“I – I’m just sayin’… this place reeks of death.” Connor curled in on himself, arms curling around his knees in a quasi fetal position. He glanced up at her second comment, glancing around the cold, dark room, straining to hear any kind of sound. “I don’t – I don’t hear anything…” he whispered, “Is that bad?”
“GOD, I’m gonna be sick.” Leaning forward, Barbara focused on taking deep breaths through her mouth, trying to forget about the smell that surrounded them. “I don’t... I don’t know. It could be a good thing?? Maybe they got what they wanted and decided to stop. Or... do you think they would actually kill people??”
