~Part 1~

~+Reid+~

   Everything was going good and in my favor at the BAU. All until I heard that we were getting a new member to the team and that she's even younger than me. Maybe it was only by a year and a half but something about this information made me feel, for lack of a better word, jealous? I've noticed these emotions coming up in other people but I've never really felt this way before. Sure, possibly a few times when I was a little kid and my classmates would talk to other kids their own age; however, I wouldn't even call that jealousy. It was more of a determined feeling with hopes to prove myself worthy in my own academics. Now that I mention it maybe I do feel jealous since I am most definantly determined to prove myself as worthy when it comes to this random girl forcing her way into our BAU.

--- one month later ---

   This being said, as she's been making herself almost too comfortable, I've been handling it pretty well. At least that's what I've thought so far. The others? Not so much.

"Hey pretty boy. What's gotten you so worked up today?" Morgan said. "What? oh..yeah uhm nothing. no. wh- why do you ask" I said a bit too quickly to seem believable. Sadly Morgan responded accordingly, "woah woah woah slow down there Reid. I'm just curious. You've seemed off since Vale's joined that's all, but if you say nothings wrong then nothings wrong." 

As I nodded in hopes of reassuring I noticed Valeria walking towards her desk and my eyes couldn't help but to follow her movements. My heart started beating faster and harder with each second that I laid my eyes on her. This is the one thing that I'm sure of.. this must be jealousy. 

--- Later that day in the jet on the way to Jacksonville, Florida ---

This case had been messing with the team and I a bit more than usual. The unsub hasn't left a very clear signature so we haven't been sure it was even the same person since right before we agreed to leave for Jacksonville.

~Part 2~

I had never thought of myself as a genius–well, not until I started school. I suppose, only since everyone categorizes me as it due to my high iq of 177, I may as well be referred to as one.

   Once I officially started my education I quickly excelled and was able to skip multiple grades. This brought me awkwardness fulfilled by the other kids at my educational level being far older than me; however, I was, luckily, only in classes for anywhere from a month to a semester since I didn't need much time to master the contents of each subject. This not only made me an outsider, on the bright side, it made me extremely wanted by schools all around the world just in time for me to seek higher education than just elementary through high school. The abundant amount of scholorships I aquired gave me the opprutunity to go to any college I wanted to go to for free. I continued school for just long enough for me to gain three PhDs. I obtained one in forensic science, another in psychology, and my third in criminology. The combination of  these made me a perfect fit for what I wanted to pursue right as I was about to turn twenty-two, making me the youngest in my career of forensic profiler at the BAU in Quantico. 

   As I walked into the office on my first day of the job I was welcomed by many warm greetings after introducing myself to the team. It was like I entered a whole new world of opportunities. "hey I'm Penelope Garcia. You can call me whenever you need help with something involving high tech or tracking someone down. It's great to meet you!" I smiled at her and waved awkwardly. "What's up? You can call me Morgan sorry if babydoll here is being a bit much. She gets excited when meeting new people." My once intruiged smile dropped in confusion as soon as I realized he had refered to Garcia as 'babydoll', but that was only met with a smile shared between the two and an additional giggle from Morgan, which only left me a tad bit more curious than before. After a majority of the rest of the crew introduced themselves there was only one person I hadn't met yet... Reid.

   "And you are?" I spoke in the direction of the, seemingly closer to my age than I had anticipated, boy. "Oh uh yeah.." He cleared his throat "Sorry. I'm Dr. Spencer Reid. Uhm You can just call me Reid I guess." He mumbled. "Well it's nice to meet you Dr. ... Reid." I said in an unsure manner. The ignorance he seemingly had shocked me considering he's a doctor and all that. How could someone who must have worked as hard as me and as quick as me seem so out of it and uninvolved in the situation. It was all suprising  especially since I was a new hire and I'd assume someone would want to get to know who they'd be working with in such a tight knit team. I could only imagine that he was like this all the time if he makes an important first impression like this.
