there’s very little point to my life 

High school sweethearts, Nicholas Kunselman and Stephanie Hart-Grizzell, were students at Columbine High School on the 20th April, 1999, when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold perpetrated the Columbine Massacre. While the duo survived the school shooting, they would be murdered less than a year later.

It was approximately 10PM on the 13th of February, 2000, when Stephanie left her home for the Subway shop just a mile away from Columbine High School. Nicholas was closing up the shop that night and Stephanie went to meet him. Nearly three hours later, an off-duty employee driving past the shop noticed that the lights were still on and went in to investigate. As she approached the shop, a young man walked out that she didn’t recognise. She found 16-year-old Stephanie and 15-year-old Nicholas shot to death.

An investigation uncovered that no money was missing from the till meaning it wasn’t a robbery gone wrong. The girl who discovered the bodies described the man she saw to a composite sketch artist. She described him as being white and around 16 to 20-years-old. She said he was 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches and weighed somewhere between 150 and 170 pounds. He was clean shaven with blondish hair and was wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes, a black baseball cap and a black coat with a red shirt.

Nikolas Cruz continues to obsess over his planned massacre. Two days before his shooting he spends his time researching past school shootings, watching violent content online, and looking into purchasing a pistol grip shotgun after watching ‘Zero Hour’.

This question was likely sparked by getting ideas on what types of guns to use during a shooting from the Columbine videos he had been watching.

BREAKING, 07/05/2019: Active shooter at STEM Highlands Ranch School in Douglas County, Colorado.

-Two people arrested.

-Possibility of a third suspect.

-At least two students have been shot and injured.

-School remains on lockdown.

-Many other area schools on lockout.

-Police press conference to be held soon.

-At least seven people injured.

-Police are no longer searching for a third suspect.

-Both of the people arrested are juveniles.

-Littleton Adventist Hospital is treating five patients from the school for gunshot wounds.

-Four are in a serious condition, while one is in fair condition.

-Number of wounded people increased to eight.

-The following edit (in bold) was made to the school’s Wikipedia page last month before being removed:

-School completely secured.

-Several students in critical condition and being operated on right now.

-At least one handgun was used.

-It appears there were two shooters, and both were students at the school.

-Both resisted arrest.

-Now stated that one suspect is an adult (18), and another is a juvenile.

-A suspect vehicle remains in the car park of the school.

-Police are acquiring a warrant to search the vehicle.

-The shootings took place in the high school portion of the school.

-All of those shot are students aged 15 and upwards.

-No school resource officer was assigned to the school.

-Police arrived on campus two minutes after the first 911 call was placed.

-The suspects were not known to the police.

-Three of the injured have now been discharged from hospital.

“January 16, 2017 Dear —– I received your letter. I don’t know if it will help you to receive this letter or not but the first thing I want to say is that I am sorry for the pain you are feeling.

 I know this time in your life can be very difficult. However, I want to promise you that things will get better. Do not give up. Do not give in. Please know that your life will get better, You just have to hang in there during some dark periods.

 And please trust me on the next point, If you are hearing things in your head that is saying awful things you need to ask an adult for help. You need to tell a school counselor or professional.

 I know this might not seem like what you want to do, but trust me, there is help out there, and my biggest regret is that I never asked for it when I was a kid.

Find someone, an adult you can trust, and ask for help.

 The pain you are feeling doesn’t have to be there.

 Listen, normally when a 16-year-old writes me I don’t write back. However, in your case I am worried and I hope you take what I say seriously.

 You are a good person and you are doing the right thing reaching out for help. Please talk to people, adults, you think you can trust. They can help you far better than I can.

Life can, and will, get better. Please just hang in there. Please trust me that things will get better if you just hold on.
