when you sit on the couch, pope often finds himself at your feet, cheek pressed to your knee while you read or watch a show. too many bad people hang around the cody house. people he doesn't trust. you need someone big and strong at your feet guarding you, he reasons.
when anyone tries to touch you he physically puts himself between you two. how could anyone think they were good enough to touch you? no. you were his and his alone. he didn't need anyone else grabbing at you.
you haven't even started dating yet and he is territorial over you.
when you crash at the cody house after hanging out too late, he sits by your sleeping body on the couch, staring at you for hours. you're just so defenseless when you sleep. he couldn't leave you so vulnerable. he doesn't even hide it from you. when you wake, you find him staring straight-backed and silent. you reach out and pet his hair, still sleepy murmuring a "good morning, popey."
when you shower he waits outside the door. just the knowledge that you're in there, naked and warm and in need of his protection, it has his cock stiff and leaking in his pants. he whines and resits the urge to touch himself, even when it hurts not to touch it, because he just wants to focus on keeping you safe :(
and best believe he will attack anyone who he feels threatens you.
the guy who makes a comment about your ass in deran's bar? pope has him on the ground, blood gushing from his nose before you can even react. he can't seem to stop himself either. it takes four people just to drag him off of the man.
he marks you with his own scent too. he asks you if you want to use his shower, knowing you'll use his soaps and smell like him. he comes to give you a hug after he puts on his cologne, guiding you to nuzzle in his neck so your hair has his scent. <3
he doesn’t say it out loud, but the first and only time you ever said it, you felt the shift in him. it was as if a blackhole had opened up in him, and he got this far away look in his eyes.
it confused you for a moment, until it occurred to you that smurf calls everyone baby.
you should have realized it before, honestly. you could still remember the uncomfortable way your insides twisted up the first time you heard that word coming from smurf’s mouth, the ugly way she drew it out while leaning towards her sons.
after that, you decide to never call pope that again. instead you find yourself thinking up new names for him, ones hopefully untainted by his mother.
you already know he likes to be called andy. it makes him smile ever so faintly when you say it. he tries to hide his smiles, something you’re trying to make him stop doing, but you can pick up on his subtle tells. a tiny little “good morning, andy” will make his mouth twitch up ever so briefly, his eyes squint just a touch.
when you call him handsome it is when you’re getting ready for a date. he’s put on a new shirt, it’s lavender, and as you watch him do the buttons up you can’t help but go up to him and finish them for him.
“look at you, my handsome boy” you say in a low teasing voice, and he actually blushes. his cute cheeks blossom into a pretty shade of pink, his gaze avoiding yours. it makes him mumble some nonsense about that not being true. you just shush him and promise that after dinner, you will show him exactly how handsome he is.
you call him several variations of “pretty,” as many as you can think of. pretty boy, pretty angel, sometimes just pretty. it has a similar effect as handsome, but amplified. it’s as if the words make him try to crawl out of his own skin. he squirms and tries to hide his face from you. it makes you grin and try to uncover his hands from his face, telling him every pretty thing about him.
“i mean it, pope” you say, grabbing his cheeks, feeling how warm they get, “you have pretty eyes. a pretty nose. pretty freckles on those pretty cheeks and shoulders…” you trail kisses down each feature as you go until you have him undressed and whimpering for you, “you have a pretty cock,” you tease before wrapping your lips around the tip, bringing soft whimpers from him.
you think though, he might like the most tender names the most though. on the bad nights, and he has so many of those, you call him things like “my love” or “my andrew.” you kiss away his tears and murmur “it’s okay, my sweet boy.” you feel how he shudders with each name, how he chokes on sobs and presses closer to you for you to press kisses to his hairline, letting him hide in your chest until he finally settles down again.

the way he just lays his head down in your neck, his cheek squished against shoulder.
sometimes, he doesn't even think to wrap his arms around you. he just walks over and lays his head against you, blinking his big brown eyes at nothing.
it endears you so much. when he does it you are instantly wrapping your arms around him, snuggling him closer and murmuring little things like "awww puppy," or "my sweet andrew" which makes him melt further into you.
pope can't help the strange way he hugs, but it only makes you love him even more.
he didn't get many hugs growing up or as an adult, not real ones anyways, unattached to some manipulation tactic. so when he finds out he can just get affection from you freely? that he can just come up and get a hug any time he needs one? he can't seem to stop himself.
he needs hugs so often. he always gets one in the morning, waiting for you to wake up to give him one. then he gets one before bed too. and yeah, you hold each other at night, but that isn't a hug. he needs his weird squished into your shoulder hug where he can just stare and get your arms squeezing him tight.
before jobs he always needs an extra long one. he'll first give you your hug, which of course he considers different from his own hug. he'll take a moment alone with you, hold you to his chest, kiss your hair, stroke your back as he closes his eyes and memorizes your scent. he'll whisper how he'll be back real soon, ask you to do some nice things like lay in the sun and read or take naps in his clothes until he gets back.
once you're soothed is when he drops his head to your shoulder, cheek squished against you, shivering when your arms wrap around him. you'll squeeze him tight and rub his back, play with his pretty curls. and for the first time in his life he goes into jobs really believing he has something to come home to.

Andrew knows it's weird.
He knows that.
But as long as you don't know he's doing it, what does it hurt?
It's not like he's doing anything weird. He's just…watching you. It almost feels like fate, the way your apartment is positioned directly across from his. There's the courtyard and a pool lying between you, but the windows of his apartment mirror yours so perfectly.
And…you don't have blinds.
No curtains, no shades. There's not even a half-effort of an old sheet hung up over the glass pane. And at night? When he can't sleep, and the moths circle the flickering porch lights, and you've got those blue or red or purple LED lights on…well.
Pope can see right into your apartment.
Can see you, watching TV on the couch or cooking boxed macaroni in nothing but a loose tank top and a pair of lace underwear.
He thinks you might be the only good thing about the apartment that Smurf forced him into only three days after he was released from prison.
It's been a long time since he's looked at a woman, you know. Longer since he's seen one as pretty as you.
He's not lacking self awareness or anything. Pope knows your open windows and ever changing LEDs aren't an invitation to stare, but…sometimes it feels like one.
You fall asleep on the couch most nights. Which is good for him, because Pope can't see into your bedroom.
Some things, he begins to realize, are a sort of chaotic routine.
You tend to fall asleep with your phone in your hand and scramble to find it each morning (it's always under the couch, beneath the hot pink throw pillow you kick off in your sleep).
You don't eat breakfast because you don't wake up early enough to (don't you know it's the most important meal of the day?). Most mornings, you wake up with just enough time to doll yourself up in the bathroom, prioritizing glittery eyeshadow and shimmering lip gloss rather than the sustenance of a bowl of cereal.
He doesn't know what you do for work, but it's something with an inconsistent schedule. You sleep until noon on your days off, which could be any day of the week, Pope learns.
Work doesn't stop you from going out, though. Saturday nights are reserved for those miniskirts and stiletto heels and all your giggling girlfriends who get ready on your living room floor with a hand mirror. You share perfume and makeup and clothes with them before you all climb into a shared uber.
A few times, Andrew finds himself tempted to follow you. He tells himself it's not like he'd be doing it for his own satisfaction. He'd just be doing it to keep an eye on you, that's all. You're a young girl (too young for someone his age). Don't you know there are predators out there?
But he never does. Because that would be weird, right? You don't even know him. But…he certainly starts to feel like he knows you.
You and your friends always stumble back to your apartment, sometimes falling up the concrete steps to the second floor. One of them will make pizza rolls or messy peanut butter sandwiches and you'll pass around cold bottles of water and spill electrolyte drink mixes on the kitchen counter.
You'll share your things with them even after the club, selfless girl. Passing out hair ties and makeup removing wipes and big t-shirts for them to sleep in. On one particular night, when most of them are passed out on the couch, legs and arms tangled together, Pope even watches you you share a kiss with one of them under pink LEDs.
That night, Andrew has to force his attention away. It feels way too close to the beginning of that porno Craig left open on the family computer years ago.
But this doesn't feel erotic. Watching your mouth move against someone else's doesn't elicit any warmth beneath the fabric of his jeans.
No, it makes Andrew...upset. Angry, even.
It makes him jealous.
He tries not to think about it again. Tries even harder (and fails, repeatedly) to give you some privacy on Saturday nights.
But Sundays…Sundays are sacred.
Both for you and for him.
So much so that he pulls out on a job when his brothers plan it for a Sunday. Tells them he has to check in with his parole officer that day. Lies to their faces, because he doesn't want to miss out on you.
Because every Sunday, without fail, Andrew gets to see you naked.
You start by cleaning your apartment. Wiping down the counters and vacuuming the carpet and dusting the top of the cabinets. Then you light the candle on the coffee table (pink champagne, he's pretty sure, after looking endlessly online to match up the glass container. Twenty six dollars. Four day shipping. Currently sitting unlit on his nightstand).
And when you're ready, you strip off all your clothes and discard them in the bathroom.
You put oil in your hair and nineties R&B on your bluetooth speaker. You paint your toes (usually white or black, occasionally an electric blue) and glue artificial nails with sparkling gems onto your fingers.
Sunday showers are the longest, Pope knows. Sometimes thirty minutes. And when you emerge from the bathroom, steam rolls out from the open door and you've got your hair wrapped up in a towel. You balance yourself with a foot on the edge of the couch and massage lotion into your skin first.
From top to bottom, moisturizing your entire body. And then you repeat the motion with an oil, and it's during this particular step that Andrew starts feeling a little lightheaded.
He'd bet you feel all smooth and soft and smell so fucking good. Maybe like vanilla or cherry or coconut. And, god. He wants to touch you. He wants to touch himself.
But he resists.
The first three times, anyway.
By the fourth Sunday, though…well. His cock gets so fucking hard in his jeans that it's leaking. Making a big fucking mess in his boxers. It hurts, you know?
And it's not like you'll know he's doing it. He's had a little over a month to perfect his setup—lights off, chair angled perfectly so if anyone glanced into his apartment they'd have to really look in order to see him.
So, he takes his cock in his hand and imagines it's your delicate fingers wrapped around him instead. Imagines it's his hands rubbing oil into your shoulders, over the swell of your breasts, pressing into your hips, squeezing at the supple flesh of your thighs.
He'd make sure to do it just how you like. And Pope wouldn't need to be told how to, either. Because he's spent so much time watching you now that he would just know.
He wonders if your head would fall back, wet hair clinging to your slick skin. He wonders if he pressed just right into that tender spot at the small of your back that you're always so gentle with if you'd moan or whine or whimper. Maybe even say his name.
Andrew cums at the thought alone, grunting low, lips parted, his release spilling over his hand and down the hard length of his cock.
The shame doesn't take hold of him for a while.
Not until later that night, when your hair is blow dried and you're dressed in a pretty silk pajama set. You've got some trashy reality show on the TV, and you're eating the pizza you had delivered right out of the box.
Andrew takes the moment to clean himself up. To change out of his clothes and into something more comfortable. He brushes his teeth and climbs in bed, but lays with his head propped up by an extra pillow so he can still see clearly out of his window.
He knows it's weird. He knows he shouldn't be staring at a naked girl who's probably half his age and doesn't know there's some fucking creep across the courtyard who watches her every fucking day. He knows he shouldn't be fucking his fist watching you put lotion on your skin. He knows he shouldn't be changing his plans with family or friends around your schedule, just so he can watch you a little longer.
He knows he should stop.
The problem, however, lies in the wanting.
Andrew's never had much. Not when it comes to women. But you…god. You're so beautiful, and so pure and so different from anything he's ever seen. You don't belong to anyone but yourself, and once he sees you, he finds it impossible to look away.
Things change late one Friday night.
Andrew gets sloppy. He gets comfortable, here in this routine he's created around you.
There's music coming from your apartment, some electronic pop ballad that's at a volume so loud he can hear it from across the courtyard (there will be complaints to the office manager tomorrow morning, he knows. But you don't have to worry. Pope will take care of it for you, baby. He'll make sure you can keep having your fun).
You're wearing just a lacy bra and a pair of linen sleep shorts. There's a seltzer in your hand, and you're singing and dancing like you've somehow summoned all the energy from the club right there in your apartment.
It's a beautiful sight, truly. You're so happy and carefree. The warmest ray of sunshine that he wants to find himself basking under.
Andrew gets comfortable, posture relaxing in the chair that now lives permanently in front of his window. He watches you dance around your apartment, the easy smile on your face reflected back on his own.
He thinks he could really take care of you. Keep you safe. Protect all that girlish whimsy that lives in your heart. He'd make you real happy, Andrew thinks. Would watch you dance with your friends at the club, leaning against the bar. He'd take you shopping and add more of those short dresses into your closet. He'd make you breakfast in the mornings before work and Christ—he'd buy you a set of fucking curtains.
Pope is so lost in the fantasy of it that he doesn't register in time that your dancing has slowed. And you've put your seltzer down on the coffee table.
And you're staring right back at him.
His heart kicks up, pounding against his chest. He knows he should move out of sight, shut his blinds, pass this off as a mistake, maybe even pretend he hadn't seen you.
