“i could...try?” she replied, an eyebrow raised. “i don’t know if she’ll remember me..” couple of dates and outings with the woman, for lissa, it was easy to fall in love with people that’s why she remembered her, their essence in a sense, she fell in love with that, but regardless of how she felt and her alone,  she was sure the other remembered her. “do you have a soundcloud? a track she could check out? i don’t know, what do they call it…an EP?” 

" wow, that’s… thank you, honestly. " benjamin couldn’t believe his luck. sinking his teeth into his bottom lip, he hummed and nodded. " i am working on some new stuff right now. i could… i don’t know, i could put it on a CD and get it to ya as soon as possible ? " he said and nodded, hoping that he would be able to put it together quickly so she wouldn’t have to wait for too long. " i don’t think i can begin to explain how thankful i am for you giving me a chance, " he said and smiled, his gaze dropping to the ground in front of him. 

“oh! your music!” she gasped, turning slightly as she rummaged through her purse, looking for her phone. “i know a woman,  who knows a guy, who knows a guy who is a producer..” from the long list of people she slept with, she had to know someone who’d be able to help ben out with his music. “i’ll just give her. call but i mean, if you already know the right people, that’s also cool too.. just let me know and i’ll tell her to reach out to her people’s people.” 

benjamin looked at her as she gasped and started to rummage through her purse. he tilted his head a little to the side as he had no idea what she was doing. a soft laugh fell from his lips as she spoke about how she knew a woman who knew a guy who knows a guy who is a producer. " right, " he said and chuckled softly, not really expecting anything to come from it. he raised his brows and looked at her in shock. " you… you would do that ? holy shit, that would have been… incredible. "

“does it matter, though? i mean, i think you’ll be okay, plus it’s only one stupid assignment. i highly doubt that’ll affect your whole grade in general.” rolling her eyes as ben continued to freak out, “i’m pretty sure you’ll be fine, just chill out. yeah, i mean, i don’t with that fact, but..again, it’s only one grade. calm down.”

“i will not admit or deny that my client did in-fact steal $300 dollars worth of victoria secret merchandise.. therefore i retract my statement from before – from all records – and say someone that looked like my client.. bunch of similarities, could have been a doppelgänger ”  she continued on, a cheeky grin on the girls face, as she brought the carrot she was eating up to her lips,  “i will also say that i do not know why someone would steal $300 dollars worth of victoria secret merchadise buuuuuttt, “ lis continued, taking in a deep breath,  “perhaps, they wanted to be the next winona ryder?” she shrugged, “rare or not… this is what i have to deal with, benji. stay away from all things law. thank you for your time.” 

" riiiiiiiight, " benjamin answered and laughed, looking at her with raised eyebrows and a grin on his lips as she said she wouldn’t admit or deny something her client had done. " i’m sure he didn’t do anything wrong, and that it was just someone who looked like him, " he replied and stuck his tongue out in-between his teeth in a teasing and playful manner. a soft sigh fell from his lips as he leaned backwards. " oh,  trust me, i have no plans of getting into anything law-related, " he said and grinned, tapping his foot against the ground. " besides, i have my hands full on getting my music out to the right people, so i’m dealing with that and it’s more than enough for me. don’t want to add people who steal 300 dollars worth of victoria secret merchandise. you’re a brave woman, liss. "

     “concept,” she said to no one in particular, just to someone who would listen. “i go to court, i actually win a case that does not involve a traffic ticket,” she held a finger up, asking for the other to hear out before they made an interjection, “like, a big one, personal injury, perhaps, yeah?” she nods, “reality: opposing counsel shows me a video of my client clearly stealing $300 dollars worth of merchandise from victoria secret. i, am suddenly on bird box. no, i’m mariah carey when it comes to j-lo,  i can’t seeeeee. i can’t read. i can’t hear. goodbye.”

benjamin raised his left eyebrow at the words that came from the female’s mouth about something that he had absolutely no idea what meant or anything like that. honestly, he felt a little stupid. he parted his lips, slowly, while his brown eyes stayed locked with hers as she continued to speak about how her client had stolen 300 dollar worth of merchandise from victoria secret. " jesus, that’s… wow! why on earth would someone steal 300 dollar worth of merchandise from victoria secret ? " he questioned and looked at her with raised eyebrows before a soft laugh followed. " i actually don’t know what to say, " benjamin replied softly and chuckled softly as he moved his hand to rub against the back of his neck awkwardly. " and let me tell you, that’s extremely rare. "

walking by his side, an earbud was placed in her left ear, but once ben began talking, her attention drove to him. even when the music was still playing. a hand was placed inside the pocket of her jacket as she shrugged. ❝ depends. what’s the excuse? ❞ she questioned, raising an eyebrow at him. ❝ you could always play the i’m sick card. ❞ 

