He had been to many different worlds - times, he supposed - working as a Time Patroller - but never a place quite like this. 

There was no rift here, no distortion that he was supposed to be fixing, but Goha had found himself drawn to the forest all the same. A forest that... should have just been like any other forest he had been to. A place filled with woodland beasts and beating wings as birds took to the sky and yet... the first thing he noticed when he stepped beneath the boughs of the looming trees was how silent it was.

It wasn’t empty. He could feel eyes watching him. It was just that... they were quiet. The animals were quiet. They were hiding. They were... smart.

They were protected.

Part of him wondered if he should have felt scared at the thought, but a strange sense of calm and peace just seemed to pervade his very being. The urge to press forward and go back push at him in equal parts and the former was the one that won out, resulting in him threading quietly through the underbrush of the woods as he made his way towards the center of the forest. (Of course, quiet was relative, and was a near cacophony when compared to the silence that otherwise surrounded him.)
