I know ATT owner, Alex Ang for couple of years and previously we joint venture in some events and importing goods.

Shizuoka, the world capital of scale model, it’s the home of many scale model factory e.g Bandai, Tamiya, Fujimi, Aoshima etc. Shizuoka Hobby Show the trade show for scale model, it become a platform for a lot of plastic model company to showcase and announce their new products. The show usually last for 4 days, from Thursday to Sunday, with 2 days only open to trader (Thursday and Friday), and 2 days open to public and scale model clubs to display their completed works (Saturday and Sunday). The modeler club exhibition is on it’s 28th year.

This year the show run from 11-14 May 2017, and was held in the Twin Messe Shizuoka convention hall, about 10 minutes drive from Shizuoka Station. Twin Messe Shizuoka consist of 2 halls, North and South. North hall occupy by scale model manufacturer brand, South hall half occupy by manufacturer and half are occupy by hobby clubs display.

I was there on Sat and Sun, and i spend most of my time at the hobby clubs area, there are thousand of work to be see and more than a hundred clubs join the display.

This is the Team Asean booth. I missed out some entry, so sorry about that. Was overwhelm by the atmosphere that i forgot a lot of things…….

It’s very inspirational event filled with creativity. No competition can ever achieve such big scale of display. Great work from the communities and i looking forward for next year. 🙂