But he doesn't do any of that.
He's frozen in time, terrified and exhilarated all at once by simply being perceived by you.
Pope just…stares.
It seems to be the only fucking thing he's capable of these days.
He expects you to flip him off or maybe come barreling out of the door and across the courtyard to confront him. Or maybe you'll scurry away into your room. Maybe you'll order a set of curtains online.
But you don't do any of that.
You just stare right back.
Andrew tilts his head curiously. It's an involuntary movement.
In the end, you're the first to look away. You pick up your seltzer, dump it down the drain in the kitchen, and then disappear into the bathroom to brush your teeth.
Your routine remains the exact same. You find your phone beneath the throw blanket on the couch and turn off the TV. You turn the kitchen light off and turn on the light above the stove instead. You grab a water bottle from the fridge, and then go to bed in your room.
It's not rushed, and you don't seem nervous or fearful that there's someone watching you.
And Andrew thinks to himself, see. This is why you need him. This is why you need someone looking out for you. Don't you know how dangerous he could be?
He would never hurt you, Andrew knows. But you don't know that.
He doesn't sleep that night. He doesn't sleep often as it is, but his mind is running too fast. Cataloguing all the potential scenarios in which you cut off all access he has to you, severing the comfort he finds in his new favorite, voyeuristic hobby.
And Andrew wouldn't—couldn't—blame you for it. He thinks that's what you should do.
You don't.
The following morning, your routine changes.
On the nights you fall asleep in your bed, you're usually dressed in a pair of jeans with gems decorating the pockets and a low-cut top by the time you emerge from your room.
But not this time.
No, this time you're still wearing the same clothes you'd fallen asleep in. A lacy bra and cotton shorts.
Andrew watches, freshly emerged from the quickest shower of his life, hair still wet, as you stand in front of the fridge to find the fizzy energy drink you'd brought home with you last night.
He watches you struggle for a moment to crack the seal open (Those pretty nails of yours. He could help you with that, you know). You take a slow sip, put the aluminum can down on the counter, and turn your head just enough to let Pope know you see him.
You know he's there, in the window. You know he's watching.
And then, painfully slow, you drag your shorts down your thighs. The fabric pools at your feet, and Pope loses all train of thought.
Because this is no accident. You want this. You want him to watch you.
Your bra is next. You reach around to unclasp it and soon after the lace joins the linen fabric on the linoleum floor.
Warmth blooms beneath his skin as he watches you press your hands to your abdomen, feeling your skin, running your hands up your chest and over the swell of your breasts.
You try and play it off like a stretch, lifting your arms above your head and arching your back.
Andrew knows it's not.
You get ready the rest of the morning like normal. And Andrew…God. He doesn't know what to think.
He knows he should stop this before it goes too far. He thinks it already has.
It's…it's weird, right?
Everything about it is wrong.
He doesn't want to stop, but he knows he should.
He tries, though. For what little it's worth.
Tries to busy himself building a fountain at Smurf's. Tries to find small jobs he can do himself to pass the time. He still thinks about you all hours of the day, though. Like a thorn stuck beneath his skin, aching when he moves just the wrong way.
He overhears Nicky explaining to Deran what an 'everything shower' is and thinks about your Sunday ritual. He walks into a hungover Craig making boxed macaroni in his boxers and thinks of you. Smurf lights a candle called pink cashmere and even though it's not pink champagne, it still makes him think of you.
The pretty little girl in the apartment across from his, who he finds himself certifiably, insanely, obsessed with.
One Thursday afternoon, Andrew returns home earlier than he'd planned. He tells himself he just wants to get a little glance.
Just one look. You know, to soothe the ache the thought of you brings. To see if maybe he imagined the weight of your stare.
What he finds, though, is somehow more concerning.
You're pacing your living room, cell phone pressed to your ear, still wearing jeans and your sneakers. There's tension in your shoulders and even though he can't hear the conversation you're having with the person on the other end of the phone, he can see that you're shouting.
It drags on for the better half of an hour. The pacing, the frustrated hand waving, the pinching of the bridge of your nose. Whatever it is, Andrew bets he could help with it.
He hates seeing you stressed. Thinks you should be living your fun, carefree life like normal. You shouldn't be burdened with…whatever it is that's got you so upset.
But it's not like he can go over and just ask.
So, he chooses a different path instead.
Gets the key to the office of the apartment complex from Smurf. Rummages through the paper files until he finds the lease contract linked to your apartment number.
Andrew thinks he should've done this weeks ago. He learns an awful lot about you this way. Like your name, which he begins to recite like a mantra in his head. He learns your birthday and, regretfully, your age.
But, most importantly, he discovers (and memorizes) your phone number.
And that same day, he returns to Smurf's with a torn piece of paper with the digits scribbled on it. He hands it to his nephew and says, "Need you to get a few phone call records. Can you do that for me?"
J furrows his brows in confusion. "Who's number?"
Pope shrugs. "No one," he lies. "Can you get the records or not?"
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, probably. Anything specific you're looking for?"
"I wanna know about a call that happened today. Around two or so. Lasted almost an hour. Just get me the number of whoever was on the other line."
J hesitates for a single moment, and then nods slowly. "Alright. I'll get back to you on it."
In the meantime, Andrew spirals.
The thought of you having a boyfriend never really crossed his mind until now. You don't really have men over. Just your girl friends.
But there are some Saturday nights you don't come home, stumbling in early Sunday morning instead with sunglasses on and your hair a mess. So, Pope thinks you very well could have a boyfriend and he never would've known it.
Pope tells himself if it is a boyfriend, he won't…he won't do anything. It's not his place to make decisions for you, right?
Still. You shouldn't let a man stress you out so much. Whoever it is, they're not worth it. You deserve better. You deserve more.
You deserve someone who knows you.
Less than two hours later, Pope gets a phone call from J, who explains that the person on the other end of that phone call wasn't a person at all.
It was your phone company.
Your stupid fucking service provider who just so happened to put an extra two hundred dollar fee on your bill this month, claiming data overages.
All that stress wasn't over a boyfriend. It was over money.
And money is something Andrew can provide.
He waits until you leave for work, locking up tight behind you. But that doesn't matter, not now. Andrew has a key to the office, which means he has access to the spare key to your apartment.
He is fully aware that he shouldn't be doing this, but ten minutes after you leave he unlocks the door and steps inside anyway.
Your apartment smells sweet. Like sugar and citrus. He wonders if you smell the same way, and the thought alone makes Andrew's mouth water.
He moves slowly into your space, fingers tracing over the TV stand, feeling the wood beneath his calloused fingertips. He straightens the crooked throw pillow on the couch and puts the lighter for your candle back into the tray on the coffee table.
Andrew knows he should just…leave the cash and go. He shouldn't be snooping around, invading your privacy.
But you left a knife point-side up in the strainer in the sink. And you could get hurt doing something like that.
And once he's already in the kitchen, turning the knife over so the sharp edge is down, well…what will it hurt if he opens a couple of drawers?
None of your silverware matches. Andrew finds this little fact sort of endearing. Messy and chaotic in the same way you are, but that's okay. Maybe he can fix that for you one day, too.
Your bathroom is cluttered. There's makeup products littering the porcelain sink and the cabinet mirror is left wide open. Andrew picks up a few different products to read the labels and finds lip liners and leave-in conditioners and powdered blush with pilled pigment on the counter.
He finds that lotion you're always using on Sundays and opens the lid. Andrew brings the container to his nose, inhales deeply, and feels suddenly too hot.
The scent of it is sweet, like you. There's notes of syrupy amber and warm florals and it has the muscles in his abdomen squeezing tight as he thinks about how potent the scent would be if he were between your legs, freshly oiled, calves resting on his shoulders as he licks and sucks at your clit.
His cock has been half hard since the moment he stepped foot in your apartment, but by the time he makes it to your bedroom?
Pope is aching.
Your clothes are strewn all over. There's t-shirts on the floor and jeans inside out near the hamper and a dress you'd worn two weekends ago lying on the edge of your unmade bed.
It smells like you in here, too. Even more so. There's less perfume, but Andrew swears he can smell the scent of your skin. Sweet and intoxicating, sending sparks of arousal straight to his groin.
Your bedside table has a lamp on it and three half-empty bottles of water. There's one drawer, and he pries it open and gives a slow exhale to see all the silk and lace inside.
Going through your underwear drawer is, quite literally, the very last thing someone like Andrew Cody should be doing.
He does it anyway.
Rummages around until he finds that little black pair you like to sleep in. He runs his fingers over the lace band, feeling the softness beneath the rough pad of his thumb. His cock is throbbing, even before he brings the fabric to his nose and inhales the scent of laundry detergent and faint mahogany from the nightstand and—there. The scent of you.
As close as he can get.
As close as he'll probably ever get.
He needs to leave. Andrew is painfully aware that this is crossing a line of a whole new degree. Levels above simply watching.
This is obsession. This is addiction. Sick and twisted and perverted.
Andrew does not leave.
He climbs into your bed instead. Kicks off his boots and discards his hoodie until he's in nothing but his jeans. He slips beneath your sheets—satin, and pink, and filled with the scent of your shampoo and your skin and—fuck.
His cock is leaking by the time he undoes his belt. Andrew reaches beneath your blankets and shoves his jeans down just enough to free himself.
And it's almost enough to blow his load right fucking there, when the underside of his heavy length brushes against the fabric of your sheets. It's almost too much, being in your room, in your bed, breathing in your scent.
But he resists. Grits his teeth and takes his cock in one hand and uses the other to wrap the soft fabric of your underwear around his aching length.
This time, there's nothing slow about the way he strokes himself to the thought of you. He's desperate for it. Release already clouds the edges of his mind and he needs the relief it'll provide.
His brain feels hazy and his vision blurs, just thinking about you, lying here, hand between your legs. He wonders how you touch yourself, if you just play with your clit or if you fuck yourself on your fingers.
The thought crosses his mind that you might be using more than just your hand, and Pope finds himself sitting up. He leans over the edge of your bed and sticks his hand back into your panty drawer, reaching to the very bottom, feeling around until the tips of his fingers brush over silicone.
His heart is beating fast.
It's a small thing. Pink, of course. With only a small, almost hidden power button.
Pope leans back in your pillows and turns the little vibrator on. It buzzes to life in his hand, and when he pushes the button again, the intensity ratchets even higher.
There's only three settings. He turns it to the highest one and imagines holding it against your swollen clit. He imagines you lying under him, thighs around his waist, hips bucking wildly, chasing the vibration that he gives and gives and then takes away.
He turns so he's lying face down in your sheets now, nose pressed into your pillow. Pope puts the vibrator between his cock and the soft expanse of his abdomen, and he feels the sensation everywhere.
He's still got your underwear wrapped around his cock, and he gives a tentative roll of his hips against the mattress.
The groan he lets out is guttural. With his eyes closed, he can imagine its not your panties he's fucking but you. The tight, wet cunt between your legs. He can imagine it's the curve of your throat he's got his nose buried in and not your pillow. He can imagine that sweet, intense vibration is reverberating through your pelvic bone, little toy pressed hard against your clit.
Pope tells himself he'd make it so fucking good for you. He'd bury his cock so deep you'd never forget the weight of it inside you. He'd whisper how beautiful you are in your ear and make you look him in the eyes while he watches you cum over and over and over.
His release is…embarrassingly fast.
A few rolls of his hips against your mattress and he's cumming into the lace fabric of your panties, the vibration of the toy milking him until he's so overstimulated it almost hurts.
Pope rolls over, turns the toy off, and buries it back in the bottom of your drawer. He gives himself a few more moments to gather himself. To catch his breath, to wipe himself clean (never mind the couple of drops that now stain your satin sheets. That could be from anything, right?).
He tucks himself back into his jeans, pulls on his boots and his hoodie, and tosses your underwear in the pile of clothes next to the laundry bin.
There's a pair of your jeans in the middle of the floor, away from the rest. One leg of the denim is inside out. Pope takes the cash from his wallet and tucks it into the pocket, leaving out just enough that he knows you'll notice it.
He leaves.
Locks the door behind him with the spare key.
Makes it halfway across the courtyard before he doubles back, lets himself back into your apartment and into the bathroom where he pockets one of the many different chapsticks on the sink.
It isn't until he's home, tucked safe back in his own apartment, that he realizes it's strawberries and cream flavored.
Andrew puts it on, swiping the transparent petroleum over his lips. He tells himself it's almost like kissing.
Later that day, Craig calls a family meeting. But you've just gotten home, and he knows you'll find the cash within a few minutes when you go to change out of your clothes.
So Andrew waits at the bottom of the stairs on his side of the courtyard. He can't see into your apartment from here, though. And he decides he'll only wait for thirty minutes.
He responds to text messages and opens his blank, photo-less Instagram (that he definitely didn't make only to look at your profile. The one filled with selfies under neon lights and bikini photos on the beach and mirror pictures in the dressing room at that one boutique in the mall).
Twenty nine minutes later, he hears an apartment door slam shut and looks up to see you.
