You notice that he seems different lately, and you decided to ask him about it.

It's been a while since Phainon was acting weird, lacking in that usual playfulness and goofy attitude, was he always this silent and distant before?

He's been through a lot, you understand. But that change of behavior doesn't go unnoticed. After all, it's weird to see someone so appreciative of every food he ate are now eating his favorite food in silence instead of grinning happily and talking with his mouth full like a hungry chipmunk, or that he becomes a bit touchier than usual. Even now, he always keep a hand close to whatever part of your skin.

And now, he's cuddling with you, nuzzling his head restlessly on your neck, then goes to your chest. That's when you decided to ask..

"You seemed a bit restless lately, everything's good?"

His hands that currently caressing your skin twitches slightly, before he decided to respond with a small smile.

"I didn't, what do you mean?"

He chose to act denial, it seems.

A small sigh escaped your lips, your hand starts to reach out and pet his shoulder gently.

"You know what I mean, Phainon"

You decided to gaze at him in the eyes, trying to read whatever his expression tells right now, but Phainon takes your hand and places it on his cheek.

"I can't really feel your touch there, if you want to touch, do touch my head"

He smiles sheepishly, making you confused. He used to love it so much when you rub his shoulder..

"I guess I can't keep it to myself for too long, don't want to make you worry so much about me.."

Phainon relishes the feeling of your hands on his cheeks, nuzzling his head slightly and leaning on your palms.

"I recently realized that my sense of touch is a bit weakened"

You can't help but fell silent at his words, unsure what to say.... Instead, reaching out to pet his hair, coaxing him to continue. Phainon smiles softly before continuing speaking.

"Really.... I can't really feel anything with my hands, and also... the rice pudding we ate earlier? The taste is almost bland too.... I think my body starts to function in weird way since I got this power"

You can't help but feel sad for him, he already had so much on his plate, bearing the fate of Amphoreus and everyone's hope on his tired shoulders... and now, this..

You held him tightly, cradling his head and pressed your lips all over his face, making him laugh softly.

"Hey, what's that for?" He asked as you continue to kiss his face with somber expression.

"Give you the comfort you need, what else?" You mumbled softly, pulling him to your chest. He sighed in contentment and nuzzled your skin, pressing his lips lazily.

"It's alright, at least my head is not as numb as the other parts of my body...means I can still feel your lips on me~" He winked, making you roll your eyes at his playful remarks.

"Noted, I'll make sure to pay more attention to your head, then" You huffed softly and shakes your head in fondness.

"Please do, it helped me so much" He mumbled while giving you another nuzzle on your chest.

He then wrapped his arms around your waist, shifting closer to you as if your presence is the only one that can anchor whatever remains of his shredding sanity.

He hopes that one day, if he truly lost himself... he hopes that he'll at least remember your warmth that belongs to him and his only.

In which your puppy like partner starts to develop a new personality that apparently he had a bit of hard time controlling them

Warning : Headcanon, slight angst but fluff, insecurities (not the reader)

- Only god knows where he gets such a world destroying power while managed to keep them in bay most of the time

- You were the first one he tried to convince that he's fine and he could control 'that' form so there's nothing to worry about, he's scared to make you scared, of him..

- But his switching personality does add spice to your relationship

- He was pretty good at controlling his emotions, but since he got that demiurge power? He finds himself struggling... a bit, he feels so much rage coursing through him and he has to constantly keep them at bay

- It can be funny because he became easily provoked and sometimes can't help but be pissed off by something (which works like mood swings or some sort) but it's sad to see him so restless just by keeping his emotion in check

- As a result, he became touchy, he already is. But this time worsened by ten folds

- Your presence is what calms him down, and he's aware of it, that's why he always keeps a hand on whatever part of your body he can touch (hands, waist, shoulder, your preferences..) to anchor every bit of his shredding sanity

- His body ran warmer now, making him a perfect cuddle buddy, and he can get to be close with you, so it's kind of great deal

- As for the rest? He's still your usual Phainon, he still does whatever it takes to make you safe and happy

- but now, with a bit of "I'll burn the world for you" determination..... And please, keep him from burning the world away

- What about Phainon's side?