“Thank you. That’s very nice of you to say even if you don’t know me,” she said, giving him a small smile and nodding a bit. She listened attentively to what he had to say, her hand absently going to her mouth for her to chew on her nails, a nervous habit that was hard for her to break. “That’s what the professor I just talked to said. for me to keep writing even if I’m stuck,” she explained.

benjamin shrugged and kept his brown eyes on the female, as she gave him a small smile and a nod of the head. " what can i say, i like to think of myself as a pretty good, you know, people person. i usually know how to read people, " he said and grinned mischiviously. that’s what the professor i just tased to said. for me to keep writing even if i’m stuck. nodding his head, benjamin licked lips absentmindedly. " yeah. i mean, i think that’s a pretty decent advice. even if you feel like what you’re writing is shit, then… keep going. suddenly, you’ll put something down on the paper that you’ll love. "

“And the possibility of free food. You can’t forget that important part. I mean, I’m not one of the rich people around here. You don’t turn down free food when you get the chance,” she joked with a laugh. She drove carefully, humming along to a song that had been stuck in her head for a while. “That’s always a good option. Think that excuse would work to get you out of it?” Gemma questioned, glancing over at him before turning her attention back on the road.

" ahhh! yes, can’t forget about that, " benjamin spoke and laughed, shaking his head in the process. " mmmm, yeah, no i definitely agree with you on that. you never pass on free food. that would be ridiculous of ya, " he said and grinned widely. benjamin looked out of the front window as gemma drove carefully, humming along to a song. benjamin turned his head and looked over at the female who sat in the driver’s seat. " i don’t know… maybe? who knows. maybe i just need to take whatever the consequences are, or try and actually put together something in three days. even though it’s a week long project. "

“Because you’re paying, duh. Why would I kill you when I need you for the food?” she pointed out, laughing as she climbed behind the wheel, tossing her bag next to her in the middle seat. She started up the old thing, hearing the usual rattle of the motor as it started up. She made sure to look for other cars before pulling out and heading out on the road. “Maybe the food will help you as you try to struggle that paper out of you.”

" oh, so you’re using me for my money, huh ? i see how it is, " he said and chuckled softly, while keeping his dark gaze locked with the female’s. benjamin climbed into the vehicle and he watched as she tossed her bag next to them, in the middle seat. the grin on his lips grew and he leaned back against the seat, turning his head around to look at her as she made sure to look for other cars before pulling out and heading out onto the road. maybe the food will help you as you try to struggle that paper out of you. " who knows, maybe. if not, i will eat so much that i get into a food coma and just sleep until wednesday. "

She looked up a bit, giving him a slight smile and nodding. “Yeah, I hope so too,” she said before looking away again. She didn’t have the same confidence in herself. The only thing her mother had ever encouraged her or told her she was good at was gymnastics, so trying something else and failing so much was hard for her. “I don’t know. Whatever I come up with, I guess. I have lots of ideas. It’s just actually getting them out there that’s hard.”

" i have a feeling it will sort itself out, " benjamin said, smiling softly towards the female who stood in front of him. i don’t know. whatever i come up with, i guess. i have lots of ideas. it’s just actually getting them out there that’s hard. " yeah, no i can definitely relate to that. i’ve been there. i write lyrics and sometimes i just have a bunch of ideas, but for some reason, i can’t put them down on paper sometimes. so yeah, i definitely can relate to that. i think you need to keep going though. i mean, you need to continue to writing. suddenly, something might pop up on the piece of paper and it could get you out there, " he said and nodded.

she gave him a tight squeeze, before pumping her hip playfully against his. “of course it’s not a bad idea, i came up with it!” she replied with a laugh, flicking her hair over her shoulder in an over exaggerated manner. hearing his last statement. she grasped at her chest, gave a loud gasp and a feigned look of shock. “what, me?” she asked, narrowing her eyes. “i’ll have you know miller, that i am a model student who always hands her work in on time.” she lied, a grin spreading across her face. 

chuckling softly, the young male tilted his head a little to the side and continued to stare at vivianne who bumped her hip playfully against his. benjamin rolled his eyes and laughed at the comment about it not being a bad idea as it had come from her. " jesus, why am i not surprised that you would think that way ? " he asked and grinned, while keeping his dark-brown eyes locked with hers. what, me? he shrugged and the grin on his lips widened as he saw her narrow her eyes at him at the comment he had expressed. i’ll have you know miller, that i am a model student… " if you’re one thing, it’s definitely not a model student, miss. redknapp, " he spoke and stuck his tongue out at her teasingly. a soft groan fell from his lips and he shook his head as his gaze fell to stare at the ground instead. " do you wanna just, i don’t know, go somewhere ? get day drunk ? "
