Looking north on Cabrini Blvd. Castle Village apartments up the hill to the left. The near apartments at the lower left were demolished in the following decade when they added highway ramps to the GWB (George Washington Bridge), the Cross Bronx Expressway ( Route 95) and the Henry Hudson Parkway.

Muted Reflections by Robert Birkby
Bakers who knead the dough are not striking because they need more dough but because their union label does not appear on all breads. They are asking, in English and Yiddish, that no one buy bread without the union label. The demonstration took place at 7th Street and Avenue B, August 16, 1929.