- He feels troubled, no one can truly tell and describe what he felt, but he certainly looks worried all the time

- What if he scared you? What if he ended up hurting you with his hands? Even if it's just a thought, he couldn't forgive himself to even think about it

- He sighed as he pick you up and search for a shrine to spend his night, or at least until you're awake, and thank God it didn't took a long time for you to regain consciousness

What it's like to have a relationship with your own trusted partner a.k.a Sidekick?

I'm not quite sure but he prefers that no one knows about your relationship, he doesn't think he's ready to accept all of those teasing from the others that would make him blushing mess ( I really made him shy in this one aren't I?)

But at the same time, he wants to brag about it, because he adores you and respects you at the same time, it would be a honor for him if the feelings are mutual

He will never forget the day when you show your best performance in front of everyone, the moment when you fought the villains badass -ly and still manages to save everyone unscathed

He always offers himself to accompany you everywhere, he just likes being by your side so much, he wants to see you in action as much as possible, he even offers to fly you everywhere you want

But he loves competitions too, he always makes a little bet with you, like who's got to save civilians more, or whose the fastest one who got to the crime scene first, etc..

He never let anyone underestimate him, especially you, he would never let you down and thinks that he would stay as your forever sidekick, and maybe one day, he could actually surpass you

He wants to be a hero that stands by himself, not behind someone's name, and you cannot help but support him right??

On days off, he'd like to spend his time with you, privately preferably.... He cannot let anyone see him in such a lovey dovey state, it would affect your reputation and he cannot risk that for sure

It's actually because you're acting strange lately, and you get called by the Commission more often than usual, there's one time that he slips one of his red Feathers inside your pocket (or an equipment pouch if you have any on your costume) and 'accidentally' overheard everything that happens on the meeting

His eyes are widened when he hears about your mission details, infiltrate their base? Gain their trust and information gathering? Form prevention strategies? All by yourself?

And of course you accept it without any hesitation, no matter what the risk is, you're ready to sacrifice anything, your life included.

At that moment, he really wanted to barge in and drag you out of there, of course he cannot let you do such a thing, especially when you have to act individually

And he's actually trying to stop you from going, and even tells you that he's the one who should have become a spy instead of you, saying that your life is more precious than himself....

You assure him that there's nothing to worry about, everything will be fine if you stick to the plan and instructions from the commission, and rush yourself in a hurry, not wanting him to see your redden eyes.... Leaving him alone with guilt that struck your heart like a lightning

"It'll be fine..... I promise I'll be back soon, oh... And take care of yourself, I'll leave the agency on your hand, bye!! "

And of course, being a perceptive person he is, he knew right away that you made an empty promise that you don't even know whether you are able to fulfill it or not, but you're already left before he could say anything....

And the moment you leave, it leads to the battle against Dabi the villain, four months later....

His Blue flame could burn everything to ash, and it almost burned your life too, sadly, at the time he was about to take your life with the final blow, Hawks dashing in to save you with his utmost speed

He doesn't even think about fighting back, your safety is his priority, and the best he could do now is save you and retreat, then aid endeavor, that's the best decision for sure

(If you are wondering why he could arrive at endeavor's place, it is probably because he's not that badly injured, and his wings are fine and well and not burned down like the canon one)

As for you, it's bad, like... Really bad, the doctor says that you might never fully recover from the injuries, and they even recommend you to retire and focus on your rehabilitation instead of pushing yourself to go further...

He became more protective after the raid , he rarely left your side, afraid that something might happen if he let you go again

He often traces your scar gently with his bare hand, always saying that he regrets the fact that he's not fast enough to save you back then, and he shed a tear sometimes

There's a time when he would hop on the patient's bed or- technically your bed and hug you tightly ( of course he would be very careful and avoid the medical device) and cover you up with his Fiery red Wings

He swore that he'll never let you go, just like back then, he'll protect you no matter what, and he will always be by your side till he closes his eyes forever
