These are all the thoughts that ran through my head too, ugh. I nearly threw my computer across the room when I saw that video, but my poor laptop wasn’t the one at fault here…*smh*

because seriously it has been bugging me forever. 

how exactly can kids not openly celebrate christmas?

i get that christmas has become overrun by corporations shoving sales and shit down our throats but that doesn't mean there isn't a manger in every store. that doesn't mean that i can't go anywhere without seeing "Jesus is the reason for the season". 

and no sir, faith did not make america strong. it says right in the fucking bill of rights, a separation of church and state. not that anyone reads it or pays attention it it. every five minutes there is another politician telling me how his or her beliefs will save this country. well excuse me, i don't really care about what you believe in i care more about what you are going to do to fix the debt we are in. 

the first amendment gives me the freedom of religion. 

which means that i have the right as an american citizen to not only disagree with your religious beliefs but also not have any of my own and not be attacked for it. 

i don't go around telling your children that there is no god. i don't go around telling them that on the 25th of december jesus wasn't born. i am in no way repressing your child's right to believe in god or jesus, just like i am not telling them that santa claus isn't real. 

let them believe. i don't care. it doesn't affect me. 

what effects me though is you, you getting up and telling me that this is a christian country. you are wrong.
