You Would Not Believe Your Eyes // Storm x Beau
Storm nodded and picked up a sandwich filled with ham, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Holding it between his fingers he looked at it sceptically trying to decide if he had created a worthwhile meal for them. After a moment he decided that it was better than nothing and that Beau looked fairly impressed so it couldn’t be that bad.
"Thanks Beau, I mean I try to do nice stuff for you and I don’t know if you get how much you matter to me. You’re possibly one of the most important things in my life right now. I mean really…" Storm looked down at his fingers, trying to hide the blush adorning his cheeks.
He wrapped his fingers through hers and squeezed them gently before biting into the sandwich that he had picked out for himself. In all fairness it wasn’t half bad.
"I just thought it was needed you know." At the mention of Anne and Penny he tensed up and shrugged. "Well these things tend to happen, maybe it is just me Beau. People tend to go missing or die around me. And I know you’re here for me but how long until something bad happens to you too?"
Beau took a swig of her drink, biting back into her sandwich and looking with concern at Storm. It must have been an odd sight, to be honest. One can't look too graceful about eating a sandwich.
"R-really?" she asked, clearing her throat. It was a little hard to hear, considering she never really thought she herself was that important to anyone. She was just Beauregard.
".... I'm... i'm really sorry, Storm. Honestly. I... Nothing's going to happen to me, i promise. I really do. I mean, i know that... it's probably the worst promise i could ever make to you... but i will look after myself. okay?" she said, setting her food down, and placing a hand on Storm's cheek. She smiled at him, tilting her head. He meant so much to her, and to see him in pain, was heartbreaking.
