Cater must’ve had a hard time getting the tickets

“Fine… I’ll go but I won’t stay for the whole time.” Yuu sighs giving in to their pleas.

“Yes!” Ace pumps his fist in the air.

“This is going to be fun trust us Yuu.” Deuce smiles.

“We shall see, now do you two want the usual?”

“Yes”

“Yes please.”

Yuu nods their head getting the drinks and dishes ready.

“And another thing they're going to have events before the big fight. These tickets will allow us to get into everything.” Ace watches Yuu work around the bar and kitchen getting their orders out fast.

“How did Cater manage to get them?” Yuu raises a brow. These tickets seem a little too exclusive.

“Something about a friend owing him I think.” Deuce answers even though he seems a bit unsure.

“Who cares as long as they're ours now.” Ace lets out a wicked grin as Yuu comes over with their dishes.

A hot Cherry pie and an egg sandwich for her two regulars.

“Meow!” A high-pitched whine comes from Grim as the puffball jumps on the counter trying to after Ace’s pie.

“Urgh get away cat!” Ace holds the plate above his head as Grim tries to swat at it with his gray paws.

“Grim seems more food-driven today.” Deuce takes a bite out of his sandwich.

“I know right, he’s been begging for food all morning even though he’s already eaten.” Yuu could only watch for so long before Ace drops his pie on the floor. The bartender takes the cat getting out some cat treats from a nearby cabinet to please the small food goblin for a little. Grim rushes upstairs happily with a treat in his mouth.

Ace lets out a sigh of relief finally able to enjoy his pie in peace.

“Besides the competition? Anything else happening?” Yuu asks handing the boys some glasses of water.

“Ever since Riddle’s accident, it’s been pretty quiet. Now we can focus on who led the attack.” Deuce explains finishing his sandwich.

The attack, Yuu had almost forgotten about all the recent events. The gangs must still be trying to investigate things. Now with Riddle’s overblot over the question remains why such a talented magic user went overboard without anyone noticing before it was too late, along with adding the other overblots something isn’t adding up. The thought just makes Yuu’s head hurt as they focus on their two friends chatting away at the bar.

Now that Yuu thinks about it they wonder what the Savanaclaw district is like. They have only heard Vargas talk about it and the other teachers say it’s a pretty rowdy place compared to the other districts. Yuu heard its full of fighting rings, nightclubs, and themed bars very much a party district for more of the common man. Crewel always talked about how unrefined individuals like to hang around there, but it just intrigued Yuu more. The gang leader of Savanaclaw can be pretty lax with the rules when he wants to be. Yuu won’t admit it right away but they could use a fun night out with some dancing and drinking. One thing the district has is a lot of exotic vegetation and even it’s own botanical garden is said to be pretty remarkable. Savanaclaw was founded by the King of Beasts from the Afterglow Savanna so a lot of the architecture is based around those lands. With that information, Yuu can’t help but be a little excited.

“Will there be any events at the botanical garden?” Yuu asks.

“Um, I think so.” Deuce looks over the flyer containing the events. “There is a new bloom of flowers showcasing for the locals but we get to get in for free with our tickets.” Deuce exclaims.

“I would love to go see for myself.” Yuu perks up.

“Really? Then we should go right away.” Ace finishes his pie.

“I have work,” Yuu states.

“It’s a bit empty today everyone is over in Savanaclaw, besides a little break won’t hurt.” Ace leans on the counter letting out a sly grin.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and the bar has no customers besides Ace and Deuce.

“And it said pets are welcomed.” Deuce cuts off Yuu’s thoughts.

Grim jumps on the counter meowing up a storm.

“Aw, Grim do you want to go.” Yuu scratches under his chin.

Grim purrs in response placing a gentle paw on Yuu’s hand. How could Yuu say no to that? “Fine let me get ready.” Yuu give in.

“We’ll watch the bar and the cat for you.” Ace smiles watching Yuu head upstairs fist pumping Deuce when they are out of eye shot.

Yuu changes into more causal clothes and finding a shoulder bag for Grim to relax in as they make their way downstairs. The ribbon around their neck fits well with their outfits, no surprise that Crewel made it so. When they reach the bar Ace and Deuce wait by the door talking amongst themselves.

“I’m here, just let me lock up first.” Yuu places the bag on the counter as Grim plops right in. He sure is a smart cat, a very lucky find in Yuu’s case. Grim looks even happier with the surprise trip outside letting out a set of happy meows.

Ace and Deuce stop their conversation to stare at Yuu in their new outfit standing up a bit straighter as they walk past.

“Woah you look different outside of your normal uniform.” Ace lets out a stretch as he steps outside.

“Thanks, I guess.” Yuu chuckles locking the door behind them as they start to head to the Savanaclaw district of the city.

