My Daily Stir

I am clueless…clueless about gardening. I am clueless about many other subjects, but let’s just stick to gardening for the moment. I don’t want to embarrass myself too much.

When I got the urge to plant a garden, I did not expect gardening to be such a frustrating undertaking. Gardening requires a substantial amount of foreknowledge in the subject of botany. It also helps if you happen to be blessed with a green thumb.

My garden is struggling to say the least. My onions have suffered the most.

I have named the above photo, “Onion Graveyard.” As you will see in the next photo, there are just a few tall, green tops, but there should be three rows of onions (where the blank space is now).

I do not even think weeds want to grow in my garden. I am sure you can see the two little guys popping up in the above photo, but, for the most part, the weeds have stayed away. I do not know how I managed that incredible feat. Maybe there is something chemically wrong with the soil? I would not know though…I am new at this gardening thing. I apologize to the garden experts out there who will see these dastardly photos. Maybe you have some advice for me? Please Share!

At least I can grow wildflowers…
