Coloring and shading isn't my strong suit yet, but trying to shade using a mix of both hard black and colored shadows provided a pleasant results. I will mess around with it more.

Ladybug Study

I chose ladybugs because they are one of the easiest insects to begin with.
Concluding the Drawabox construction lessons on plants. Peace lily, Venus flytrap and cactus.
Detailing is still lacking, but these exercises did help get a further grasp on volume.

I was extremely doubtful of the result once i reached the flat colors stage but i was told to believe in the process and stuck through it.
Shadows and highlights do make a huge difference, even at my beginner level.

In parallel i started working on animal portraits. Reproducing fictional characters can only get you so far so i still had to start drawing from real life.
