playing pesterquest for the first time and nobody told me that Kanaya has an incel terf route where she brags about participating in unpersoning her canonically transgender girlfriend ? what the fuck ?
so i wanna start this out by saying Pesterquest is the game that canonises Vriska being trans -- her route is basically dedicated to her transness, so really it should be written with that in mind. that being said, this particular route opens with Vriska complaining that Kanaya hasn't finished making a dress for her and Kanaya being insistent on more details, which feels pretty loaded to me!
after Mspar asks her if they can help with Vriska, Kanaya waxes poetic about how there's no point because Vriska would never date her (it all comes off a bit incel-y to be honest, as if she is entitled to Vriska's romantic affections because she's stuck by her the longest).
then, Kanaya establishes that Vriska basically manipulated her way into a (platonic) relationship with her (because wow, we definitely need stories about trans girls forcing people into relationships with them!!!)
later on, Kanaya opens up to Vriska about her red feelings for her, and Vriska immedaitely agrees to be her matesprit, and Kanaya puts all of her reservations aside to immediately go move in with her (??????)
Mspar skips forwards a few days to see what happens next, and it turns out that at first, Vriska was really nice to Kanaya, but then it quickly became apparent that she only wanted Kanaya as a matesprit so she could boss her around to do things for her (because that's how trans girls treat cis girls, because we're just like men! duh!)
....and that's when Kanaya pivots to saying that she probably only wanted to date Kanaya so she could get back in with all the friends who totally cut her off. she even brings up how she is literally Vriska's only remaining support network, but frames it like that makes Kanaya the victim here somehow:
she even cites somebody from their circle who permanently physically disabled Vriska, who is still universally accepted & beloved by the rest of their friend group, as somebody who rightfully cut Vriska off
Kanaya feels like totally written from the terf playbook here. it's genuinely startling that this ended up in the final game and people didn't see the issues here. like it straight up implies Vriska made Kanaya do housework for her -- an especially shitty stereotype when you consider the fact that actually, trans women are much more likely to be forced into domestic labour as part of their relationship than their partners!
nowhere in pesterquest does it say or specify or canonize kanaya being cis. so you are just making that up to make a false dichotomy between vriska and kanaya to frame this whole personal conflict as an act of transphobic writing and kanaya being a "lesbian incel" when it is literally just a normal pesterquest that talks about events as they happened in homestuck.
you're making up every single point in this to skew it to your own personal biases and pretending like its accurate analysis. like the dress thing.

this just is retelling of events in canon and its "loaded" because we already know what this is about and how it plays out. vriska wears the dress when she kisses tavros and breaks kanayas heart. because kanaya loved her. it has nothing to do with being trans and it isnt an act of hatred or even dislike. its not "unpersoning a trans woman" to not want to hang out with someone (vriska) after they killed a lot of people.
