I Exist to be Bright

I found an article shedding some light on the “struggles” of being an ENTP. While I didn’t relate with every single bullet point on the list, I still found the article really interesting. Here are the top 10 struggles I sympathize with as an ENTP:

1. Although they take their commitments seriously, they tend to abandon relationships that no longer offer opportunity for growth. 2. The ENTP is a natural leader, but sometimes gets hung up on whether they’re controlling people. This is where NJ personalities can help assist in a situation when people are unable to make a decision they need immediately. 3. They often play the devil's advocate. They like to see an issue from all sides, angles, and dimensions. When they express their underlying principles, they may feel awkward and speak abruptly and intensely. 4. Under stress, they may lose their ability to generate possibilities and become obsessed with minor details. These details may seem to be extremely important to them, but in reality are usually not important to the big picture. 5.  They constantly need validation, conquests, and will fish for any compliment it can get. Date an ENTP and you'll need to encourage them every dot, so if you suck at compliments—just leave them alone when it comes to romance. 6. ENTPs may have a hard time moving on in life if they're really stuck to a certain group of people. They can leave. Their Ti will help them move if they need to for a job. But they may go through hefty depression. Or a complete, frightening identity crisis. 7. Those they choose as their ultimate best friends are so deeply loved by them that if anything ever happens to them, like death, they will feel it so strongly and severely that they'll go into the deepest, darkest depression reality has to offer. ENTPs do not like to lose people. They're a protector of people. 8. They love high risks and spending money—which can lead to financial strain. 9. The ENTP excels at intuition, thinking, and feeling. Their sensory can be forgotten leading to huge messes, unawareness of being sick, and lack of maintenance. 10. They are less interested in developing plans of actions or making decisions than they are in generating possibilities and ideas.
