He was fully aware souls had different qualities. Though, the barian god was able to corrupt them which he doubted was something the overlord couldn't. At least it sounded like he couldn't. "And you put your souls to work?"

So this guy also manipulated people to get the desired outcome just like he did. "Indeed. Humans are natural producers of chaos but they are weak so they get easily consumed by it."
The barian god indeed had no idea how contracts with demonic Overlords worked. It was indeed shocking if someone powerful enough to be called and "overlord" could be bound like that by a human. "Was it at least worth it?"
"Collecting a soul is always worth it~ Souls have different qualities, different attributes. I will pick which ones I find worthy of my time, and I will play nice to get my hands on what I am after. But once your soul is signed to me, I own it. And I can do exactly what I please with it~"

An overwhelming sensation took over his mind, heart and body. Vector nodded and bowed to Don Thousand. His tone shifting from the usual warmth to something much colder. Numb. Yet just enough emotion in his voice, just enough energy, to show that the amber haired being was very much alive.
"Ah. That's right. I... belong... To... You."
It was the barian god's power that took over the other's mind, heart and body. He was always able to do that with those he shared his power. "That's right. You obey me."
"Yes, but you could have still threaten him to get things done faster, right?"
"That is not quite how a contract with a demonic Overlord works, I fear. Goodness, things would have run much smoother if that was the case. But even we, demons, have rules. Shocking, I know~"

While Don Thousand and North had been battling? Vector managed to locate a purple chaos emerald. It wasn’t very big like some of the others, but it was one nonetheless. Vector brought it over to the god. Holding the gem up to him. “I found an emerald. I hacked into the more secure parts of the Agency, to get the location of one in another world.” ~ ferox-imperator
The fight had been tough. The barian god managed to survive but he had failed to get the emerald from North. He was exauhsted so a new Chaos Emerald was what he needed. "Good work."
Did you hear? Seems like that wound you gave Eliphas has re-opened. Guess you’ve created a weak point.
"The weak point was always there. Eliphas can't handle too much chaos."

It looked like the other was about to attack. He had to act quickly. He stretched out tentacles and wrapped them around him.
"...you really think that works on me?" The light pulsate from him, the light beginning to surround both of them, green energy pouring out as he feels evrrything...the power of time, beginning to surround it all...
"....I will not let you harm anyone i love anymore..." he speaks, the power pulsatingfrom him cutting into the tentacles.
He had never seen anything like this before. He could feel the power. He tightened his grip. "Anymore? Are you talking about Yuuma?" He started absorbing the power. He needed to get his hands(or tentacles) to that Chaos Emerald.
The power begins to completely overwrite him, as if it refused to be absorbed....overwrite his very core. "...Yuma...Vector...mum..all of them. Because if there's one thing I refuse to let you have.."
The pulsating rises, his Aura surrounded by a clock of infinity. "...it's power."
This wasn't working. He couldn't take this power. He withdrew the tentacles. He had to find an another way. He shot an energy wave at him. "Vector belongs to me."
North opens a hand. As difficult as some of this is, He's gotten used to fighting. As soon as the hand opens, a vacuum opens, the wave being absorbed through the vacuum before appearing behind Don Thousand, the power amped by time.
"He doesn't belong to you. None of them ever did. You used them for your own selfish needs..." His eye glows a dark blue. "...now I'm setting them free."
His eyes widened when his attack just disappeared. And when it came back it hurt and caused him to fall. He got up and grabbed the other with his hand and glared. "Vector can go when he fullfills his mission but right now you are in the way."
"...you are done demanding things...." He grabs him by the wrist as the hand goes to grab at him, moving to push him back before his own hand extends out, energy charging into his palm.
"...begone. the curtain falls." The green energy surrounds him, the beam ready to slam through. "....Timestream Removal.'
He was actually impressed how powerful the other was. But he didn't like the sound or the look of that attack. He grabbed the other hand with tentacles and started pulling, trying to rip his opponent apart.
"...the wrong move." The timestream itself seems to come alive to protect him, ripping towards the tentacles as they begin to surround Don Thousand, time itself flowing through as his eye glows.
"The wrong move is to act in retaliation." He raises a hand as time begins to form around Don Thousand.
This was bad. Not even raw, physical power seemed to work. He couldn't win like this . He let him go and changed to his demonic form and tried to strike him with his claws.

Vector gripped his arms. Feeling an ice-cold chill move through his body. Deep breaths. Stay calm.
He'll be okay. It's fine. He's... Okay...
"I w-won't. Promise."
"He is. Even had the wicked gods in his possession at one point. From my understanding. Although I think those three are elsewhere now. North is a talented duelist either way. He is also... Close with... Yuma as well as me."
"Good. I'll take care of him and you can take care of the rest." If he was confident in one thing, even without his full power, it was his deck.

"As smoothly as it can. Well... There is still one thing. A roadblock you could say."
Vector wouldn't be able to collect nearly as many Chaos Emeralds with North in their way. Try as he may to resist, Vector couldn't help but bend to the God's will. His tone shifting to a much darker one.
"What... Should I do with... Him?"
"Yes, him." He would have to take care of North somehow but a "god killer" should not be underestimated. However, he could probably beat him in a duel. "Is he a duelist?"
