Because Viola — Viola, who forgot — was so consumed by rage, by that desperate ache for vengeance, that there was nothing she could do but be devoured by it, and lose everything else. Dani, however. Dani was not taken against her will; she chose to make that sacrifice, and she did it for all things, and for love. And love, unlike rage, is not an emotion which makes your mind forget everything else. Love simply heightens things. Makes you realise just how perfectly splendid every day really is, at the heart of things. Jamie said it herself — the lady in the lake was Dani, and Dani was different.

the best thing about jamie and dani becoming a couple is because it was so unexpected. It wasn’t over promoted and pushed as the only thing about the show, it wasn’t used to queerbait and not end up happening it actually happened. It showed a healthy growing relationship between two women that was simply a part of the show. It happened so normally and so naturally like any relationship would and i think that that’s what made it such amazing representation and so heartbreaking at the end.
