hey ya’ll, first off- i want to thank you guys for joining- it has meant a lot to us to have people be interested in this place and come on this short journey with us. Unfortunately, the admin team just does not have time and honestly much muse to continue on with this rp at this point. CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF THE MISSING

Hello everyone, the time has come again that we gather by the lighthouse to celebrate the lives of the missing. This year is especially troublesome because we know something else is coming. As always, we encourage people to bring a dish to share and be respectful for the families. 

This year the day we celebrate the lives will be August 31st, we always do it the week before to let the families of the missing grieve in their own way and leave them be. We will be having food and ice cream donated by the local shop. The ice cream and drinks will be provided however, alcohol will be prohibited at this event.

We want to honour the missing and remind the town of the souls that have gone missing, so at night we will light some lanterns and release them in the sky. Thank you and see you there.

beavercovehq is a semi appless rp set in the fictional town of beaver cove, nova scotia. the town has a had trouble figuring out what is going on every 5 years that lures people into the waters and they never come back. is it a government conspiracy ? is it freak coincidences ? guess we’ll have to find out. we accept every night around 7pm est.

nora was born in fairbanks, alaska and moved to beaver cove with her dad after her mother passed away from long-term illness. her dad got a job offer, which is why they had to move. the move was something that nora absolutely hated, because it meant that she had to leave her life and her friends behind as well.

they have been living in beaver cove for the past three years, and now, she doesn’t hate it as much as she thought she would. nora got her own group of friends and has applied for college in beaver cove. she has kind of forgotten about her previous life.

she is working at one of the local diners, as a waitress. she got a job through one of her dad’s friends, and it didn’t take long until she proved that she was hard-working and trustworthy, which was something that they appreciated.

nora is hard-working, intelligent and friendly. she is also stubborn, naive and distant. she’s scared of letting people in, because she doesn’t want having to suddenly leave.

Was your character born and raised here? If so - why haven’t they left town? If not- what brought them to town? 

nora was not born in beaver cove. her father got a job offer after the loss of his wife, and after nora’s mother, passed away.

How does your character feel about the drownings? Do they think it’s accidental thing or a conspiracy? Please explain position. 

nora is pretty scared of the drownings especially as it’s one of her biggest fears to have happen to herself. she feels like there is something more going on, but she’s not a hundred percent sure. she’s pretty sure it’s not accidental, that’s for sure.

What was your character’s childhood like? Are they close with their family? Are they estranged? Do they have siblings? Are they adopted? Do they have a found family? Tell us about who they call family. 

growing up, nora had a good relationship with both of her parents. she was especially close with her mother, so when she passed away, nora struggled with the loss. she does not have any siblings, so she didn’t have anyone to lean on. her dad really stood up for her and let her lean against him. so, after the death, nora and her dad had a close relationship, even when he made them move.

What is the first thing someone notices about your character? 

PENELOPE “POPPY” HURST was born on the THE FOURTH OF MAY in the year 1984. They work as an ACTRESS & DRAMA TEACHER. POPPY’s pronouns are SHE/HER. fc: nathalie kelley { played by kassie, 27, they/them, gmt +2 timezone }

HEADCANONS

Poppy was born and raised in Nova Scotia up until she turned 13, in which her family relocated to Monaco for her father’s business. Her mother was often away on travel due to her modelling career.

As a child, Poppy was quite the dramatic spirit, always breaking out into some form of character when the chance presented itself, part of it was due to negligence from her parents, the other was just that she was constantly watching soap operas with the house staff as they did more parenting than anyone. She also had a nanny.

Her nanny saw the best in her, and even managed to sign her up for acting classes, giving Poppy an outlet and a place to just be herself and connect with kids her age, something she hadn’t done previously despite being at school, something about the private school kids didn’t click with her.

Later in life, Poppy became an actress, mostly starring in small indie-esque productions in Monaco, but eventually making her way into some single episodes in the US. But still, she wasn’t making enough to live the life she wanted without her parents’ help.

She fell into a string of bad relationships, dating men that only cared about having someone attractive on their arm, and in doing so, fell into a superficial crowd. This led to her falling behind in getting acting gigs and becoming just a mess..

But after her most recent engagement fell through in a huge scandal, she turned to her manager who was very close to giving up on her. He offered her one last chance, so long as she did what he said, and that was to move to Nova Scotia as there was a supposed writer working on a movie inspired by the mysterious deaths. It just so happened the town was where she’d grown up before the big move.

They were, up until they turned 13. They left initially because of their father’s job blossoming and relocating him to Monaco, as well as her mother’s, but stayed away due to their career and lifestyle choices. Their reason for returning was quite abrupt, but out of desperation to take back her career and life.

How does your character feel about the drownings? Do they think it’s accidental thing or a conspiracy? Please explain position.

Poppy obviously sees them as tragic, but they haven’t read much into them, aside from getting a feel for the different people around town. What she has yet to realize is that one of the victims was a cousin she spent time with as a child.