You've got your bag over one shoulder and a grin on your face and the cash in your hand. Enough to cover the additional charges and a little extra, too.
You notice him at the bottom of the cement stairs and freeze, but you don't look…scared, like he expects. Maybe a little startled at first, but the tension bleeds from your face the moment you recognize him.
He should say something. Talk to you. Apologize, maybe, for staring at you.
But Andrew isn't sorry.
And he's never really been good at talking, anyway.
You tilt your head and give him the sweetest fucking smile he's ever seen. It's somehow innocent and knowing at the same time, and Andrew feels the corners of his mouth lifting in response.
Something passes silently between you. An understanding, maybe. You know he watches you, and he knows you know, but…you don't stop him. You just let it happen.
You smile at him from fifteen feet away.
And then you turn to leave, no doubt making your way to pay off that stupid bill that caused you so much unrest.
Pope watches you go, like always.
But this time, you glance back at him over your shoulder with…something lingering in your pretty eyes. Excitement, maybe. He can't be sure.
He needs to get closer.
During the family meeting, he isn't very present. His mind is so far away, stuck on you, that he just blindly agrees to whatever job they're doing next and trusts that it'll all work out.
When he returns to his apartment, there's a note stuck to his door.
A pink sticky note with nothing but a phone number and a heart with an arrow through it scribbled on the paper.
Your phone number, Pope knows.
He knows he shouldn't text you.
It's stupid and dangerous and god, you really shouldn't be giving your number to random men. He could be a creep. He could be a stalker or something.
His message just says,
Hello.
Your response is immediate, with no capitalization which seems quite…fitting for you. He finds it strangely endearing.
hey
are u the guy from apt 212 ???
Pope can feel that this is a bad idea already. But he's already here, and there's no going back now, is there? He doesn't want to hurt your feelings. He doesn't want to leave you on read and make you think he's not interested when the problem is the exact opposite.
Yes.
The typing bubble pops up, disappears, and appears again three different times before you send another message.
im gonna be home in like an hr
will u be watching ???
Always, he wants to say. Fucking always. He can't take his eyes off you, no matter how hard he tries. No matter how shameful it feels.
Andrew's hands shake as he types out a response.
Do you want me to be?
No hesitation this time. Your message comes through a second later.
uhmmm tbh yeah <3
He exhales a long breath. It doesn't feel real. Like he's imagining the entire thing. How could he not be? Why on earth would the sweetest, prettiest little thing want someone to watch her?
But the weight of his cell phone in his hand is real.
And the text message is real.
And this…this is real.
Then yes. I will be.
You don't reply, and Andrew's heart flutters in his chest as he takes his practiced position in the chair in front of his window and waits.
True to your word, you're skipping up the steps fifty three minutes after the last message is sent. You turn on those LEDs and and move about your apartment like normal, kicking off your sneakers and dropping your bag by the door. You change out of your clothes and put on a worn in t-shirt that's two sizes too big for you, but underneath…
Pope can see the sheer thigh highs you wear and the black, lace edge of them. He can see those strappy garters attached to them, but nothing else. The straps disappear beneath your shirt, leaving him wanting for more.
You're teasing him, Pope realizes.
He watches with bated breath as you lay on the couch, getting comfortable with the throw pillow against the arm.
And then, for the first time, Andrew watches you touch yourself.
You start slowly, hands roaming over your body, on top of the fabric, massaging gently at the inside of your thighs.
His cock's always hard watching you, truth be told. But this…
His skin feels hot. His lungs feel tight.
Your fingers curl around the edge of your t-shirt, and you pull it over your head to discard it on the floor.
Andrew hasn't seen you wear this set before, not even on those sacred Sundays.
It's pretty. Matching black lace. The bra is low cut and pushes your breasts up your chest, the soft flesh swelling over the top. The waistband of the matching panties is decorated in shining silver gems, laying so perfectly against your hips that he feels dizzy just looking at it.
The prettiest package, just begging to be unraveled by his big, mean hands.
You dressed up for him.
You dressed up for him.
Your hands start to move again, palming your breasts, pulling the lace down until they spill out of the top. Your nipples are so pretty that his mouth waters. He wants to kiss them, to feel the shape of them under his tongue. He wants to kneel over top of you and jerk himself off until they're covered in his sticky white release.
You squeeze your breasts until your nipples form pretty little peaks, and then your hands slide lower. Over your abdomen, and your hips, and then your thighs. You bring them slowly back up, only to slide them over the lace fabric of your panties, right down the center of your cunt.
Andrew thinks he could die.
He could fucking die, just looking at you.
Carefully, you unbuckle the chrome latch of your garter. The left side first, and then the right quickly follows. You leave the lace belt on, but hook your thumbs around the bedazzled lace of your panties and pull them down your thighs painfully slowly.
Your knees fall apart.
Pope swallows hard.
He can see everything from here. The seam of your thighs that he's dreamt about. The pretty shape of your pussy. The wetness that's gathered between your folds, slick and shiny with arousal. With want.
For him. It's for him.
His cock throbs so hard it hurts.
Pope doesn't touch himself. He can't. Can he? All you asked of him was that he watched.
That's what you wanted.
But wouldn't it be better if he was there? Wouldn't it be better if he could touch you, if he could taste you, if he could fuck you?
All you'd have to do is let him in.
Your fingers stroke gently over your clit in small circles, and he watches in awe as your lips part and your spine bends.
He can't hear your moans but god does he wish he could. Thinks about putting a little microphone in your lampshade the next time he sneaks into your apartment.
Your fingers drift lower, over your center, and slowly press inside.
Pope wants it to be him so fucking bad.
If not his cock inside you then his fingers. They're bigger. Longer. Thicker. They'd please you more. Reach places your fingers can't.
Maybe his tongue. He'd drink you right from the fucking source and cum in his jeans, probably. But he'd make sure to find that sweet, velvety spot inside you first and he'd spell his full fucking name over it with a pointed tongue.
Silly girl. Don't you know what he could do for you? Don't you know what he could do to you?
Pope squeezes the bulge in his jeans to try and alleviate the pain of his lust.
You fuck yourself with your fingers, stuffing in one and then two and then three, stretching yourself on them, slick dripping down the seam of your cunt. Your back arches when your free hand finds your clit, and he knows you're close.
He knows he shouldn't, but he searches frantically for his phone anyway and sends another text message.
I want to hear you.
You pause only long enough to grab your phone off the coffee table, read the text, and lay your phone on the arm of the couch behind you.
Pope's phone buzzes in his hand.
You're calling him.
He answers on the first ring, and the sounds that greet him are so erotic it steals the breath from his lungs.
You sound so pretty. So sweet and feminine, everything he's imagined yet somehow so, so much more. He's sure you can hear his heavy breaths on the other end of the phone, but Pope can't find it in himself to care. Can't think of much else besides the way you whimper and the sight of your fingers stuffed inside you.
"Oh, god—"
His inhale is shaky.
"I'm gonna cum," you choke out, words hazy with your moans. "I'm so close, I'm so fucking—hmm. Yes. What's your name?"
He almost doesn't hear you, so lost in the sight before him. Immersed in the euphoria of it. But then he says, voice a low, uncertain whisper, "Andrew."
Your spine bends and the fingers on your clit slow. "Oh my god. Fuck, Andrew—I'm cumming, I'm—yes, yes—god."
His cock twitches and when he tries to soothe it with another tight squeeze, he sends himself careening off the precipice of release instead. His head falls back and his once heavy breaths get stuck in his lungs. Pope rubs himself over his jeans, making a sticky, hot mess in his boxers, generating what little friction he can.
He watches you come down in real time. Not his dreams, not his imagination. He watches it happen. Watches that fucked-out, hazy look cross your face. Watches the tension in your muscles melt away, wishing he could kiss the junction of your throat.
Pope wishes he could worship you. Wishes he could clean you up and put on that trashy reality show you like and hold you against his chest, comforting you while your brain comes back to earth.
Instead, you lean up. Grab your phone and press it to your ear, staring right at him through his wide open window.
He doesn't know what he expects you to say, but it's certainly not, "Have you been inside my apartment, Andrew?"
For a second, he thinks about lying. Because there's no way you know, right? Not for sure. It's not like you have cameras or anything (he knows, because he checked).
But he doesn't want to lie. Not to you.
"I…might have been. Once, yes."
"Did you steal my chapstick?"
"You have ten of them."
He hears your laugh for the first time, and the sound is like sunlight in his chest. "You took the best flavor."
"I'm…I'm sorry. I'll return it."
"Keep it. I already got a new one," you say. "Cost me five hundred dollars, though."
So, you know it was him who left the cash, too.
Smart, pretty girl.
He doesn't say anything, too afraid he'll say something stupid or awkward the way he usually does. He doesn't want to ruin this moment. This absolutely perfect moment.
You smile at him, kiss your palm, and blow it towards your window. "Goodnight, Andrew."
He feels his face heat. "Goodnight."
Pope rides the high of it for days.
Can't shake the sight of you open and bare for him. Can't stop thinking about the sound of your moans or the way you'd said his name in the peak of euphoria. He fucks his first to the thought of it more times than he can count.
And Andrew's never been a really sexual person. Not unless it's with someone he loves.
But is that what this is? Love?
You've never met. Not really, not properly. How could it be something so intense? You don't know him. You don't know who he is or what he does. You don't know how he's hurt and maimed and killed.
Would you be afraid, finding out? Would you run to the police if you knew? Would you recoil away from him with terror in your eyes?
All things left unsaid. All things that may, very well, never be said.
Pope feels so uncertain with all of this that he finds himself resorting to fucking google, even. Search history littered with questions and Reddit threads that never provide any real clarity.

He's at Smurf's when he reads the message.
Pope doesn't even realize he's smiling until Deran slides a beer across the counter at him and asks, "What's got you all happy today?"
And Pope just shakes his head. Schools his features back into neutrality and says, "Nothing. Just won a bet."
He can tell his brother doesn't believe him, not even for a second. But thankfully, Deran doesn't push any further. He lets the subject go, but the question stays stuck in Andrew's head for hours.
It takes him a while to decide on a response. It's honest, and…mostly true.
We shouldn't. I'm a lot older than you.
Your response is a single, painful letter.
k
He doesn't respond to try his hand at damage control, even though he wants to. It's probably better this way, he thinks. Better that there's some distance between you. Better that you hate him and see him as the creepy neighbor he is.
But that Saturday night, when you return home, it's not with your friends.
Pope watches from his window as you guide a man up the stairs and into your apartment.
He's tall. Dark haired, with bright eyes and white teeth and a good smile. Closer to your age. Handsome like a man allowed into your space should be.
You're fumbling a little with your apartment key and Pope watches as the man stands behind you and slides his hands down the back of your thighs.
Thighs he should be touching. Thighs he's watched for months. Thighs that spread for him, long before this fucking loser ever laid his eyes on you.
He tells himself he won't interfere.
You're your own woman. You deserve to feel good, even if it's with…someone else.
And Pope knows he's just going to have to get the fuck over it.
He did it to himself, really.
He should look away.
But he watches instead.
Watches the two of you fall onto the couch. Watches another man kiss down the column of your throat and squeeze the supple curve of your ass over your sequined dress.
Your eyes find his from across the courtyard, and Pope's jaw clenches.
Putting on another show for him. Filthy, filthy girl.
And you're just going to give it to some random man? Someone who doesn't know you like Pope does? Someone who doesn't know how you like to be touched?
He needs to look away. Close his own fucking blinds for once.
But he feels frozen. Knowing this time, you're watching him. Looking for him. Goading for a reaction.
Pope watches the slow ascent of the man's hand. Promises himself he won't interfere. He'll just watch to make sure you're safe, that's all.
But the moment that greedy hand disappears beneath your dress, Andrew's moving. Throwing open his door and slamming it closed behind him. He crosses the courtyard and takes the steps two at a time.
His fist against your apartment door is incessant. He doesn't stop, even when he hears the uttered, male voice ask, "Who is that?"
When the door opens, it's you who stands in front of him, chin tilted up as you stare at him, pupils flared wide.
The man you'd brought home with you hovers over your shoulder.
Pope doesn't even look at him. He stares only at you as he says, a little snarl in his voice, "Tell him to leave."
"Dude, what the fuck? Who is this guy?"
Your lips curl at the corners. A devilish little smile. "Okay," you say, nodding, your voice soft and pliant. You turn your head to look at the man who stands behind you. "Sorry, but you've gotta go."
"You're joking," he responds flatly. "You said I could—!"
Andrew reaches past you and takes him by the collar, pulling him out of your apartment and slamming him up against the paneled siding. "I ever see you in this apartment again, I'll fucking kill you. You understand me?"
"Jesus fucking—yeah, okay. Alright. Sorry."
Pope isn't joking. Doesn't say it to scare him off but rather as a warning.
He lets him go and watches him scramble down the stairs. He doesn't turn back to face you until the little tool you used for attention gets in his car and drives away.
And when he does finally turn back to you…Christ. Your eyes are half lidded and full of lust. Pope's close enough this time that there's no mistaking it.
He should be a gentleman. Should take you out first. Bring you home and kiss you on your doorstep and leave you untouched.
