Your Spider-Noir art is to die for, omg!!! I love the way you draw Ben, he’s so meow meow 🥺
Thank you💜 Ben's wet cat energy is unmatched. What a guy.
Been watching Spider-Noir and I think the one very important but often forgotten thing they got right is that nobody in this show has iPhone Face. Casting department for the extras and supporting roles deserves a raise, because they really nailed the 40s Character Actors look. Lotta faces on this show that look like they were made from Play-Doh and I mean that as a compliment. There's some real mugs, thugs, bulldogs, wet rats, weirdos and GOONS in the people's faces in this crowd. "Whateva you say, boss" and "you wants it to hurt, boss?" henchmen so classically rectangular we're reclaiming the word GOON tonight. Even the little street kids look like winos.
I'm utterly obsessed with the faces of the actors playing the lovely couple in Episode 2 (Tread Lightly) in whose flat Reilly goes to recuperate old stuff of his: she is beautiful but with a very wide, very angular face, whereas his is elungated and narrow. Separately it wouldn't be so noticeable but together they clash and complete each other amazingly. They look like they've be drawn from a comic and I love it.

Lawrence of Arabia Nails Hair Hips Heels edit for the masses
why do they always act so yaoi,,,,,, freaks,,,
In honor of this comic getting 10 000 views (!!!) in my dART gallery, I present you a slightly remastered version of Prof. Javert’s lesson on stalking.
I’m not happy with some of the art anymore, but got to admit, I do still like the joke…
"why does it have to always be about knights?" because there's nothing hotter than a hulking mass of metal who could kill me with a flick of his wrist but instead gets on his knees and trembles as he restrains himself from begging for my touch. i'm not going to get that from some fur trader or councilor, am i?
Sansa, probably.

seeing people completely misunderstand stannis's character on reddit is pissing me off. stannis doesnt fundamentally want glory and power. he doesn't even particularly want to be king. he's not slighted by robert giving him dragonstone because he's too dumb to realize that it was traditionally the seat of targaryen heirs or whatever.
stannis more than anything else wants to be loved and respected by his brother robert. that's it. the burning core of insecurity before robert's death comes from the fact that his big brother chose ned over his actual brother, despite holding out a siege for him, despite everything. robert passing over stannis and giving storm's end to renly is about stannis feeling unacknowledged for his loyalty to his big brother, despite everything stannis does.
stannis is not a fundamentally hard and cold person. he's someone who'll nurse an injured goshawk back to health because he feels it's right. stannis lives in a world where he's told that in order to be a man you must be cruel; in order to be a falconer you must cast aside your beloved goshawk; in order to win a war you must kill your brother; in to save the world you must kill a bastard boy.
the tragedy of stannis is that everyone misunderstands him as iron, thinking he'll break before he bends. but stannis constantly bends. he bends over the sacrifice of edric storm between the counsel of mel and davos. he bends to davos' advice to go north beyond the wall. the thing about stannis is that he doesnt even much like the idea that he's azor ahai (r'hllor picks strangely, he says). but deep down he is that sad sullen boy that cressen once knew, and he wants to believe that he is the chosen. and the thing about prophecy is that it twists you into someone worse. this is why jon and dany are the heroes in a way stannis can't be: because in pursuing the prophecy that mel tells him about, stannis feels compelled to make decisions 'for the greater good' that will ultimately corrupt him and take him away from the path of justice.
but isn't that what it means to be a "hero" according to the people who make these myths? azor ahai, plunging a sword into his wife's heart, watering the blade with her blood? isn't the notion of a "hero" always about sacrifice for the greater good? maybe that's why stannis can't be the true hero of a song of ice and fire, just like rhaegar, because to hear the prophecy is to be made worse by it.
robert baratheon's small council was hysterical actually:
• old ass father figure
• boybestfriend's wife's weird incel friend
• lannister boot licker maester
• the most influential spy in the world who definitely cannot be trusted
• hated repressed younger brother
• hedonistic teenage gay brother as master of laws (??)
• secret targaryen loyalist
