Bee and Puppycat Comics

Watching the premier of Natasha Allegri’s Bee & Puppycat got me excited for creator-driven cartoons all over again… and made me nostalgic for Sailormoon all over again. I’ve got high hopes for this show!

By request, here’s another process GIF of my coloring technique. The brushes are all from my custom set; I mainly used the “Fuzzy” brush for inking & “Blendy Oil” for painting. A useful trick is to paint directly over a texture, gradually layering your colors with transparent washes so the texture peeks through. You can download some awesome watercolor textures here!