He knows he should.
What he does instead is curl his hand around the back of your neck and pull you to him. He leans down, mouth hovering over yours, breathing in your panicky exhales. "This what you want?"
Your grin is immediate and undeniable. You nod and breathe out the word, "Please."
Andrew kisses you hard, crowding you back into your apartment. He kicks the door closed behind him and slides his tongue into your mouth, tasting you and groaning at the sweetness. There's mint and strawberry and you, his favorite flavor.
He feels drunk on it. On the taste of your tongue, the glide of your wet lips over his, the way your hands scramble and tug desperately at his belt.
"Fuck," he sighs, pulling back just enough to see you. "Open your mouth, baby. Wide. And stick out your tongue."
The way you immediately obey has his cock twitching. Good girl. So fucking good for him when he gives you exactly what you need.
Andrew licks the flat of your tongue once, delighting in the way you whimper in response, before bringing his hand to your mouth. He slides two fingers behind your teeth and orders, "Suck."
You do, lips closing tight around the digits, wet tongue swirling over his thick knuckles. He pushes them further down your throat, your eyes locked on his as he makes you choke on them.
"So fucking pretty," he tells you. "You always look so pretty."
Andrew pulls the straps of your mini dress over your shoulders, roughly tugging the fabric over your chest down to expose your breasts.
You're wearing the same lace bra you'd worn when you dressed up for him, he realizes. He can see the peaks of your nipples through the semi-sheer fabric, and leans down to lock his lips around the left one over the lace.
The fabric is rough beneath his tongue, a stark contrast to the softness of your skin. He sucks hard, spreading the wetness of his saliva over the lace. You push your dress further down your waist and over your hips.
Andrew slides his fingers out of your mouth, sticky and dripping with your spit. He brings them to his own lips instead and sucks them clean, watching your breath hitch and your eyes grow impossibly more hazy.
He lowers himself to his knees before you and his slick fingers work quickly at the straps of your heels, unbuckling them to free your pretty, white-painted toes.
Your hands find his shoulders for balance. "I like that you watch me," you tell him. "I think about it sometimes and it makes me so…god, Andrew. It gets me so wet."
He looks up at you from his knees, big brown eyes glassy and full of adoration. "Good," he says. "'Cause I'm gonna watch you a little closer tonight."
That pretty smile finds its way to your face again.
Andrew presses a sweet, chaste kiss to the apex of your thighs. Over your panties, right where he knows your clit lies beneath. He then stands to his feet, towering over you now without the added height of your heels, and presses you forward.
You take a careful step back, nearly losing your balance.
Andrew grins, taking another step, crowding you back towards your bedroom. He doesn't stop until the back of your knees hit the edge of your mattress.
You stumble backwards, falling into the plush sheets that he's all too familiar with. Lying on your back, propped up by your elbows, you stare up at him with wide eyes and he's reminded of a timid little animal caught in the trap of a predator.
Don't you know how dangerous he could be?
You don't look afraid. You actually look…eager.
Pope stands tall at the edge of your mattress. "Take off your clothes."
You do. Unclasping your bra first, tossing the fabric into the already existing mess on the floor. And then your panties follow, thumbs hooking around the fabric to drag it down your legs.
Andrew reaches around and fists the collar of his shirt, tugging it over his head. He feels warm all over, watching you greedily drink up the sight of him. He thinks he'd feel a little nervous, in any other setting. If it were anyone but you.
His sweet, filthy girl.
Andrew reaches into the half-open drawer of your nightstand, searching until he finds your vibrator again.
Your brows furrow as you watch him find it with practiced ease. "You went through my underwear drawer, too?"
"Did more than that," he admits.
You inhale like you're going to speak again, but the words melt to nothing when he tosses the small toy onto the bed beside you.
"Use it," Pope orders.
"What?"
He crawls onto the mattress between your legs, spreading them wide, laying your calves on either side of his hips. "Let me watch you."
There's a moment of hesitation, but you don't look nervous. Only…curious.
You pick up the vibrator and slide the pink silicone through your folds, spreading your arousal before you press the power button. You circle your clit with the tip of it a few times, teasing yourself.
When you turn the toy on, he can feel the vibration against his hands that grip your thighs. You let out a syrupy moan and turn the intensity higher, drawing tight circles around your pretty clit.
He watches you, eyes locked on the pink silicone between your legs. He watches your entrance flutter, tightening around nothing, begging to be filled. "Your pussy is so pretty," he mutters. "Do you know that?"
Your only response is a breathy whimper. You click the intensity up again, putting it on the highest setting, and Pope sighs when your legs begin to shake around him.
He wants to watch you make yourself cum. Wants another scene to fuck his fist to in the shower or in his bed or in his truck.
But he's here. Finally, finally here, in your bed, with you, and he can't help himself.
Pope grips your hips hard and pulls you closer, tilting your hips up into his lap. The vibrator falls from your hand at the sudden movement, but he's quick to return it to you. "Keep going."
You press the silicone back to your clit, and Andrew spreads you open with gentle thumbs. He gathers the spit in his mouth and lets it drip from his lips and onto the seam of your cunt.
And then he's sliding his middle finger inside of your entrance, curling it upwards, searching for that sweet spot that makes you writhe.
It doesn't take long. He's watched you. He knows just what you like and what angle to hit. And the second the tip of his finger presses hard against it, you fist your free hand in the sheets and curses fall from your sweet mouth.
Pope slides another thick finger inside, watching the way you squirm, feeling the walls of your cunt flutter around the swell of his knuckles.
"I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna—oh, fuck. Feels so good, feels so fucking—"
A long, throaty moan leaves your mouth, and he feels the warmth of your release pool in his palm. You're so slick that each wet thrust of his fingers echoes against the walls of your room.
He doesn't stop until you're twitching. Until you click the vibrator off and shove it away from you. And even then, he still gives a few, slow curls of his fingers inside of you. Not touching with intent, just…feeling. Memorizing.
Once you catch your breath, you lean up enough to find his eyes again. You say timidly, shyly, "I want…I want to feel you, Andrew. I want you inside me. Do you…do you want to fuck me?"
It's the most asinine question he's ever been asked in his fucking life. Does he want to fuck you?
He's thought of nothing else for months. Every night when he fights for sleep, it's the thought of you under him that puts him to bed.
It's such an impractical concern from his point of view that he laughs. Actually laughs, for the first time in years. "Oh, baby."
Pope takes your hands in his. He presses one to his chest, right over his heart, and the other against the hardness in his jeans.
"I have never wanted another woman as bad as I want you," he says truthfully. "But I…you…you deserve better than this. Better than me. You understand that, don't you?"
You shake your head. "You don't know me, Andrew. Not really. You don't know if—"
"No, no. I do. I know you're the kind of friend who would give the shirt off their back. The kind of girl who'd let her phone get cut off before asking for help. The kind of girl who gets up every morning and just…tries. Every day. And you fucking…you smile about it. You're good. You're so fucking good and I…"
He stops.
Remembers the last time he loved someone like this and how he'd made a stupid confession he should've taken to his grave and how it'd fucked him completely.
"You're what, Andrew?"
Pope swallows. "I'm...I'm a bad man. I've hurt people. I will…hurt people, I—" His voice cracks. He lowers his eyes, trying to turn away, unable to find the strength to face you.
But you take his jaw in your gentle hands and force him to look at you. Sweet, angel of a girl that you are. And then you say without a waver to be found in your voice, "I like who you are. Do you think I gave the man who watches me through my window my phone number because I want some guy I could match with on Tinder?"
He tries to slow the rapid pounding of his heart. He wonders if love is supposed to be like this. To feel like this. All consuming and terrifying and devastatingly hopeful above all.
You shake your head and tuck your legs beneath you, sitting up on your knees. He sits stone still as you lean forward and kiss his cheek, whispering against his ear, "I've been watching you, too, Andrew Cody."
Something shifts inside of him as you say it. Uttering his last name that he'd never given you, that isn't even on his lease because this is a fake apartment under a fake name to launder the money they steal.
Oh—sweet, smart girl. Smarter than he thought.
How silly of him to ever doubt you.
There's a newfound wildness in your eyes when they meet his again. An unveiling. Like he's seeing you for who you truly are for the first time.
And you're…god. So fucking beautiful.
And, yeah. Pope thinks he's been right this whole fucking time.
He's weird and wrong and sickly obsessed.
But you are, too.
Andrew takes you by the back of the neck and kisses you hard, desperate to taste you, to close what little physical space remains between your body and his. He pushes you back against the mattress and follows you down.
Your hands find his belt buckle before he does, and he stares down at you as your deft fingers pry the leather open and unbutton his jeans. He helps you push the denim down his legs until his cock springs free, heavy and leaking. Wanting for you, twitching as you take it carefully in your hand.
A groan reverberates at the back of his mouth. Your hands are so soft. Perfect and pliant. One day, he swears he'll show you how he likes to be touched. He'll let you sit in his lap and watch him stroke his cock for you.
But for now, he lets you touch him slowly. Experimental. Feeling the heavy weight of him in your palm. You spit on your fingertips and spread your saliva over his sensitive tip, flushed red and pulsing beneath your touch.
You lean back and guide him between your thighs, sliding the head of his cock through your syrupy folds and over your clit.
The moment you line him up at your entrance, Pope eases inside and you let out the sweetest fucking sigh he's ever heard in his entire life. Sweet and soft and so, so satisfied.
It's so beautiful. You're so beautiful. And you feel warm and heavenly and wet around him. He pulls out slowly, almost all the way, and then drives his cock back into your cunt.
You squeal and those sharp, acrylic nails dig into his spine. But your legs circle his hips, and so Pope does it again.
He fucks you hard. Claiming that spot at the back of your cunt, pressed right up against your cervix. He rolls his hips and presses his mouth to yours, swallowing up those desperate, carnal sounds he pulls out of our chest.
Sweet girl. Sweet fucking girl. He reaches between you and circles your clit. "My girl now," he says, words spoken against your lips. "You'll never need anyone else, baby. No one but me."
You nod, the velvety walls of your pussy squeezing around the hard length of his cock.
Andrew puts his whole weight on top of you, grinding himself between your thighs, giving you everything he has. Everything he is.
"I'm yours," you choke out. "I'm yours, I'm yours, I'm—"
It becomes a mantra. One that feeds his desire, in perfect sync with the rhythm of his thrusts. He watches your arousal begin to crest, nearing the summit, the muscles in your thighs twitching. "Look at me, baby," he says. "Tell me you love me when I make you cum."
You're so lost in it, head all spacey, that your eyes remain closed until he takes your jaw in a firm grip.
There are pretty tears in your eyes when you open them, but that smile on your face is present, too. He feels you pulse around him and your breath gets all shallow and then—
"I love you, Andrew, I fucking—oh my god please, please—I love you."
The words are music to his ears, tingling down his spine, leaving goosebumps in their wake. He thought the sound of his name in your mouth was beautiful but this…fuck. He could die.
Pope thinks he would. For you, he would.
He fucks you through it. Tastes your moans and says, "Yeah, that's it. Give it to me. Look so pretty when you cum for me."
He doesn't let his pace falter until your muscles loosen, until your nails stroke gently over his spin instead of leaving marks.
You pepper sweet kisses over his jaw, tongue sliding up the shell of his ear. "I want you to cum inside me," you tell him.
He's been fighting it the whole time, trying desperately not to blow his load before he'd at least gotten you there first.
But when you say that?
When you say, "Please, Andrew. Want you to give it to me. Want you to fill me up with your cum. Please. I need it."
He thinks about telling you that you don't have to beg. Not him, not for anything (especially this). But you just sound so pretty, begging for his cum, that he can't bring himself to do it.
So, he gives you what you want instead. Fucks his cum into you, groaning low in your ear, cock pulsing inside you. You feel so good wrapped around him it's euphoric. Otherworldly.
Your pussy grips tight, milking him dry, taking every last drop (he knows you're on birth control. Don't you know the women's clinic downtown keeps a spare key beneath the plant in front of their door?).
Andrew is careful when he slides out of you. And he wastes no time before kicking his jeans the rest of the way off and pulling you against his chest.
He pulls the blanket up around your shoulders and presses a kiss to your hairline. His voice wavers a little as he says, "Sorry if I…if I was a little rough."
You shake your head, pressing your nose to the divot between his pectorals. "It was perfect," you murmur against his skin.
Silence settles between you. Comfortable and easy, the sound of your breathing in perfect synchronization.
After some time you say, "I meant it, you know. Wouldn't have said it if I didn't. I really think I might be in love with you, Andrew. Is that…crazy?"
Yes, he wants to say.
But he feels it, too.
So instead he says, "You know, I don't…I don't have much experience with that sorta thing. Don't really know how to…to navigate it, I guess. But, uhm…yeah. Me, too."
He feels that smile of yours against his chest.
Andrew knows that this dynamic the two of you have created is weird.

