This is part of my Ancient Civilizations class that I teach, which does a whole week about Australia and the Torres Strait Islands because I was sick of never seeing them represented in USAmerican history contexts. brexit is easily the dumbest political and economic decision anyone has made this century. way stupider than the Iran war. trump could pull out of NATO tomorrow and it would be less disastrous than brexit was. complete economic suicide and it's amazing how remain was not just vindicated but things are worse than they said they would be. and there was even more migration after than before!!! they didn't even win on racism. and it was the willing choice of a huge part of the British population, directly from popular democracy. the English are not an intellectual people, to put it mildly!