“So do you like plants Yuu?” Deuce starts up the conversation as they walk. The weather was nice today with little clouds in the sky.

“Yes, I would like to find space to plant some at the bar, but I haven’t had time to,” Yuu answers.

“You should come to see the main garden that Heartslaybul takes care of you’ll like it for sure,” Ace suggests.

They continue their talk about the different places they should visit as they get closer to the district it starts to get more crowded. Music can be heard from every corner as dancers grace the street. It seemed like the public treated this event as a festival of sorts drawing in people from all over with its variety of activities. The smell of food lingers in the air making Yuu’s mouth water.

“Sautéed Mutton over here here!”

“Steamed Bananas 3 marks!”

“Rice crepes anyone want a rice crepe!”

Food vendors from trucks and stalls yell out into the changing crowd grabbing the attention of many passersby. Restaurants with outside sections put on food prep performances catching the eyes of many people. This place was full of surprises and of course, Ace, Deuce, and Yuu had to stop for some treats on their way to the garden.

The garden was easy to spot with its giant glass doom looming over the center of the district a line of people appeared around it taking pictures with family or buying from vendors around the area.

“Woah it’s bigger than I thought it would be,” Yuu exclaims as they walk up to its doors.

The guard at the door sees their tickets and lets them through. Yuu couldn’t believe the whiplash of coming out into the city and a giant jungle. They couldn’t believe something like this was possible on the concrete streets. The smell of fresh flowers fills their nose as live greenery surrounds them at every corner.

“This place is impressive.” Deuce looks around in awe at Yuu.

“It’s fine, but I’m more into the nightclubs.” Ace yawns as he follows Deuce and Yuu down a designated path.

“I can’t believe they have all these kinds of plants. It must’ve taken years to collect them all.” Yuu bends down to look at a bright red flower as big as their head. Grim sniffs around from the bag eyes darting to every corner.

“Well yeah this place is funded by the gangs, a lot to get potion ingredients are made here and a whole group and gang members use this place to conduct potion experience,” Ace says in a hushed tone as a family passes by.

Yuu shouldn’t be surprised that this has ties to the mafia and gangs. Though it would’ve been nice if some places could remain untouched by criminal activity. However in NRC that is just a daydream. Yuu stands up from inspecting the flowers as they make their way around the garden with Ace and Deuce. They stop by an outlook of a man-made waterfall to sit down on the available benches. It is then when they catch their breath when Ace’s phone rings.

“Damn.” Ace frowns fishing out the phone from his pocket. “Hello? Oh hey, Trey. What Really?! Do we have to? Ugh, fine later Trey.” Ace hangs up the phone angrily and turns to Deuce.

“We’re needed back at Heartslaybul.” Ace sighs.

“Really?” Deuce asks.

“Yes.” By the look on Ace’s face, it seems to be serious. “Sorry Yuu but we gotta go, do you want us to take you home?”

“Oh no it’s okay, I wanna stay here for a bit.”

“Are you sure?” A flash of worry crosses Deuce’s face.

“Yeah, don’t worry guys I know how to take care of myself, promise.”

“Okay, but text us when you're back home, and don’t stay out too late.” Deuce advises.

“And here take this.” Ace hands them their ticket. “Don’t lose it okay.”

“I know, now get back to Heartslaybul before you get scolded.” Yuu waves them off as they offer up their last goodbyes. Yuu watches until they disappear among the crowd. They then lean back on the bench a rest their head letting the sound of the waterfall and smell of place bring them to a point of peace. Maybe one day Yuu can see a real waterfall and see the plants in their natural habitat. Until then they can just take in the sights the city has to offer.

“Meow!” Grim starts moving around in the bag very frantic.

“You okay Grim?” Yuu looks into the bag to check on their feline friend but he jumps out of the bag racing into the bushes.

“Grim no!” Yuu jumps up looking around to see that the outlook is all but barren now, with no one to see them going off the path. Yuu ventures into the tall bush being very careful not to step on any precious plants. “Grim come back.” Just how big is this place? This might as well be an actual jungle. Pushing away any low-hanging vines and leaves Yuu finally reaches a clearing seeing Grim munching on a berry bush. “Grim you bad cat spit that out,” Yuu whispers harshly going in to scoop up the ball of fur until they step on something on the ground.

At first, Yuu thought it was a stick up until it started moving making the bartender jump back in surprise. It’s long and brown with a tuft of fur at the end resembling that of a tail.

“Oh, great sevens.” Yuu gasps watching the tail disappear into the foliage as a deep growl causes their blood to run cold. They wouldn’t have animals in the garden, right? The sound of the growl alerts Grim as he dashes back into the bag having get his fill of berries.

