I M P O S S I B L E

I like seeing women defined by what they do and what they’re passionate about rather than the men that they’re in love with or associated with. That’s always more important to me, as a female.

But before we say another word, you must look into your heart and you must answer me a question. Just one. If you have been touched by the demon, it’s like being touched by the back hand of God. Makes you sacred in a way, doesn’t it? Makes you unique, with a kind of glory. The glory of suffering, even. Now, here’s my question. Do you really want to be normal?

The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant.

We should do this every Christmas. Because every Christmas is last Christmas.

I have no idea, but it’s going to be a very big relief when I think of it.

I’ve failed him in life. I won’t fail him in death. Help me find the others like you. Perhaps they don’t want to be found. They will. And they’ll fight. We have to stand together. A hundred years ago I walked away from mankind; from a century of horrors… Men made a world where standing together is impossible. Men are still good. We fight, we kill, we betray one another, but we can rebuild. We can do better. We will. We have to.

“I think what makes it crazy is that you are putting yourself in a position where you’re being judged constantly by other people. Years of that, you can start to believe, “Is it me? Is there something fundamentally wrong with me? Am I not pretty enough? Am I not skinny enough? Talented enough?” If you don’t have the fortitude to keep your eye on the prize, you can slowly give up on your dreams out here very quickly.”

You are intermittently handed a necklace of labels to hang around your neck. Becoming an actor was a way to stretch these necklaces… to breathe a little easier.

But for everyone, I think, there is always a pressure to conform, and I guess as you get older you realize it’s less interesting to do that. It starts with you, though, saying, ‘I know what I like doing and that’s what I’m going to do.’

But everything begins again too and that’s always happy. Be happy.
