But soon enough you will realize that your heart and soul are going to put up a bit of a fight at being overruled by logic and reason; and likewise, your head is not going to appreciate all of the non-rational input being offered along the way. It may feel like two people lurk inside you now, each waiting to jump out - one moment you will be chasing your dreams and leaping off cliffs, and the next you will wonder what on earth you were thinking by being so reckless. By mid week, no sooner than you finally feel like you are getting yourself under control and things are making lovely, organized sense once more, your intellect gets involved in this game of you versus you, and you suddenly really, truly get what the phrase “being of two minds” can mean. Don’t worry. As frustrating as it all might be, it is serving a brilliant purpose: You are going to understand both sides of the story, both sides of the coin, both sides of the argument. Your convictions give way to empathy. Your me gives way to other. Your scale finally balances out into real stability, and your heart and head, body and soul, fall into the harmony you’ve craved. Turns out all this discord isn’t a test. It’s a tool. More than that, you know the power of following through on the things you’ve been letting go of for a while now. Like the closet you mostly cleaned out but then left the shelves for later, your life is mostly cleaned up, but you’ve had a few cluttered bits pushed aside - not forgotten, just put off due to the normal human day-to-day. But at last you find you’ve got your broom in hand and the boxes ready to go. You have cleared your schedule, and you are going to finish the job. Because now that you are beginning to see the payoff for getting real about letting go of what isn’t right for you, you are noticing not dread but a twinge of excitement about the last remnants and tangles being gone for good. The key to doing it well is going to be simply not getting distracted by fresh projects. Don’t worry about the new revelations that have cropped up along the way. Just take care of the leftovers scattered all around from the massive change-and-release you have already done. You did remarkable work on a very big project - yourself - and you deserve the full satisfaction that comes from getting not just the remodeling finally finished but getting the dust and paint cans out of the house too. Think of how good kicking back is going to feel when all the loose ends are tied up and even the string is neatly put away. So pull back your hair and then get to it.
