What I will do is apologize. For the way I made you feel. I never, ever meant to make you feel that way.

I will defend myself because nothing was surface level. Not for me. I was committed to you and how you felt, to understanding your side of the story because that's what mattered to me. I checked in even when you never answered me. I came back to make sure you were okay, to remind you that I'm there.

I didn't voice my opinion properly because I was trying to navigate all of this for myself and for my daughter. Every bit of this has been confusing for her, and Drew and I both have been trying to protect her the best we can. There's moving parts to this that I have to be mindful of...and she is the most important part of all.

But you know what? You want my opinion. I'll give it to you - even if you hate me for it afterwards. Nate can hate me just the same if he wants to.

You both exchanged vows. You both promised each other for better or for worse. That no matter how difficult things got, you'd never abandon one another because you made that lifelong commitment. Things got hard. Really goddamn hard. Nate gave up when he shouldn't have. He didn't fight hard enough. He should've done more. I've told him this more times than I can fucking count.

The whole point is....you both got married. For what reason? To let someone else sweep in and steal you away? Because your husband let himself get too deep into his own head? Because he laid down and waved his white flag just because he thought that would make you happy?

That's bullshit.

And there's my opinion. That's how I feel about it.

I'm not going to fight with you because no matter what you think, I love you too much to let things fall out the way they did between the three of us and Pam.

I'm sorry, but that's bullshit.

I was checking in on you. Making sure you were okay. I talked with you this whole time because even when you were far away on the show, I wanted to be there with you.

I never once said I didn't support you two. I never distanced myself. I was here.

I've never believed you to be the villain of anything. Not even when you made choices I didn't agree with. Disagreement doesn't twist into me writing your name down as the villain.

My marriage was brought up. I spoke a suggestion. That's it.

I've stayed out of it, Ashley. So don't pull me into it.