“Who the fuck stepped on my tail!” I voice erupts from the bushes as a hand shoots out grabbing Yuu by the collar. The person now makes themselves known by stepping into the light.

Long brown hair cascades down his shoulders and back as a loose-fitting shirt covers his shoulders but exposes his chest. Vibrant green eyes glare at Yuu as white fangs reveal themselves. A large scar rests on his eye making his identity known. Leona Kingscholar ruler of Savanaclaw holds onto Yuu tighter bristling with frustration.

Riddle Rosehearts🌹 It is then he hears Leona say something rather interesting.

"Ha, Is that Yuu?!" The beastmen takes a chug of his whiskey peering down at the crowd. Riddle's head turns around so fast to see that Leona is in fact not lying.

"Y-Yuu." Riddle had to peer down at the crowd to see that it was in fact the bartender he knew so well.

Yuu their Yuu was in the middle of the crowd with a drink in hand busting it down like no tomorrow. Riddle has to cover his eyes his face flushing a bright right.

"What are they doing!?" Riddle has to turn away. He knows deep down this is so improper, but he can't just leave Yuu here they are probably intoxicated. Riddle's head is running with all the lessons they taught him in school about not drinking and doing drugs.

So Riddle is a big mess once presented with the fact that Yuu can get drunk and goes a little crazy when they do.

Leona Kingscholar🦁

Leona knew he smelled something familiar in the crowd he just couldn't believe it was true when his eyes saw the prefect beating someone in a game of shots. He can't help but laugh out loud making the other leaders raise a brow to what was so funny.

"Honestly Leona would it kill you to compose yourself?" Vil rolls his eyes.

"You should tell the herbivore they're on their third round of shots." Leona holds in his stomach as the other leaders see what he's talking about. This is comedy gold, the usually stone-faced bartender now has a look of drunken smiles as they rally for another round of drinks.

Leona has to keep a note to see them tomorrow morning. The sight of them hungover will make getting up early worth it.

Azul Ashengrotto🐙

Azul spit out his drink when Leona announced that the bartender was down on the floor partying away. If only he had Jade and Floyd here he would've had them take notes and gather evidence. He has to see him for himself, but oh boy, Yuu will definitely not remember this tomorrow.

Yuu just gambled and won a poker game with money they probably don't have all while their drunk.

Azul makes sure that this is imprinted into his memory in case he could offer some assistance to cover this all up, but for now, he enjoys seeing this new side Yuu. He's so happy he orders a round of drinks for the group to enjoy the show.

Kalim Al-Asmin🌧

To think the one time he sneaks out without Jamil he gets to party with Yuu. He thinks its meant to be, and he starts to run down the stairs until Leona catches him by the collar.

"Hold on, don't scare them away." He lifts up Kalim like a cub.

"But I wanna dance with Yuu!" He whines letting out a pout.

"If they see you they'll run and the show is over for the rest of us." Leona smiles as he thinks of a plan. "Let's do this after this party invite them to one of yours and tell them of what you saw here tonight. Then they will join you." Leona lets out a sly smile thinking about how embarrassed Yuu would be to hear their activities from Kalim's mouth.

Kalim of course didn't catch Leona's mischievousness as he beams with joy.

"That's a great idea, don't worry I'll just watch from here." Leona lets him go as Kalim goes to watch Yuu over the railing and to keep the party going he buys everyone's drinks.

Vil Schoenheit👑

He at first found the party rather dull he prefers galas and banquets this fit his sophisticated style, but alas he his presence was called upon and who was he to refuse.

Vil can notice Leona acting more smug as the seconds go by and it annoys him. He just has to know what cat the big cat is so excited and he still can't believe what he saw as he struts over to the railing to survey the crowd. There is his potato wearing an absolutely stunning outfit that he has seen on the exclusive Crewel line, and he can't even get his hands on it. The glass of wine nearly breaks in his hand as his head spirals with questions. Has the bartender always been able to reach this level of beauty? Where did they get those clothes? Why are they dancing on the table? It's wrinkling the garments! It's safe to say Vil will be giving Yuu a long lecture on etiquette and proper clothes care.

Idia Shroud 📱

Idia loathes public appearances and this gathering was overstimulating to no end. He's only here because Ortho forced him to go outside by locking down his electrics. He will have to rework his protocols when he gets back home.

So in the meantime, he sits by Azul with his hood over his head sipping a glass of water. He whips his head around when he hears the bartender's name watching with the rest of them. His phone is going into overdrive trying to film the whole thing while also pulling up information about the people Yuu is with.

A goofy smile spreads on his face with all the information he gathered. He'll have to buy Ortho a new toy for this wonderful idea.