I had been working in the FBI offices for nearly a month when I noticed that one of the members of the BAU kept shooting me glances whenever I walked around the bullpen. I felt myself blush every time I caught him looking, and soon enough I was the one staring at him. I had a desk in the corner, being an FBI accountant for the BAU team, it made sense for me to work in their office level. Whenever the team weren’t on a case, I started putting in more effort to my appearance in the hopes that he would notice. I knew the young Doctor was a shy man, so if I wanted to actually get to know him I would have to approach him first. By the time of my six month review, we had only spoken a handful of times, usually in the office kitchen. Every time I did, I watched how he shuffled nervously and tripped over his words, and it made me fall even harder. I decided that I had to do something to show him that I was interested in him, so I started leaving post it notes on his desk for him to find, writing little things I admired about him on them, without signing my name. I saw him pick one up one day, and he smiled shyly with a deep blush and put it in his drawer carefully. I did my best to talk to him, occasionally asking about whatever book I noticed he had been reading.
“So, have you read anything interesting lately Dr. Reid?” I asked, and smiled when he jumped slightly at the realisation I was asking him something.
“Oh! Um, I read this book about… oh, well…” He trails off, looking away.
“What is it about? I don’t care if it’s something relating to your work, Dr. Reid.”
“You can call me Spencer…” He mumbled, looking at me nervously. “It’s not related to our work but it isn’t exactly polite conversation.” He frowned.
“I don’t care.” I smiled, trying to keep the conversation going.
“Alright. It’s about a gynaecologist and obstetrician called Dr. James C. Burt, who used his practice to perform what he called Love Surgery, but it was basically genital reconstruction, which he honed by experimenting with episiotomies on patients without their consent. He believed that the female anatomy is misaligned for penetrative sex, so he tried to “fix” it by performing genital reconstruction, ” He stopped, and looked at me with an apologetic expression.
“That’s horrible.” I exclaimed, but finding his conversation very interesting.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t talk about that.” He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
“No, it’s interesting! Just, also terrible. It’s nice you care about stuff like that.” I sighed, disappointed he didn’t want to share more about what he had read.
“Do you, um, read?” He asked abruptly.
“Yeah! But mostly fiction though. You don’t read fiction, do you?” I said.
“No, I do!”
“Oh, okay. I thought the genius wouldn’t have time for something that isn’t real?” I teased him.
“Studies have shown that reading fiction predicts increased social acuity and a sharper ability to comprehend other people’s motivations.” He recited from memory.
“So reading fiction helps you with your job?” I said with a grin.
“Yes, I guess it does. Social acuity doesn’t come easily to me, I’ve learnt a lot about human interaction through fiction actually.” He told me.
“You can’t be that bad at it, you are a profiler for the BAU after all.”
“Maybe it’s just my own social interactions I struggle with.”
I looked at him sympathetically, and I felt bold enough to say,
“There’s nothing wrong with that. I find socialising difficult to navigate too. Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable with talking to me? Because I do enjoy talking to you, Spencer.”
“You do?! Oh, uh, um, no no. It’s not your fault that I’m so awkward.”
My heart clenched for the sweet young man, and I went to put out my hand to comfort him, but I had seen him flinch and shrink back at the touch of others, so I didn’t want to make him feel worse.
“I like, I think it’s… it’s not a bad thing. It makes you interesting, if anything.” I sighed in an attempt to console him.
He frowned and whispered thanks, before taking his coffee and practically running away from me. I shook my head sadly and left another anonymous note the next day, ‘Your awkwardness is cute. Embrace it.’
I kept talking to him when I got the chance, and left him notes on his desk. It had been nearly a year now, and I was starting to feel like I had to tell him my feelings or it would kill me. He was on a case in Florida, and I knew he struggled with heat regulation like I did, so I ran up to him before they left and gave him my little hand held fan to take.
“Wow, that’s really kind of you. Thank you so much y/n, this will really help. Can we, would it be okay if we talk about something important when I get back from this case?” He asked, blushing red.
I turned a similar shade, hope creeping up my throat, and I bit my lip to suppress my excited grin. “Of course we can, Spencer. Come find me when you get home.”
I spent the next several days completely distracted, finding it harder to focus on my work than usual, and I think I must have spent more time staring at Spencer’s desk than at my computer screen. I was talking to JJ, the media liaison with whom I was good friends, on the phone, and she told me that Spencer seemed unusually anxious and distracted, so at least I wasn’t the only one.
“We should be back at the office by two, if the arrest goes well.” She told me.
“Thanks JJ, that will give me time to set something up at his desk and fix my hair and makeup.” I said.
“He would love you if you were sitting on his desk in your pjs, y/n.”
I chuckled and smiled,
“Thanks JJ, see you soon. Get home safe.”
I drew love hearts all over sticky notes, and stuck them all over the sides of his computer screen. I used my lunch break to fix my hair and makeup, and I pulled out the ornamental chess piece that I had bought him on a whim, deciding that today was the day to finally give it to him. I wrote one last sticky note, saying, ‘May I be your Queen? From y/n,’ and put it underneath the ornately carved queen that I bought him, right in the middle of his desk. I looked over his desk with an excited smile, and turned around to go back to my desk, when I saw Spencer standing in front of me, watching with wide eyes. My heart started racing, and I looked anywhere but at him. After an awkward silence, he said,
“Hi y/n, what, um, what are you doing at my desk?” His voice cracked.
“I was just… um never mind,” I stammered, and looked up at him nervously. I watched him walk around me with a look of surprise as he saw the sticky notes with love hearts covering his computer screen, and he blushed as furiously as I did when he picked up the queen and examined it carefully. He looked down at the note, and his jaw fell open as he finally turned to look at me.
“Um, you, ah, wanted to talk about something important?” I squeaked as I shifted under his gaze.
He ignored my question and asked in a soft voice,
“You’re the one who’s been leaving me post-it notes?”
“I’m… yes I have. I’m sorry if I’ve made you uncomfortable, but I need to be honest with you about my feelings. I… really like you, Spencer. A lot. Romantically.” I gushed to him.
He stared at me silently for a moment, and blinked as he processed my words. A small smile appeared on his lips, and he whispered,”
“You really want to be my Queen?”
My heart skipped a beat, and I started smiling.
“Yes, I really do.”
“That’s good, because I would love to be your King.” He smiled shyly.
I stepped toward him, and was about to throw my arms around him when I hesitated, knowing he was averse to touch. Just when I was about to ask, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close, resting his head on my shoulder. I melted into his warm embrace, and returned his hug, stroking his back soothingly.
“Oh Spencer. I would love for you to be my King,” I sighed happily, and held him tight.
“That’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I really like you so much, y/n.” He whispered into my ear, and a warm feeling ran through me. After a long hug, I stepped back and smiled at him, and he grinned back with a blush.
“You said before you left that you wanted to talk about something important, can I ask, was it this? Were you going to tell me you like me?” I asked softly.
“Oh! No, actually. I don’t think I ever would have had the courage to tell you, honestly. I actually wanted to ask if you think one or both of us might be on the autism spectrum?”

I turned the ignition back over, hoping desperately to get the pickup truck started. It must have been dark for at least three hours, and we were far from anywhere or anything that resembled help. Spence, whose knowledge of an engine surprised me, shut the hood and got back into the cabin.
“We’re going to be stuck here tonight. I’m so sorry, y/n, I should have checked the engine when we picked it up.” He said remorsefully.
“It’s okay, Spence, we’ll survive. I should have checked too, I know engines well but I think our cover story is starting to take over my brain.” I consoled him, referring to our undercover mission in which he and I were posing as a married couple, myself playing the part of the perfect homemaker. Playing a couple was stressful for a number of reasons, including the little fact I was actually in love with him. Pretending I was in love with Spencer while hiding my genuine feelings for him was getting difficult. I shivered, feeling the cold winter run straight through my bones. I stuck my hands under my large thighs.
“Getting cold, wifey?” Spencer teased.
“Not as cold as you’re going to be when I make you sleep outside,” I quipped.
“That’s no way to talk to your loving husband!” He bantered, enjoying making light of our fake marriage.
“Okay my darling husband, can we please stop wasting our hot air talking and get in the back of the truck so we can save our body heat?” I asked, but then explained with slight hesitation, “So that we might actually survive this night?”
His face flushed, from embarrassment or the cold I wasn’t sure.
“Oh um, alright. Are you comfortable with that?”
“Yes,” I replied. “Are you?”
“Yup.” He squeaked.
“I’ll climb over first and check the camper shell is properly attached, can you bring the blankets please?”
“Okay.”
“We’re all set,” I said, checking the last attachment.
“If we use this insulated blanket underneath us we’ll lose less body heat,” Spence said, laying it down.
“I knew you were so intelligent for a reason, you’re going to keep us alive,” I gently joked.
“I hope so,” he softly smiled as he lay down under the rest of the blankets.
“Well.” I said and looked at him.
“Well.” He copied.
“I guess we’re doing this.”
“I guess so.”
“You’re not getting cold feet, are you?” He whispered with a little laugh.
I rolled my eyes.
“For your information, my feet are freezing. But no, never.”
“Come to bed, beautiful,” he said with a smile, but it didn’t feel like a joke.
I slowly lowered myself down and Spencer pulled the blankets up over me. He put his arm around my waist and got so close I felt his hot breath on my frozen nose.
“Is this okay?” He whispered, eyes wide.
I nodded, looking away from his piercing brown eyes, and hesitantly put my own arm over his slender body.
It must have been hours later, and neither one of us were anywhere close to falling asleep.
“Are you feeling any warmer?” Spencer asked.
“I think I’m actually colder,” I confessed.
“I’m fairly sure the temperature has dropped below 20 degrees if my internal thermometer is working accurately.”
“Of course you have an internal thermometer,” I smiled at my favourite nerd.
“It’s accurate 96.8% of the time.”
“I believe you.” I said while looking at him fondly.
“So, smarty, how are you going to stop us from becoming human icicles?”
“Well, I do have one idea.”
“Yes?”
“I don’t know if it’s proper.” He avoided my eyes.
“Spencer, we’re potentially going to die tonight, I am past caring about proper.” I said firmly.
“Alright then.”
“Well. What is it?”
“I know stripping off clothes is one of the last stages of hypothermia but if we lock ourselves in, we shouldn’t have a problem if we do get to that point. We’d be delirious by then anyway,” he rambled nervously.
I cocked an eyebrow, not sure where this was headed.
“Skin to skin contact transfers human warmth quicker.”
“Oh.”
“We don’t have to,” he backtracked.
“But we’d have a better chance of survival, wouldn’t we?”
He nodded.
“Okay, seeing as you’re the warmer one in this marriage, you go first hubby,” I said, trying to keep things light.
“Alright.” He said and began taking his outer layers off.
Once he got to his shirt I turned over to give him some privacy, even though it felt ridiculous in the circumstances.
“Done.” He said, and I looked over to see him tucked underneath the blankets with only his head showing. I smiled at how adorable he looked and start taking off my own clothes. He stared at me unconsciously, so I said,
“I turned around for you.”
“Oh I’m sorry y/n,” he apologised and turned away.
When I got down to just my bra and panties I slid back under the blankets.
“You ready?” I asked.
He flipped over, looking at me.
“I think so.”
We carefully reached out for each other, Spence shuddering when my hand found his shoulder.
“Sorry, my hands are cold,” I said.
“It’s okay. Get a little closer,” he whispered.
I did so and he slipped his large hand around my waist and up my back, holding me flush to him. I felt his fingers skimming my fat rolls, and I winced in shame.
“What’s wrong?” Are you still too cold?” He asked.
“No, I think this is helping actually, thank you. It’s my body. I’m just.., I have a lot of fat, and I’m sorry you have to touch it.”
“Why?” He whispered curiously in that way of his.
“Because I’m not thin and petite like beautiful women are supposed to be,” I choked out. I looked up at him, scared of his reaction.
“How could you… you don’t.., you’re so!” He cried out.
He pulled me even tighter against him, to the point where it felt like I might be absorbed by his body. His other hand came up to wipe away my tears and hold my cheek, and he took a breath and tried again,
“I don’t even think bodies matter that much because there’s so many more interesting things about you, but your body is so, so beautiful. I have trouble concentrating on cases because of it. Pretending to be your husband has been torturous. You’re so attractive.
“Do you mean that?” I asked insecurely and blushed hard.
“I absolutely do, and I don’t just love your body, but I love you y/n. I love all of you, and I know I shouldn’t say it, especially at a time like this when we’re just trying to survive, but I love and adore you.”
Overwhelmed with emotion, I started sobbing into his warm bare chest.
“I’m so sorry Spencer, I shouldn’t have burdened you with my insecurities about my body. I don’t normally feel that way about myself, but being… exposed to you has exposed my feelings about my body and… about you too. I don’t think I can live up to your love confession Spence, because you’ve always had a way with words. But I do. I love everything about you. You’re the best human I know, and I’m so deeply in love with who you are.” I confessed.
His beautiful brown eyes were big and wet with tears, framed by long watery eyelashes. He processed everything, and said,
“We might never have a relationship like the one we’ve been playing undercover, but I’d love to be yours, y/n. I’d love to have a relationship with you, something that is uniquely ours, and maybe one day call you my wife.”
