about daphne.

daphne amelia bergman was born to a pair of doctors in manhattan, new york on september 3rd, 1982. the youngest of three, daphne was always known as the baby, her parents doting on her from the day she was born. though her older sister, catherine, was always pushed to become a doctor like their parents, daphne was the only one who ever showed any interest in the medical world.

daphne attended harvard’s medical school in massachusetts, which is where she met her now ex-husband, a fellow med student. they fell in love and he ended up moving to park slope with her and doing their residencies at the same hospital.

three years later, they married in a small ceremony for close friends and family only. they were very happy for the first few years of marriage before the arguments began. 

still, daphne gave birth to their first daughter in the middle of it all. they named her emma. three years later, they had another daughter named samantha. they are now five and two.

not long after samantha was born, daphne filed for divorce from her husband, citing irreconcilable differences. daphne has primary physical custody.

daphne works as a neurologist at mount sinai in manhattan.
