Sunday night will be a roar at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard.  I’ll be starting the evening off at 8pm, Lowlands will keep up the beat, and Jamila Silvera will bring the bang with her EP release.

A Word about Jamila—this lady has that groove and energy in her voice that makes the bumps rise on your arms and the skin on the back of your neck tingle.  It’s rare to find a live performance that moves the spirit, but when I hear Jamila live, I feel that vibe.  I’m greatly anticipating where she will go with her music, and since this rare bird is from the Atlantic coast, you better catch this opportunity to hear her live before she flies home.  Plus, she’s got the talented gentlemen of Seattle band Garage Voice backing her up.