“That’s everything I want sweetheart. It’s all I’ll ever need,” I lovingly smiled, before sliding my free hand up past his neck and into the back of his hair. I leaned in, and whispered,
“Can I kiss you baby boy?”
When I saw a slight nod and his open mouth, I went for it. I started slowly, pressing my lips straight to his. His breath was so warm, and I nipped on his lip slightly. A throaty little noise escaped him, so I continued. After a while I pulled his head back gently, and kissed his inviting neck. His strong hands ran all over me, but when a hand came to my stomach I froze. He noticed, and lifted my chin up to look at him with his other hand.
“You’re so soft and hot,” he whispered, with an intense look in his eyes.
I smiled into the kiss I gave him, and held him as close as I could to my body. Just as I was about to nibble on his ear I stopped, not sure if either of us really wanted to go the whole way in these circumstances. I pulled away from the side of his neck to look into his eyes.
“What’s wrong?” He whispered, looking lovesick.
“Spencer, you’re really special to me, you know that right?” I said.
“You’re special to me too.”
“I know, which is why I don’t think we should go any further right now. I want a real relationship with you, and I want our first time together to be special, when we’re not in the back of a truck. Would that be okay?”
“Of course, my love. I want it to be special too, and if it’s anything like those kisses you just gave me I think it will be,” he smiled gently.
“I’m going to kiss you so many times in our lives even you’ll lose count,” I grinned.
“I’ll remember each and every one, and I’ll give them all back to you.”
I laughed. “Who knew Spencer Reid could be such a smooth talker!”
I kissed him again, but more softly and slowly this time.
“Thank you for loving me y/n,” he said sincerely. I got choked up at that, and instead of pouring out my deepest feelings to the man I loved again, I said,
“Thank you for saving my life so I get to love you.”
“We really should try to get some sleep now that we’re warmer,” he said practically.
“You’re right, but we should stay as close as possible. For warmth of course,” I said and winked.
“Of course. Goodnight, my beautiful wifey,” he smiled and kissed my forehead.
A couple of years after Spencer is devastated by the loss of Maeve, he doesn’t believe he will love again and decides to approach his best friend to have children with him. You agree, having always wanted children of your own.

Having a child with your platonic best friend seems like a bad idea. A really, very, catastrophically, bad idea. But I’m desperate to have children, and so is Spencer. I’m the same age as him, and we’re running out of time to do so naturally, which is something both of us want. We are sitting in my living room, or rather our living room now, and talking about how on earth this is going to work.
“The only problem is how much it costs. Just one round of IVF is approximately $12000, and there is only a 25% chance that it works on the first round.” Spencer told me, without the usual animation he delivers his statistics.
I shake my head sadly. “Maybe we should just try to adopt,” I sigh.
“We both know that we won’t be happy until we have children of our own, y/n,” he murmurs.
I sigh once more and nod.
“I know, Spence. I just don’t know how this is going to work.” Thoughts are swirling in my head, everything from the cost of raising a child, let alone IVF; to how my friendship with Spencer is going to change. We’d talked about all of it, parental leave, financial responsibilities, our friendship, everything, but I still worried.
He shifted on the couch to sit closer to me and he took my hand in his, stroking it softly.
“We’re going to be okay, love.” He whispers to me. “We’ve put so much thought into this, we are going to do everything we can to be the best parents we can.” He reassures, and I turn to look at him, feeling calm at the familiar details of his face.
“You’re right.” I sigh and nod.
“You’re not having doubts about doing this with me, are you? I would understand if you still want to try to find a real relationship.”
“Spencer, I want you to be the father of my children. Romance just isn’t going to happen for me soon enough to have kids, and I trust you more than anyone else anyway.” I tell him, and tuck a curl behind his ear.
“I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry for you too.”
“I don’t, it’s not, it’s okay.” He stammers.
“You two would’ve made the smartest kids in the whole world,” I smile weakly, trying to focus on something positive.
He pauses for a moment, and looks at me fondly. “You need to know that I don’t expect you to be her. I want you to be you, because you are an amazing woman, and I want you to be the mother of my kids. You’re my light, y/n.” He confides.
I look into his brown eyes with adoration and wonder what would happen if I pressed my lips against his. Instead, I put my arms around his back and hold onto him, and he hugs me back. He puts his head on my shoulder and I stroke his hair, and I let myself melt against him slightly.
“We’ll figure it out, together.” I whisper, more to myself than him.
“We will.” He pulls back and looks at me. “But from the last time I put money into our baby account, I don’t think we can afford to do IVF and still have enough to raise our kids the way we want to,” he tells me pragmatically.
“You know, there is a solution to this problem. Whether it’s something you’re willing to do, is another thing.” I said.
“You know I’ll do anything to have kids, love.”
I raise my eyebrows, not sure if I even want to suggest it.
“The… traditional way of making babies included?”
He blushes and sits up, his hands moving back to his lap.
“Ah, um, well, I…” He stutters.
“Don’t worry, Spence,” I look away, embarrassed for having brought it up.
“Wait! I mean, we, we can do that. I just don’t want to ruin our friendship by having intercourse with you.”
“You would be okay with that?” I ask in surprise.
“Yeah, I, yes I would.” He averts his gaze. “Would you?”
“I suggested it didn’t I?” I reply, a little too much bite in my tone.
He frowns sadly and I sigh, realising what I’m about to tell him.
“Spencer. You are an attractive man, one whom I care for very much. It won’t be a burden, let’s say that.”
He looks at me with shock. “Do you mean that?”
I nod and make eye contact nervously.
“Oh,” he whispers. “My love, we’ve always communicated well haven’t we?”
“Yes Spence.”
“Can you promise me that if we go ahead with this idea, that you won’t hate me or not want to be friends with me anymore?”
“I promise. I’m not going to let something as trivial as having sex destroy my friendship with the best person I know.” I state with a lot more confidence than I feel.
“Alright. How should we um, prepare?” He asks, fidgeting.
I smile. “We’re not doing it tonight, are we?”
“No! I mean, we don’t have to! You are very fertile right now, that’s all.” He reminds me with another blush.
I cringe in embarrassment, remembering that I had given him access to my period tracking app.
“Right. Well, I guess there’s no time like the present.” I say and bring my forehead close to his.
“Are you sure?” He breathes.
“I’m sure. I trust you,” I respond.
“Can we just, be together, just for tonight? Can I call you mine? I don’t know if I can do this any other way,” he pleads.
I want to tell him that I would be his forever, but I swallow my words and lean forward, pressing my lips against his, and his strong hands come up to hold onto my face. He kisses me back, my hands travelling up his chest and into his hair as our kiss gets more intense. Eventually I pull away for air, gasping deeply.
“Oh, my love,” he pants as we catch our breath. I’d imagined this, and now I had it, if only for a fleeting moment. I push my lips against his, opening my mouth and letting his tongue in with a soft moan. His hands roam down my body, and I tug on his hair as we kiss desperately.
“Spencerrr…” I moan, unable to stop myself as he caresses me. His eyes are wide with desire as we stare at each other. His lips turn up in a sexy little smile, but then he stands up abruptly.
“What’s going on?” I ask.
“Let’s go to bed.” He smiles, holding out his hands to pull me up.
I bite my lip and take his hands, but when I’m standing he puts his arms around me and picks me up. I shriek in delight, and wrap my arms around his shoulders, holding onto him tightly. His eyes light up at my giggly grin and he carries me into my bedroom, and sets me down on the edge of the bed. I look up at him and I feel a lump in my throat, but I ignore it to stand up and begin unbuttoning his dress shirt.
“You’re so beautiful, my love,” he whispers into my ear as his fingers thread through my hair, and I shiver under the warmth of his breath as I make quick work of his buttons. I push the shirt over his shoulders and it falls to the ground, my eyes glancing up and down his slender but strong torso.
“So are you.” I whisper nervously, and I lift my arms up so he can pull my t-shirt over my head. He does so, and immediately slides his arms around my hips, making me excited. I lean forward and kiss him again, my fingers moving over his warm skin eagerly. He plays with the waistband of my sweatpants, and pulls them down when I hum my approval into his mouth. I bring my shaking hands between us and fiddle with the buckle of his belt, but I can’t get it undone, so I reluctantly pull away from our sloppy kisses and look down to see what I’m doing.
“My beautiful love, what’s wrong?” He whispers as I finally get his belt undone.
I look up with a confused frown, then realise how much I’m shaking as I stare into his concerned eyes. I go to answer him, but all that comes out is a sob.
“Oh my sweet girl,” He coos, and strokes his thumb across my cheeks, wiping my tears away. I cry into his chest, coming to the realisation that I can’t do this with him. Not when I love him as much as I do.
He kisses my forehead and whispers,
“Please tell me what you’re thinking, love.”
I shake my head and cry some more, thinking about how good my life could have been if I hadn’t involved my stupid heart.
“I’m here for you, sweetheart. Always.” He says softly, and guides me over to sit down on the edge of the bed. I sniffle and in a whispered hiccup, tell him,
“I can’t do this.”
“I’m sorry I pushed you, we can try again next month if you like.”
I shake my head, and take a deep breath.
“No, Spencer, I mean at all.”
“Oh,” He frowns, looking dejected.
“I want to, I do, but I, I, it hurts too much. I can’t kiss you and have sex with you, and be the mother of your children, knowing that you don’t love me the way that I love you. Because I love you Spence. With everything I am. I’m so so sorry.” I professed, tears spilling down my cheeks again and my heart pounding. I look into his eyes, searching for reassurance.
“Please don’t hate me,” I beg him.
“My love, I could never hate you.” He replies sincerely, his own eyes filling up with tears. He takes a deep breath and he puts his arms around me again, gathering me close to him. He strokes my hair soothingly and he whispers,
“I know that I told you when we first started talking about having a baby that I felt like I could never love anyone after Maeve, but that was a year, ten months and four days ago. I was still grieving. I have fallen deeply in love with you, y/n. Please let me love you entirely, how you deserve to be loved. Be mine forever, my love, because I am forever yours.” He sighs softly as he tells me these incredible words, and leans his forehead against mine.
I stare into his eyes with shock and love, and it quickly turns to happiness as I nod and wrap my arms around his shoulders, holding him close as my tears turn from sorrow to joy.
“Thank you.” I murmur.
“For what?”
“Everything. Just everything.” I tell him with a smile, and kiss him again. “You know, I would really like to get back to it, if you’re okay with that.”
He chuckles and nods, “Let’s make our baby, my beautiful love.” He kisses me back with slow passion, and his hands work on removing my bra.

Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three
Louisa
I opened my apartment door, set down my things and started freaking out about how close I’d gotten to kissing Spencer just then.
“Get a grip Louisa!” I muttered to myself and looked at my reflection in my bedroom mirror. It was inappropriate for me to even be thinking this way while I was caring for him, he didn’t ask for this, he just needs a supportive friend to get him through his illness.I pulled on a sweater and sweatpants so I’d be warm, grabbed the cough syrup I’d picked up for him, and headed back next door. I expected to find him on the sofa waiting for me, but he was standing at the kitchen sink bent over it. I rushed over to him and put my arm around his waist, but then I looked up at his face and saw the red dripping down his chin. And then into the sink where there was more blood. I freaked out, my voice choking up, and in a quiet voice I asked,
“Spence, what’s wrong, what’s happening?”
He was about to answer when he started coughing again, and this time it wasn’t just blood, it was a whole yellow flower head as well. My face sunk in realisation. As much as I wanted to run away and cry, I planted my feet and rubbed his back as he spit out the last of the blood. I turned on the tap and washed it down the sink, leaving a wet flower behind.
“I… I was going to tell you Lou,” he said guiltily.
“How long?”
“Since Seattle.”
I chuckled bitterly but it came out as a sob.He wiped his face with a towel as I just stood there looking at him, my eyes filled up with tears.
“Please say something,” he begged.
“I don’t want you to die!” I yelled. He put his arms around me and I laid my face on his chest.
“I’m so, so sorry angel. I should have done things differently,” he whispered.
“It’s okay Spencer,” I sighed and took his hand, leading him over to the sofa.
“You still want to cuddle with me?”
“Of course sweetie.” I sat. “Head in my lap again?”
“Yes please,” he whispered and scrunched his little nose. I smiled and put the thoughts of his disease out of my mind.
‘At least I know now. That he’s in love with someone else, and it won’t ever be me.’ I thought selfishly. I should enjoy this while he’s still here. And make his exit from life exquisite for him. He deserves at least that.I ran my hand through his hair and he relaxed against me, almost trancelike. At least I can do this for him, even if I’m not the person who could make his symptoms better. As much as I tried not to, I thought about which of his colleagues he might be in love with. I thought back to the times he’d told me about them, trying to recall any signs of love in his speech. If only I had his profiling skills and eidetic memory.
“Lou?” He whimpered, pulling me from the inside of my head.
“Yes?”
“You’re starting to pull my hair a bit tight.”
“Oh, sorry love,” I apologised, blushing and looking into his amber eyes.
“Yeah,” he muttered, staring right back at me.
“I miss you already.”