Malleus Draconia🐉

Malleus was thankful to be invited and he was able to successfully enjoy some time to himself with Silver or Sebek. This new world still amuses him and the people in it especially give him great interest. One such person is Yuu the bartender of the Silver Bullet. They never treat Malleus any different and offer a comforting presence whenever he needs some time to think.

It is safe to say he has grown fond of the child of man. He noticed their presence the minute they walked in. He watches the spectacle with the rest of the leaders his face showing a range of emotions. He never knew Yuu was that flexible or that athletic it seems Malleus is discovering new sides to them every day.

Yuu sits by the bar once again all bandaged up and healing from their wounds watching the gang mingle and enjoy their time at the party. Riddle pours tea for his fellow members as Trey stands next to him, proud. Hearing from Ace it seems Trey had his own apologizing to do when it came to not speaking up about Riddle’s behavior to Riddle himself pitying the gang leader for his past hardships. Since that day, Yuu can’t stop thinking about their dream with the young Riddle. Yuu tried to bring it up to the leader himself, but he seemed unaware of what Yuu was talking about. Not to mention the strange black crystal they found in their pocket after the incident, said crystal is now safely at home until Yuu could figure out what to do with it. They go back to enjoying the party taking a sip of the signature drink of the evening strawberries and cream. It’s as much of a happy ending as it good be. 

“Ew what is this!” 

Well almost good. Riddle, Ace, Deuce, Trey, and Cater surrounded the snack table standing by the batch of tarts the leader made. Ace’s face convulses in disgust having to spit out a piece of said tart. 

“It’s so satly.” Ace gags. 

Trey takes a small bit out of his tart cringing at the taste. 

“Riddle what did you put in this?” 

“I put in oyster sauce like you said.” Riddle tilts his head. 

“Riddle dude are you serious?” Cater laughs taking a picture of the moment. 

“I think Trey was joking when he said that Riddle.” Deuce also tried the tart doing his best to swallow it down. 

“I was in fact joking.” Trey starts to laugh as everyone joins him. 

Yuu smiles from the side taking a sip of their drink glade the gang leader seems to have relaxed and let go of his strict mindset, at least most of it. 

The party ended on a good note as Deuce was nice enough to take Yuu home on his blast cycle. Once he was gone Yuu let out a deep sigh heading to their apartment above the bar. As they reach the door a sound alerts them from inside a familiar sound of a radio being played. Yuu opens the door to be greeted by the roar of a fire place as Divus Crewel sits on the armchair beside it. He seems right at home legs crossed with a book in his hand. 

“Getting home rather late pup.” He sets the book down on a side table.

Yuu closes and locks the door behind them, as Grim greets them with a song of meows. 

“Hello Crewel.” Yuu sighs putting their jacket on the coat rack before picking up Grim. 

“Hm formal today are we?” He raises a brow. 

“Well, I’m surprised to see you in my home is all.” Yuu takes a seat on the couch across from him. 

“Does a guardian need a reason to check on his pup? Besides we taught you to never be surprised.” 

Grim jumps off Yuu’s lap to finish his left over food watching Crewel in the corner of his eye. 

“I was taught it was polite to at least send a heads up before entering someone’s home.” Yuu crosses their arms. 

“You’ve gotten cheeky since I’ve been away.” He smirks taking a smoke out of his cigarette. “Let’s cut to the chase puppy, I know you’ve realized the overblot issue we are facing right now, and you getting involved with Heartslaybul was a very foolish decision.” He stares right through Yuu. “The others are thinking we should bring you back home if this newfound freedom is too much for you.” 

“I’m fine I handled it.” Yuu starts. 

Crewel gets up quickly lifting Yuu off the couch by their arm making the bartender wince. 

“Your injuries say otherwise.” 

Yuu pulls their arm out of his hand. 

“You know you shouldn’t get too involved.” He lowers his voice. 

“I wasn’t trying too.” Yuu huffs. 

“You where certainly trying when you nursed that red haired mutt weren’t you?” His voice drips with sarcasm. 

“What was I supposed to do let him die?!” Yuu raises their voice. 

“Your supposed to be smart, and have the upper hand. To much affection will cause others to use it as a weakness.” Crewel flicks them on the forehead.      

Yuu looks up at him rubbing the affected area. 

“If you continue to go this route your heart will be beaten and scattered on these streets.” 

Yuu looks down at the floor Grim comes by to rub against their leg as a moment of silence passes through the apartment before Crewel sighs pinching the bridge of his nose.        

“We just want you to be safe.” He takes out a small black box from his pocket. “Here we thought you needed more protection.” 

“But I already have the guns and the bar is full of traps-” Yuu opens the box to see a simple black ribbon. “Uh what’s this?” 

