I am an adult, I just like stuffed animals a lot. I've collected Beanies since I was a kid. Most of my collection is in storage but I have some ~500?
I buy almost all my Beanies from thrift stores.
π About my blog:
My content is PG! Stuffed animals are for kids, I just like them a lot. That said I don't recommend any kids visit Tumblr. Not everything you encounter on this blog, including usernames, notes, links and more are kid friendly.
I write original posts (I like posting Beanies on their birthdays) but I also have a que full of miscellaneous reblogs and pictures of my collection! I post almost daily.

ποΈ eBay: The only truly accurate way to know the value of a plush, and almost always the cheapest place to buy! (To estimate value, look at "completed" listings-- people like to list Beanies for absurd amounts that don't sell.)
π₯οΈ BBToyStore: This is a great place to reliably find a Beanie's poem, birthday, and photo-- and then to buy a Beanie in good condition! It's a great research resource, and if you shop here, don't forget to add a free trading card or Teenie Beanie to your order! (They have a sister site that buys Beanies and other toys that's good for research as well.)
π§ Beanie Baby Price Guide (BBPG): The most complete catalogue of Beanie information I've found! They have fantastic tidbits on the history of a Beanie and frequently have pictures of the tags, too. Their database often lacks new Beanies.
π Beaniepedia: Similar to BBPG, Beaniepedia has lots of new Beanies that the Price Guide doesn't! Sadly this site doesn't work on my phone-- idk if it's a personal issue or if it's just not mobile friendly
π shop.ty.com: the modern iteration of ty.com is mostly shopping, no more games or anything... but they undoubtedly have the best prices on any Beanies in production. I also visit for the great descriptions, cute graphics, and, most importantly, a birthday calendar!
ποΈ Ty Plush Archive: Detailed information about the oldest Ty plush, plus a handful of other things. Fantastic resource for tags!

With his Ty-dyed blue-green body and almost fluorescent green belly, Hissy is one of the most attractive snakes around. But his early prototypes are equally handsome. Along with a fuchsia and yellow model resembling the Beanie Patti, Ty experimented with several pinker Ty-dye shades, white and blue undersides, and a couple of spotted styles, including a brown leopard-style print. Like the Bongos seen on page 28, these Hissy prototypes can be seen in person at WHSmith's O'Hare Ty-riffic store

This morning I saw a post in the Beanie Baby tag that had bad info... I was like, well I know better, I have a couple of minutes, let me set the record straight
They were not posting this because they wanted to share a fun fact about the history of beanies lmao. They were sharing because they are big fans of the Columbine shooting. Which like, in retrospect, maybe I could have guessed because they used some first names and this IS tumblr after all... but like, cmon man, I wasn't EXPECTING to just stumble across this stuff. You're in MY beanie baby tag lmao.
Anyway I didn't figure this out until I got home from work and checked the notes lmao.