“I’m going to miss you too, when I’m dead,” he joked.
“Don’t say that. Did you make sure?”
“Make sure of what?”
“That your teammate definitely and absolutely does not return your feelings?” I asked, desperate for him to live.
“What feelings?” He frowned and sat up.
“Your feelings of love Spencer!”
“What?” His eyebrows shot up.
“I just wanted to make sure, because it’s not fair you’re dying just because your colleague doesn’t love you back,” I cried.
“I don’t love one of my teammates,”
“Oh?”
“No.”
“Who, who is it then? Who should I irrationally hate for giving you this illness?” I said, trying to joke to obfuscate from my growing hope.
“I wouldn’t want you to hate yourself,” he whispered.
I froze, my heart in my mouth and my brain flushed with adrenaline.
“You love me?” I finally said, my voice high pitched.
“Lou, I’m in love with you. I’m so sorry, I know it’s not what you want to hear. I’ve taken advantage of your good nature and made you cry as well, I know you only love me as a friend, I’m so sorry Louisa.” He spilled out while tears flowed down my cheeks.
“I could kill you if you weren’t dying.” I choked out.
“I’ve been a terrible friend I know, you should go back to your place and I’ll call…”
“Shut up!” I cut him off. “I’m not crying because you took advantage of me, I’m so glad I could bring you relief from pain even if I didn’t know it. I’m crying because all of your agony could have so easily been avoided if we weren’t so stupid!” I ranted.
“Are you saying?” He whispered hopefully.
“That I am deeply, irreversibly, head over heels in love with you. You’re the only person I could ever love. Between our two apartments you’ve made me a home, you’ve become my home. I adore you Spencer Reid.” I said emotionally.
“Is this real? Are you real?”
“I hope so Spence,” I smiled. I looked over his face.
“Do you feel any different?”
“No, it’s, the pain is still there. It could take a while to have a physical effect I guess.”
“Maybe if we kiss it’ll help?” I asked with a grin.
“It couldn’t hurt to try,” he said and tentatively pressed his soft lips against mine.
“Spencer” I whispered breathily.
“Mm?”
I pulled him in towards me, threading my fingers through his hair again, with my other hand wrapped tightly around his torso. He made a little whimpering sound in the back of his throat and I grinned against his lips. He looked up into my eyes with more love than I’d ever realised was there, and whispered,
“I’m yours Lou.”
I felt another tear forming.
“And I am yours sweetheart.”
I pulled back and looked at him.
“Are you feeling any better now?”
“I hope you’re not just kissing me because you want me to get better,” he joked, but I could tell there was some truth behind it.
“I’m actively trying not to attack you with kisses because of how sick you are,” I said, looking at him intensely.
“I ought to get better soon then.” He smiled.
“Are you? Feeling better?”
“I think I’m starting to, the pain in my lungs has lessened and I don’t feel like coughing so that’s a good sign.”
I breathed a sigh of relief.
“It is. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if you weren’t in my life. I need you darling.” I said tearfully.
“I need you too angel. Need you so much.”
We wrapped ourselves around each other as tight as we could bear, and held on without words for a long while.
Afterwards I pulled back, and said,“I know it’s still afternoon but would you like to go cuddle in bed with me?”
pope. you've never called him pope. always andrew. or andy. that makes him mush.
anything but pope. pope is dangerous. pope is a pawn. pope is at his mother's beck and call. pope isn't good. pope isn't good enough for you.
but andrew? it's a name he rarely hears around his family. but he hears it from your lips, when you hold his face and kiss him. andy, like he's something sweet. like he's deserving of love.
pope is dangerous. andrew is yours. andy is whispered in the dark while he's between your thighs and you're gripping his hair so damn tightly that it makes him whimper.
andrew is devoted to you. wholly and entirely. even without the ring on your finger (stashed in his underwear drawer. you'd say yes, you'd told him so many times before that you'd say yes. he just feels so undeserving), he's so damn devoted to you. like a dog at your beck and call, ready to bite and tear at anybody you want him to.
he needs to be close to you, for his own sanity. he wants you late evenings, after smurf has him doing something. your hand resting on his cheek, a comforting touch even if you think you're doing so little. he wants his name whispered from your lips. andy. not pope. andy.
Louisa is Spencer’s next door neighbor, and when he comes home sick with feverish symptoms she can’t help but to look after him. Spencer has Hanahaki disease and is doing everything he can to hide it from his next door neighbor, who he loves so much it’s killing him.

Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Four
Louisa
I shut the door behind me and went to shower and sleep in my own apartment. I so badly wanted to stay but I knew I’d never get any sleep sitting on the couch looking at him in my lap all night. He seemed to be in so much pain it hurt my soul just to look at him.
‘Surely a flu wouldn’t cause this much pain, would it?,’ I thought. But I tried not to think about what else it could be, because my mind would take me to the worst possible scenario immediately.
‘Maybe he just has a low pain threshold.’ I tried to reason with myself. It didn’t work.
I heard my phone ringing and it woke me up. When I saw who it was I was properly awake bc I knew he wouldn’t call unless it was necessary. I stumbled out of my room, phone in hand, and opened my front door. I got a shock when in front of me was the man who I had assumed was still inside his own apartment, sobbing with the still ringing phone against his face. Without words I pulled the phone out of his hand, hung up, and wrapped my arms around his thin body, wishing hopelessly that I could take some of his pain. I eventually slipped an arm out from around him to open his front door, closed mine and led him back into his apartment. I took him to the sink and brushed his tears off with my thumb, ran a fresh tea towel under cold water and wiped it across the back of his neck and across his forehead. We went back to his room after he took some pain killers and he laid down in bed, exhausted. I sat on the edge and held his hand.
“What happened, my sweetheart?” I asked.
He looked away, obviously not wanting to answer me. I changed pace,“Don’t worry about that. Should I call a home doctor?”
“I am a doctor,” he croaked.
I rolled my eyes, glad he hadn’t lost his sense of humor.
“Whatever you say Dr. Reid,” I smiled. His lips turned up slightly.
“What can I do for you? Do you want me to get you some cough syrup or clean up or something?” I questioned, needing to be useful.
“Just.., please don’t leave me again,” he said in a small voice, and my heart tore.
“Oh honey, I won’t,” I cried. I knew it would be awkward for me to lay next to Spencer but that’s what he needed. I got up and went around to the other side of the bed, and crawled in next to him. I felt self conscious but it didn’t matter, I wanted to look after him. He rolled over slowly so he was facing me, held out his hand for me to hold between our pillows. I took it and gently pulled him closer to me, sliding my other hand underneath the blankets and over his waist. Our legs tangled and the love I felt brought me to tears. We watched each other silently, and I noticed that he seemed to be breathing easier at the moment. I hoped it was because he was getting better, and kept trying to slow my breathing so he would slow his as well.
“Do you think you could try to get some sleep Spence?” I asked.
“I should try,” he whispered.
“Lay your head on me darling,” I blushed, realising how romantic that sounded.
“Thank you. Thank you my angel.”
I blushed even harder, but held his body to mine and stroked his hair. Before I knew it he was asleep, softly snoring, and I was soon to follow.
Spencer
I felt a hand on my shoulder, softly shaking me awake.
“Spence,” she whispered.
“Spence, you need to wake up sweetie.”
I blinked a few times and my eyes adjusted to see Louisa leaning over me, already dressed. It must be later than I realise.
“There’s those beautiful brown eyes,” she smiled.
“Morning,” I groaned.
“How are you feeling this morning?”
“I slept better than I was before. Thank you,” I said, looking away from her.
“You’re very hot.” She blushed.
“From the, um, fever I mean. I’m sorry I had to wake you but I need to know whether I should call out of work today or not.”
“I’m fine. Really, you should go.”
“I don’t know, you were so sick last night. I’d hate for you to take a turn for the worse while I’m not here.”
I love her concern for me, but rolled my eyes,“I’m not a Victorian child dying of cholera or typhoid Lou, I’ll be okay,” I said, concealing the truth.
She smiled at that. Her beautiful little smile that lit up her eyes.
“Okay, okay. I’ll go. But the second you need my help, you call me. You promise?”
“I promise,” I replied, masking my growing pain.
“Alright, well, I’ll quickly finish getting ready and be right back over, okay?” She said.
I nodded, and as soon as she was out the door I was coughing up the small gardenia bulb I’d felt in my chest as I woke up. It was awful, and it hurt even more when I held it off while Lou was around. Just as I was cleaning out the blood from the bowl, she walked back into my apartment and came up behind me, saying,“You shouldn’t be out of bed sweet boy, let me do that.”
“It’s already done,” I protested, thankful that the last of the bloody water had swirled down the sink by the time she looked down.
“I can call my boss right now and tell her I can’t work today and she’ll understand,” she said.
"Louisa Elizabeth, you will do no such thing,” I told her, with more strength than I felt.
She sighed.
“Okay, but will you please rest and look after yourself.”
“I will.”
She looked at me with an intense worried look and hugged me tightly. I hugged back and sighed at the respite from pain her embrace gave me, but she pulled away and picked up her work bag.
“Bye Spencer,” she said.
“Bye my beautiful angel,” I whispered after she left.
I did my best to ignore the pain I was in, but it was getting worse and not having Lou around made it hard to distract myself. I read some books I’d had on my to-read list for a long time, figuring I should do that before my imminent death. I wrote and rewrote the worst letter I’d ever send to my poor mother, but I had no idea where to even begin. I went back to bed, and I thought about my life, the people in it I’d be leaving behind. I should talk to JJ and Morgan before I get much worse. I made a mental list of things I needed to deal with. Funeral arrangements, my will, et cetera. I’d always found the tasks of every day adult life difficult to comprehend, and it seems death was no different. I hope Louisa can help me. I so badly want to tell her. Maybe I should, maybe even if she doesn’t love me romantically her friendship means she might help me die peacefully anyway. Finding out might be upsetting though, she would probably find it weird and disgusting that I love her romantically, and she wouldn’t want to hold me or sleep in the same bed again. I tossed and turned in my thoughts and in bed, unable to make a decision or get comfortable. After another round of coughing and hacking up what were now small flowers, I collapsed into bed and fell asleep. It couldn’t have been more than three hours before I woke up again, in tears and desperate to get the blood and flowers out of my lungs. I ran myself a warmish bath, and slid in, letting myself prune. I had the bowl over the edge of the bath so I could cough into it instead of the bath water. I must have lost track of time because I heard Lou calling out my name. I was frightened out of my stupor and stood up, but far too quickly considering the amount of blood I’d been losing, and I fell back into the bath with a splash.
“Spencer! What happened?! Do you need help?” Lou called out.
“No,” I groaned. I probably did but I didn’t want her to see me like this, all wet and pathetic. And naked.
“Okay well I’m staying here until you come out of there and prove to me that I shouldn’t call an ambulance,” she said.
“I’m, I’m fine,” I said, carefully getting out of the bathtub and drying myself off. I tipped the blood down the sink and quickly pulled on my clean boxers before stumbling out the room.
“Hey sweetheart, you alright?” Lou asked with a flush to her cheeks.
“Hmm.” I mumbled, shaking my head to dry my hair. I hugged her tightly, needing the relief from pain her touch gave me. She stroked her fingers up and down my back soothingly, whispering,“I’m here, I can look after you now.”
Her words and breath made me shiver, but I loved it. She broke the hug and looked at me.
“You look pale Spence,” she frowned and then went to my cupboard and pulled out a soft t-shirt. She gently threw it at me and went to the bathroom and came back with a towel.
“Your hair is still wet honey, it’s not good for you,” she said as she held the towel up and dried my hair.
Despite still being a little cold my face felt hot at this intimate action, and how close she was standing to me sitting on the bed.
“My precious little love,” she whispered.I gulped, looking up at her. She stared into my eyes, but then shook her head like she was shaking herself out of a daze.
“Can we please cuddle on the sofa again?” I asked.
“Of course my sweet. Let me just go get into something comfy at mine and I’ll be back before you know it.”
Just thinking about how Pope is so in tune with your body, even more than you are. Your smell, your taste. Pope loves your body. Actually worships it. Each time he sees you getting dressed, in the shower, etc, his mouth waters. Sometimes you need to tell him to dial it back because you think he’s staring through your skin down to your bones. Like he’s taking an X-ray with his eyes.
You’re self conscious after your baby, the way your body has changed. But Pope traces each stretch mark, grabs at your plush belly, massages the dimples in your thighs. It was this very body that gave him his daughter. He was in absolute awe of it.
So when you’re fooling around, your daughter asleep in the next room, he’s wasting no time in ravishing you.
A. Because he knows just as well as anyone, you both can be interrupted by parenthood at any moment.
B. He just flat out inpatient .
His hands are all over. Grabbing, squeezing, scratching at your supple skin. Cupping his hands around your full breasts. He would like to thank God personally for how they look now that you’re breastfeeding. As a matter of fact, perhaps he’ll latch on, drinking what tastes like nectar from Heaven above, pulling soft moans from your already swollen lips.
He kisses down your body. Your belly, your hips, your thighs, but when he swipes his tongue up your slit he freezes.