“It’s a ribbon.” He takes out the simple black ribbon putting it around Yuu’s neck. 

“We have been working on infusing clothing with magic. This will let us know when your in danger and it will protect you.” He finishes making sure Yuu is comfortable. 

“It feels more like a collar.” Yuu mumbles already pulling on the ribbon. 

“It’s just to make sure your safe.” Crewel places their hands on Yuu’s shoulder’s. 

Yuu gives Crewel a small nod. 

“There that’s a good pup.” He gently pats Yuu’s head letting a silence fall over the apartment once more. 

Across town, flashing lights beam down on the arena as blood and teeth litter the floor. Leona Kingschalor punches his opponent across the jaw sending him flying out of the ring. The ground roars his name as he stares at the glittering lights around him. The referee comes over to lift his hand letting the crowd know who the true winner of the match is. Leona doesn’t stay long in the ring after receiving his trophy. He hops over the rope waiting for Ruggie Bucchi to hand him a towel. Leona grabs it wiping the sweat from his face. Once they get backstage Leona finally speaks. 

“So any news?”   

“Everyone is still in an uproar about Riddle’s overblot but the Heartslaybul guys threw a party today,” Ruggie answers. “Very carefree if you ask me.” He yawns. 

“Doesn’t matter once we accomplish what we need to do things will finally be in its rightful place.” Leona smirks as they reach his dressing room. “So they better be prepared.” He closes the door behind him and Ruggie as the crowd cheers in the background. 

They all screamed causing Yuu to cover their ears.

"Woah slow down, one at a damn time! what the fuck is going on?!" Yuu yells slamming their hands on the counter.

The five of them calm down as silence falls over the bar. Yuu rubs their temple taking a deep breath.

"Now tell me what happened, one at a time." Yuu places a hand on their hip looking at the boys in front of her.

"You mean you don't know?" Jack raises a brow.

"I don't know anything." Yuu shrugs.

The boys look at each other as Deuce fishes out his phone from his pocket. He clicks on the video sent from Cater and shows it to Yuu. It's the video of Yuu dancing with their old childhood friend. Yuu grabs his phone staring with wide eyes not knowing what to say. Yuu watches till the end handing the phone back to Deuce as they take a moment to think.

"H-how did you get this?" Yuu tries their best to hold in their anger. It's likely not their fault, so they shouldn't go off on them.

"It's been passed around many of the gangs around here, nearly everyone has seen it." Ace rubs the back of his neck.

"Everyone..." Oh no. Yuu couldn't even finish their thought as the bell chimes from the entrance.

"Yuu what a pleasure it is to see Yuu." Azul sings from the doorway along with the Leech twins at his sides.

The rest of the gang leaders and members filter into the shop some giving Yuu a small wave. Azul snaps his fingers and Jade goes to lock the bar door, and Floyd flips the sign from open to close.

"Ace, Deuce what are you doing here?" Riddle steps closer to the bar.

"Oh, we're just saying hi to Yuu right guys." Ace leans against the bar looking over at his friends as they all start to nod their heads.

"Yeah, we're just passing by," Epel smiles.

"Oh really Epel, I thought I specially told you to practice your skin routines this morning and yet here you are skin dry and flaky." Vil opens his fan showing the displeasure in his eyes.

Epel gulps looking down at the floor.

Yuu places a hand on their hips giving a unamused look at the group before them.

"Okay, what is it that you want?" Yuu gestures to gang leaders.

"It has come to our attention that we haven't laid out the rules with you." Riddle speaks up swinging his Spector.

"Rules?" Yuu raises a brow crossing their arms.

"Yes, it seems you have been around some unsavory characters and since we are business partners we wanted to express our concerns along with giving some advice." Azul clears his throat.

"And what advice would that be?" Yuu asks.

"Don't hang around people we don't want you to." Leona leans back on a chair putting his feet on the table.

"Excuse me?!" Yuu raises their voice causing the others to jump a bit.

"No need to get upset dear, it will cause wrinkles." Vil cuts in.

"We saw you dancing with someone Shrimpy." Floyd comes up to the counter to rest on it giving Yuu his crazed stare.

"You two seemed awful close." Jade chuckles.

"We just wanted to know who they are is all." Azul tries to wave away the tension.

"That's none of your business." Yuu states plainly.

"No reason to get upset Child of man." Malleus finally speaks up from his spot in the shadows.

"Yes, I do have reason to be upset. I was clearly stalked, and then you all of the nerve to tell me who I can hang out with in my own time." Yuu's voice starts to get higher with every word.

"Dear Trickster please do not be to upset." Rook speaks up.

"Quiet Rook, it was probably you who took the video!" Yuu snaps back.

Rook shuts his mouth at that, the man is quiet for the first time since they met.

