I am an adult, I just like stuffed animals a lot. I've collected Beanies since I was a kid. Most of my collection is in storage but I have some ~500?
I buy almost all my Beanies from thrift stores.

My content is PG! Stuffed animals are for kids, I just like them a lot. That said I don't recommend any kids visit Tumblr. Not everything you encounter on this blog, including usernames, notes, links and more are kid friendly.
I write original posts (I like posting Beanies on their birthdays) but I also have a que full of miscellaneous reblogs and pictures of my collection! I post almost daily.

🛍️ eBay: The only truly accurate way to know the value of a plush, and almost always the cheapest place to buy! (To estimate value, look at "completed" listings-- people like to list Beanies for absurd amounts that don't sell.)
🖥️ BBToyStore: This is a great place to reliably find a Beanie's poem, birthday, and photo-- and then to buy a Beanie in good condition! It's a great research resource, and if you shop here, don't forget to add a free trading card or Teenie Beanie to your order! (They have a sister site that buys Beanies and other toys that's good for research as well.)
🧭 Beanie Baby Price Guide (BBPG): The most complete catalogue of Beanie information I've found! They have fantastic tidbits on the history of a Beanie and frequently have pictures of the tags, too. Their database often lacks new Beanies.
📕 Beaniepedia: Similar to BBPG, Beaniepedia has lots of new Beanies that the Price Guide doesn't! Sadly this site doesn't work on my phone-- idk if it's a personal issue or if it's just not mobile friendly
💟 shop.ty.com: the modern iteration of ty.com is mostly shopping, no more games or anything... but they undoubtedly have the best prices on any Beanies in production. I also visit for the great descriptions, cute graphics, and, most importantly, a birthday calendar!

This morning I saw a post in the Beanie Baby tag that had bad info... I was like, well I know better, I have a couple of minutes, let me set the record straight
They were not posting this because they wanted to share a fun fact about the history of beanies lmao. They were sharing because they are big fans of the Columbine shooting. Which like, in retrospect, maybe I could have guessed because they used some first names and this IS tumblr after all... but like, cmon man, I wasn't EXPECTING to just stumble across this stuff. You're in MY beanie baby tag lmao.
Anyway I didn't figure this out until I got home from work and checked the notes lmao.

the fact that webkinz named a species "googles" and never backed down from it is really funny to me because like. nintendo changed the dialogue of a throwaway npc in a zelda game once because she said "yahoo!" and they were scared they'd get sued by yahoo but ganz is just like. yeah no we don't care if google is the biggest search engine and owns an obscene amount of sites and properties. thats our funny platypus so.
Esraa @ssave-baby-life is frightened at the prospect of something happening to her baby Qais, who needs specialised treatment, and she has had to contend with this agony every single day as a mother in Gaza. The doctors have said she could lose him in less than 12 hours and hospital administration has warned of expulsion as Esraa has been struggling to cover the medical costs even with fundraising. Donations have completely stopped.