“Andrew? What’s wrong?” You sit up, trying to pull your legs together as he holds you open. “I didn’t get a chance to shower this morning— I’m sorry. I’ll go shower.”
You try and get up but he pushes you back down again, takes another taste of your cunt. If anything, Pope prefers you don’t shower before sex. Says you smell and taste better.
“Baby…” he groans, looking up at you as if he’s seen a ghost.
“What is it Andy? You’re scaring me.”
“Are you pregnant?”
“Preg—What are you talking about?”
“You taste different, not bad— but different.”
“So that automatically means I’m pregnant?”
“You taste the same as you did when you were pregnant with Juliette. You have a test?”
“I think so? But I don’t get my period for another 6 days. There’s no way anything will show up.”
“Well my tongue is saying it’s positive. Go check.”
You cackled, but hesitantly walked towards the bathroom, digging some old tests out of your drawer. Maybe your boobs have felt more sore lately? And your eggs this morning tastes too… too eggy?
Andrew is sitting on the bed, head leaning against the headboard as he stares into nothingness as he often does. He jumped as the bathroom door swung open. You standing there, pale as a sheet.
“It’s positive. Andrew it’s fucking positive.” You cupped your hand over your mouth to suppress whatever was rising in your chest. A laugh? A sob? Jury’s still out on that one.
Andrew took the test, and clear as day, two pink lines staring back at him.
He stared at you, trying to read your reaction, but he wasn’t entirely sure. Your pupils were blown wide, the thoughts running through your head a mile a minute. Should be he be congratulated you? Should he be apologizing to you?
“Andrew, I don’t get my period for another 6 days and the line on this test is darker than the test I took with Juliette when I was 5 days late.”
“What does that mean?”
“My HCG is really high.”
“What does that mean?”
Twins. That’s exactly what it means.
It’s because you’re pregnant with twins.
Two more girls.
And 3 years later, you’d find yourself in the same situation. Andrew’s tongue testing positive before you even peed on a stick. Pregnant with yet another girl. Much to your dismay, this one being born on your bathroom floor. But Pope delivered Deran on the floor of a gas station bathroom, at that point he was a pro.

Pope stands in the office looking as out of place as a preschooler at a bar. His sunglasses stay on, head held high, and ignoring the glances he keeps getting from the lady running the front desk.
The buzzer to the main entrance rings out, and Pope’s shoulders slouch as Lena walks over with a school nurse following.
“What happened?” Pope asks the seven year old girl who sheepishly looks down.
“I felt sick in class..” She mutters quietly, not looking at her uncle. He frowns and glances at the nurse who looks just as lost as he is.
“Did you eat something?” Pope asks.
Lena mutters something that he can’t make out. He frowns, dropping the interrogation for now. “Let’s get you home..” He sighs, already grabbing at her bookbag so she knows to give it to him. She shrugs off the bag and follows him out to his car.
The ride home is silent and for once, the quiet worries Pope. He steals glances at Lena in the backseat of his car, watching with hands gripping the steering wheel as the little girl keeps her big brown eyes glued to the passing scenery outside her window.
As soon as they’re pulled into Pope’s driveway, he’s already making his mind up over who to call.
Y/N.
She was a newly hired medic at the underground center he fought at. Something about their first ever meeting had stuck with him. Now, he only trusted her to patch him up. And.. He definitely trusted her around Lena. He moves around the car, getting Lena out and carrying her inside as he practices in his head how he’s going to call Y/N.
“Can I lay on the couch?” Lena asks, voice soft. Pope pauses. He’s no expert, but he’d been on his way to instantly put Lena in bed, assuming she’d rather her comfortable mattress instead. But he doesn’t argue with her. He sets her on the couch and instantly grabs a throw blanket for her and tucks her in, wanting her completely snugged.
“Can I watch tv?” Lena asks innocently, looking up at Pope. He hums and hands over the remote.
“Nothing inappropriate..” He says. She nods certainly, smiling a bit as she gets comfortable. He watches her worriedly as he backs away outside into the backyard so he can openly make his phone call.
The phone rings a good two to three times before it stops. Shuffling is heard on the other end. “Andrew?” Y/N asks gently. Pope sighs shakily at hearing her voice. He doesn’t speak for a moment.
Crap, he forgot the script he’d planned out in his head…
“I need…” He pauses and clears his throat roughly. There’s a long pause. As if he’s rethinking his sentence.
Rethinking this call.
Last time he spoke to Y/N, she made it very clear that she liked him. Had kissed him good luck before his fight that night. And that kiss… His brain had damn near short circuited because of that kiss.
He didn’t know kissing could be so… Intimate.
“Need what, Andrew?” Y/N asks slower now, wanting him to remember how she’d told him multiple times before, him reaching out wasn’t a bother.
“It’s Lena.” He finally says. “She’s..” He paces his backyard a bit. “Sick.” He says. “I… I need you to.. I need you to fix her.” He finally mutters.
Y/N smiles a bit at the terminology used but.. He was getting the hang of it, at least. “I’ll be there in 15..” She assures certainly.

“Stick out your tongue. Say ‘ahh’…” Y/N smiles as Lena sheepishly does just that. The young girl had been so excited to see Y/N when she first got here, but when she saw the med duffle bag on her shoulder, she’d instantly grown quiet again.
“Hm..” Y/N mumbles softly as she turns the flashlight off. Pope paces the area behind the couch. “What was hurting again?” She asks gently. She’s only known Lena for maybe two weeks now. Hell, she’s only known Pope for about a month, but she was instantly getting the gist of what was actually going on here..
“My stomach…” Lena mumbles, her voice so soft and quiet it actually melts Y/N’s heart. She nods for the young girl to continue. “And… My head.” She says slower.
“Anything else?” Y/N asks curiously.
“My… Throat.” Lena says, watching Y/N closely. It was almost like Lena was hoping to see if Y/N was buying this or not. “And my… Uh…” Lena shifts a bit.
“You think maybe your fingers too?” Y/N suggests, scrunching her nose a bit as if understanding the pain. It was a trap though. And when Lena nods fast, she knows she’s got her.
“Okay. I’m gonna talk to your uncle real quick, honey. You rest.” Y/N says. Lena nods and settles back down on the couch.
Y/N steps outside with Pope following close behind. “What’s the plan? Hospital?” He asks instantly after shutting the sliding glass door. Y/N presses her lips together as she turns to face him fully.
“I… Andrew, I don’t think Lena is sick..” Y/N begins softly.
“What? Of course she’s sick, she said she’s sick.” Pope says as if that’s the only evidence needed.
“Yeah. She said she’s sick, but.. She has no temperature, no flushed cheeks, no irritability..-” Y/N lists gently.
“My niece is not a liar.” Pope says quickly, instantly getting defensive. Y/N doesn’t even blink. Most would shudder at his tone of voice. His dark eyes.
She didn’t.
Because she knew who was standing in front of her right now. And it wasn’t Pope. It was Andrew.
Y/N knew only two things about ‘Pope Cody’. It was rare she got to see him outside of the cage. He could be dangerous, and he was quick to anger.
But she also knew a lot about ‘Andrew Cody’. The main two things being he’s a good man.
And he’d never even dream of hurting her.
She softly steps closer, placing a hand hovered above his chest as he reels himself back in. “I’m sorry.” He mutters. She gently touches his chest only when he gives a very slight nod to do so.
“I’m not calling Lena a liar.” She assures softly. “But… I am saying her symptoms are making no sense. And that maybe she wanted to come home for a different reason.” Y/N says simply.
“Like what?” He asks, completely lost now.
“Well… Why don’t you ask..?” Y/N suggests gently. Pope hesitates for a second before nodding. He steps back inside, finding Lena engrossed in her cartoons.
“So… Good news is it’s not bad. What you have..” Pope begins. Lena looks over at her uncle and her eyes narrow slightly.
“That’s good..” She says quietly, hands kneading at the blanket on her. Pope walks over to sit on the edge of the couch by her.
“Bad news is… You aren’t sick.” He says gently. “Are you..” He whispers as he watches her face. She opens her mouth fast to defend herself before just giving up on the lie now, her bottom lip trembles. Pope wants to end the conversation right here. Apologize for upsetting her, assure her that he believes her. But he stays strong.
“I’m sorry I lied..” She gives in. Lena was a good kid. Pope knew this was probably crushing her to lie.
“Why? What happened?” Pope asks quietly. “I… Roo…” He seems at a loss of words honestly. She sits up more, staring down at her hands.
“I…” She sighs. “I had a quiz...” Lena finally admits and Pope blinks a bit, shoulders slumping in relief that it wasn’t anything like a bully situation. He didn’t wanna have to attack a kid..
“A quiz?” He asks. She nods fast.
“Science.” She sighs. “I wasn’t ready, so I… Said I was feeling sick. I’m so sorry, Uncle Andrew..” She says as she finally looks up at him with her brown eyes already glossy with tears. She always resembled a puppy when she did that. And it always melted Pope to bits.
“Why didn’t you just tell me the truth?” He asks.
“I thought you’d make me go back into school..” She admits sheepishly. He chuckles at that.
“Roo… I am the last person to force someone into school.” He snorts, remembering his childhood before shaking his head. “I mean… You are smart. You can, and will, handle school.” He quickly corrects as she looks down with a soft frown.
“But..” He continues as she looks up at him again. “Everyone deserves at least one sick day.” He nods, letting her know she’s not in trouble. She sighs in relief and quickly wraps her arms around his neck to hug him. He smiles slightly as he holds her close.
“But you will be studying for that quiz. And I’ll help you.” Pope adds. She groans at that, tossing her head back. “You thought those eyes were gonna make me forget? Nope. Go get the text book.” He smirks as she playfully pouts getting up from the couch.
She pauses though. “Can Y/N stay? To help me study?” She asks hopefully. Pope pauses and looks towards the glass sliding door at Y/N.
She’s standing by the pool, arms around herself as she gives them the space needed to work this out. He smiles a bit. The last time they saw each other, they spent the entire night just kissing. It was the best Pope has felt since… Well, since first getting custody of Lena..
Lena smiles as she watches her uncle watch Y/N. He notices and chuckles a bit. “I’ll ask. You go get your bag.” He says. She giggles and runs off to her room.
Pope walks over and opens the sliding glass door. Y/N looks over. “All good?” She asks.
“It was a quiz. She was nervous to take it. Tried to get out of it..” Pope explains softly as Y/N walks over to him, chuckling softly.
“Classic move.” She nods, understanding.
“It is?” Pope asks.
“Yeah. You never acted sick as a kid to get out of something?” She asks and he shifts a bit on his feet before simply shaking his head. She hums softly.
“I told her I’d help her study.” He explains. Y/N nods at that, assuming that’s her cue to leave until he continues. “If you…” He looks down. “If you wanna stay, you can.. Help us both. It’s science.” He admits. She chuckles softly at that and bites her lip as she moves a bit closer to him.
“I can happily help teach you and Lena science.” She teases softly as he smiles sheepishly. She eyes him as she slowly wraps her arms around his neck. He instantly grips her waist. It’s second nature to him at this point.
“You know,” She begins. “All these favors, and I’m still waiting for an actual date..” She points out playfully.
Pope smiles slightly at that as he somewhat looks away. “Think you can… Take a sick day tomorrow, then?” He finally asks softly.
Y/N paused for a split second before she giggles softly. “You know… Now that you mention it..” She trails off as she looks up at him and makes a show of timidly covering her mouth. She begins to fake cough before over-dramatically batting her eyelashes at him. “I might be coming down with something.” She whispers.

andrew needs control. he wants everything neat and straight. he's particular about order and routines. he needs everything to go as planned, always. he sits with a rigid back, he cuts the crust of sandwiches, his clothes are perfectly ironed. he speaks just the right and necessary words, he's careful with his tone.
but andrew is also tired. of constantly overthinking, worrying, cleaning anxiously his traces during a job. of being relied on. of the pressure to have everything in place, to always have a plan, the fear of messing up and going back to the slammer for the tiniest mistake.
andrew loves control. being controlled, actually. being told what to do, turning off his brain, submitting, made all soft and complying, taking it all without complaining. falling to his knees, worshipping, melting under hands petting his hair, touching him all over. fingers of one hand sliding past his lips while the other one closes around his neck firmly, steadying and exciting.
and sweet andrew loves to say please and i'm sorry. he cums too fast, too messy, it makes him anxious and dirty but he just can't help it. he craves praise, being told how he's such a good boy, an obedient puppy, so easy to break and lead around, so eager to please and be the best and make you proud.
he cries so much around you. he's a glass perfectly filled to the top, waiting for the smallest push to pour all over. he wants to be cleaned up, picked up from the floor, be cared for and understood. to lay his head on your lap and be told everything it's okay. he's not bad, he's not sinful or unclean. even though you both know that's not true.
sweet, gorgeous and broken andrew guards you like a dog, comes at your command and sits at your feet. he looks up at you with beautiful pleading eyes, freckles blending with flushed skin and dried blood at his cheeks. you scare him and make him feel safe, make him feel useful and helpless at the same time. and he wouldn't want it any other way.