"Now, Now let's calm down." Trey tries to ease the tension.

"No all of you get out!"

The bar goes silent all eyes fall on Yuu.

"Yuu come on don't be mad." Cater tries to soothe the angry bartender.

"You all dare come in here and treat me like a child. I'm an adult I can do what I want and see who I want. So long as it doesn't bother your meetings you shouldn't be in my business. You don't own me okay?" Yuu states. "Now thank you all for being so concerned, but I will be taking a little break as of today." Yuu puts on a fake smile.

"Chill out it's not that serious your totally freaking out over nothing." Idia's floating tablet mumbles.

"What was that Idia, care to speak up?" Yuu glares at the tablet.

"N-no..."

"Good, now all of you get out." Yuu.

"Ha and if we don't?" Leona teases.

"Well since you can't respect me then I see no reason to continue this deal we have.

"You don't mean that right Yuu?" Kalim looks around the room in concern.

"Oh, I mean it. It seems you all need me a lot me then I need you." Yuu can see a flash of hurt behind some of their eyes, but their blood is boiling too much to feel sorry right now.

"Y/N is that you?" A voice breaks Yuu's train of thought as they turn to see a familiar face.

It was a friend from the orphanage Yuu stayed at. They never thought they would see them again. Especially hearing their real name after all these years.

"F/N it's you?!" Yuu couldn't believe their eyes jumping over the counter to give them a hug. "I can't believe it's you. What are you doing here?"

Yuu's friend picks them up and spins them around embracing Yuu with the same energy.

"Of course it's me, I haven't seen you in years, I can't believe you're here." F/N puts Yuu down. "I should ask what are you doing here Y/N?"

"I work as a bartender," The gesture to the bar behind them. "And I go by Yuu know."

F/N looks at Yuu in confusion but soon puts the pieces together.

"I see the years have changed both of us." F/N gives Yuu a sad smile. "After you disappeared from the orphanage I got adopted, by a pretty wealthy family. They are close to Crewel so I go to these parties often." They rub the back of their neck.

"I'm glade you found a family." Even if they are likely tied to the mafia if they are close to Crewel.

"Yeah, you could say I got lucky." They shrug.

Yuu can guess there is probably more there given Yuu's own past, but it's not their business to pry.

"So I'm guessing they're talking to Crewel right now." Yuu looks over to the grand stairs to the double doors at the top where Crewel holds his special meetings.

"Yeah, and I'm guessing you're waiting for Crewel?" F/N raises a brow.

"Yeah," Yuu chuckles.

"Which means we both have time to kill." F/N smirks.

"Yes, it would seem so." Yuu gives them a sly smile.

Music floats through the hall, has Yuu pictures all the dancing that took place earlier that day. The flowing bodies and the adoring smiles. Those who knew Yuu could tell they loved to sing and dance something their teachers took advantage of very often. It's been so long since Yuu has danced just for themselves. F/N can see them start to sway along with the tune. They outstretch their hand in front of Yuu catching the bartender by surprise.

"Really?" Yuu questions looking around, the staff and guards not really paying them any mind.

"When we dance it will be just us, like old times." F/N gives Yuu a warm smile.

How could they say no to that?

Yuu threw caution to the wind just this once and took their hand their bodies swayed and entwined to the music. They laughed and smiled on the dance floor, for it was true it felt like they were the only ones in the world to witness this moment.

Sadly like most gifts in the NRC, some things are too good to be true. Up in the rafters of the hall sits a hawk smirking with glee at what they happen to witness transpire.

"Magnifique," A camera snaps as the hawk can't help but admire his work. He didn't expect Yuu to be here or to get this thrilling scene in front of him. His queen would be most pleased with his work indeed, and to think he can see the beautiful image of Vil's scowl looking at the pictures and videos he procured. Not just Vil's of course, Yuu's beauty is too grand to share just with him and Vil, no Rook must tell the world about this diamond in the rough. Rook didn't wait to sneak out after the dance was over gleeful as he hums along to the song.

Much to Yuu's dismay it would be a long time before they could feel this relaxed with the flames of jealousy swirling around them from the mafia boys at the discovery of the treasured dance.

Vil was the first to witness the video and pictures, and even he couldn't find a flaw in Yuu's movements. The Pomefiore leader couldn't believe his eyes at the 180 the bartender could undertake, and their smile was so real and so beautiful he had to admit deep down it rivaled his own. Even Epel got to catch a glance has Vil was in a daze and he had to admit Yuu was a fine dancer. The last part he said out loud shocking Vil out of his thoughts has his emotions ran wild ordering Epel to go re do his makeup a ridiculous number of times along with the rest of Pomefiore to try to calm his emotions.

