This is my lonely corner in my lonely world.

I got so used to being in love with you that I ignored the pain; the sleepless nights and the soundless cries in the middle of the night. I poured all of me into you and gave my emptiness the name of love. I kept sacrificing my own happiness for the sake of yours, never asking for anything in return for I was taught that love only gives, but when I no longer had anything to offer, you no longer had a reason to stay. To me, you were the answer to all my unanswered prayers but to you, I was nothing but temporary healing. You put yourself together with the pieces of me and became completely unaware, almost deaf to the sound of my heart breaking.