Rook did not keep this a secret he sent copies of the dance to the other leaders sitting back to watch the show. Leona couldn't help but smirk, the herbivore probably had no idea this was captured seeing their surprised face would make this worth while, but the person they where dancing with caused a bit of his blood to boil. The bartender was theirs's who would dare touch them so carelessly, and how dare Yuu laugh and enjoy their company it seems the bartender needed a reminder on their role. He makes Ruggie take the case to find any dirt on the person Yuu was with. As Jack stares at the video in awe trying hard not to show it.

Azul and the Leech twins had the same reaction in a way. If Azul knew Yuu had this talent he would have exploited them long ago when he had them in a binding contract. He needed to know who Yuu's friend was. It could be his one clue to find out who the bartender really was. The twins wanted Yuu to play with them instead and would deal with this mysterious figure that foolishly danced with their shrimpy.

Kamil stares at the video in a strange quietness a small frown adoring his face. Yuu looked so happy and was a wonderful dancer. Why didn't they ever dance with him? Did Yuu not like him? Who is that beside them? Kamil has so many questions and was in deep thought, so much that it worried Jamil at his state. Even Jamil couldn't help but raise a brow as the video questioning how stupid Yuu's dance partner must be since they now have a target on their back.

Idia made several copies of the video making sure he has it forever. He analyzed every moment of Yuu's dance partner and began to search the web to try and figure out who this person was that was so close to Yuu to dance with them. Ortho loved the video and hoped Yuu would one day ask his brother to dance with them as well. He himself now wanting to study dance styles and techniques to try out himself.

Riddle spits out his tea after viewing the first view seconds of the video. Trey rushes to clean up the mess as everyone wonders what disturbed the treasured tea time. Ace looks over Riddle's shoulder to see whistling at Yuu's dance moves soon telling the group making them gather around. Deuce is awe struck at the dance and how well Yuu knows the moves. Cater wants to post it online and tell everyone how they have a five star dancer in NRC. Trey is the first one to bring up who they are dancing with as the others zero in on the mysterious person. Riddle's face grows a bright red who dares touch their bartender. With Yuu's connection to the mafia they are too important to not know who they interact with. Riddle issues an order right then and there to bring the person to Heartslaybul he needs to interrogate this person himself to see if they are a threat or not. That is the only reason of course, don't question Riddle otherwise, the housewarden orders with a bright blush on his face.

Lilia is the first to see the video and brings it straight to Malleus with a mischievous grin on his face. Malleus sits in the lounge reading a book as Lilia hangs from the ceiling handing him his phone. Malleus is confused at what Lilia wants to show him until he sees Yuu dancing and smiling. His heart stops has he sees how graceful they dance. He never knew they could do that. It was a nice surprise at first until it starts to sink in. Was this a party, and he wasn't invited? Who was that person dancing with Yuu? They seemed very close, closer then he is too Yuu. Rain starts to pour from outside as the royal fae starts to sulk. His two attendants notice the change as they rush to his side seeing the video. Silver tilts his head wondering why Malleus is so upset at Yuu's dancing until he sees the dance partner he then starts to understand a little. Sebek is furious how dare the bartender not invite his Liege to the dance he will make sure they pay. Lilia pats Malleus on the head telling him he will find out more about what happened so Malleus could feel better. Yuu has certainly got a lot of explaining to do.

Has Yuu makes it back home and goes to bed they feel a bit happier and lighter as they fall asleep without a care in the world to the sound of rain outside their window.

Trey doesn’t waste any time using his magic to block the attack. 

“I thought you’re unique magic was only for food!?” Ace yells. 

“I can use it to override whatever I want,” Trey explains. 

“What? How can you?” Riddle steps back, but soon grows redder by the second. “Are you saying that this whole time you’ve been hiding your power from me?! You can not be stronger them me Trey, nobody can!” Riddle releases another attack to quick for Trey to counter as it sends them flying back. Yuu expects a heavy fall but is wrapped in the arms of Cater, and so is everyone else. “Thanks for the save Caters.” Cater let’s out a smirk as his clones give him a thumbs up. 

“Quick we need to knock Riddle out before his magic completely runs dry!” Trey yells as any available Heartslaybul members rally to his cry. Ace and Deuce compose themselves once again.  

“Oh, I’ve wanted to do that for a long time.” Ace grins. 

“Me too.” Deuce cracks his knuckles. 

Yuu gets into a fighting stance, might as well give it all they got. 

“Ace, Deuce he’s about to attack watch out!” Yuu yells just in time for the two to dodge out of the way. 

“Good call Yuu!” Deuce pants.

“Keep doing that!” Ace launches some wind magic at Riddle managing to stun him. 

Yuu’s eyes dart around searching for any dangers for the others to watch out for. 

“Trey watch from above!” Yuu shouts as rose bushes fall from the sky. 

Trey manages to dodge the attacks as Riddle readies himself for a more powerful strike. This can’t go on for long, Riddle is on a time limit they need to get closer and knock him out. Yuu ventures forward as Cater’s double watches in surprise. 

“We need to get closer!” Yuu yells pushing through the harsh wind that kicks up. 

“Yuu stay back!” Deuce yells. 

Riddle’s eyes turn to Yuu as they advance closer a wicked grin adorens his face. 

“Riddle! You need to calm down! You’ll die if you keep this up!” Yuu pleads. 

“So what?! If all that I’ve suffered meant nothing then what’s the point?” He lets out a laugh black tears streaming down his face. “If I’m not right then what good am I!” He unleashes a large blast of energy causing Yuu to fall to their knees. Hopefully, the others can find an opening with Yuu distracting him. 

“You can't live like that Riddle!” Yuu yells over the thunder and wind. Rain starts to fall as everything gets drenched around them. 

“I have to be! I have to be…” Riddle’s voice dies down as he sways his body going to give out. 

Yuu doesn’t waste a second to catch him as the creature lets out a bellowing roar. 

“Now!” Yuu yells as the boys gather up their magic to cast one final blow. 

Yuu closes their eyes as a white light blinds them and their world goes black. 

“Mama…” 

Yuu’s eyes flutter awake as they look up at a grey sky. The sound of a child crying causes them to turn their head. The child is in a field with everything black, white, and grey. The only color is the child's bright red hair in the center crying into his hands.

“Mama why isn’t it working.” The boy wipes his tears.   

Yuu slowly rises from their spot approaching the child with caution. 

“Hello there.” Yuu gets down on one knee raising their hands to not startle them. “What’s wrong?” 

The child just cries louder making Yuu get closer. 

“It’s going to be okay.” Yuu slowly brings the child into a hug. 

“I don’t know what to do, I did everything Mom said.” The child cries into Yuu’s shoulder.

“I followed all the rules and I studied hard, but the pain isn’t going away!” Small fist bang on Yuu’s chest. “I did everything, and I’m still not right!” Big eyes full of tears look up at Yuu as they can finally see the little ones face. Striking red hair and big eyes all point to this being Riddle. Memories of the battle flash through Yuu’s mind. Is this Riddles mind? Maybe the root of the overblot? Yuu looks back at Riddle taking a deep breath. 

“You must have went through so much trying to follow every rule.” Yuu brushes a a tear with their thumb. “But it’s clear those rules did more harm then good, you shouldn’t live your life by someone else’s rules.” Yuu explains, as little Riddle goes silent. 

“I’m scared, what if I make a mistake.” He sniffles. 

“Well it’s apart of life, but you can always learn and do better.” Yuu ruffles his hair. 

“Riddle!” The voice of Trey echoes throughout the field.

“Wake up dude.” Cater’s voice comes in next.  

“Who’s that?” Riddle tilts his head.

“Your friends.” Yuu smiles. 

“Mommy didn’t let me have friends.” Riddles looks down at the ground. 

“And how did that make you feel?”

“S-sad, and angry they always played with me and even brought me an amazing strawberry tart. Something I wanted more than anything in the world. I wanted to spend more time with them, but Mommy got mad and I never saw them again.”  Riddle rests on Yuu’s shoulder. Yuu rubs his back bringing him into another hug. 

“You still can they are waiting for you to wake up. You can always make things right.” Riddle gives Yuu a nod as he takes a deep breath. As the world around them glows a bright white. 

Yuu feels a rain drop on their cheek as they open their eyes to a cloudy sky. Ace and Deuce hover over them, their bodies full of scratches and bruises. Yuu looks over to the side to see Trey holding Riddle in his arms, the housewarden stirs awake with tears streaming down his face. Yuu takes a deep breath glade its over. Their body aches as they sit up with the help of Deuce and Ace. 

“I’m sorry!” Riddle’s cries break through the atmosphere as the fearsome leader is reduced to a crying child. 

Ace rolls his eyes getting up from Yuu’s side and flicking Riddle in the forehead. Which only makes the leader cry more. 

“Stop your crying, your crocodile tears won’t sway me. It’s going to take a lot more to make up for the bullshit you pulled.” Ace puts his hands on his hips. 

“W-what do I need to do?” Riddle sniffles. 

Ace begins to list off all the things Riddle needs to make up for as his voice starts to drown out in the background. 

“Are you okay Yuu.” Deuce still holds them his voice full of concern. 

Now that Yuu thought about it they did feel tired resting their head on Deuce’s shoulder.

“A-ah Yuu!” He stutters.
