❤︎ earlier bedtime + reading before bed

❤︎ warm drinks before bed (i LOVE chamomile milk tea before bed with a bit of honey and cinnamon)

❤︎ watching my comfort movie (the princess diaries)

❤︎ yoga/going on long walks instead of my regularly scheduled workout routines (i like to do my yoga/lay out in the sun to get some vitamin D and just feel the warmth on my skin, its nice)

❤︎ scheduling massages, manicures/pedicures, facials... just to kind of make me feel like myself again and refresh

❤︎ EXFOLIATION. for some reason exfoliating feels like shedding old skin to me, when i feel that soft soft skin after, it just feels like i shed something that was holding me back

❤︎ social media cleanse. this means no tiktok, tumblr, twitter, even no watching the news for 2-3 days

❤︎ i pull out my journal and write manually. there's something about paper that just feels so human and back-to-the-basics. its so so comforting

to ensure that im not rotting but resting, i give myself adequate time to rest so i can still stay on track with my goals and aspirations. typically when i feel like i need to rest i give myself 2-3 days. when i actually designate the time to rest, i feel better about myself lol, like im not being lazy/cheating out on my goals.

AFFIRMATIONS ;

another thing i do when i’m feeling overwhelmed is affirm myself. like actually talk to myself like i would to my best friend. sometimes out loud, sometimes in my journal. mostly in my journal and in my head. you won't believe how helpful talking to yourself actually is until you try it and i cannot recommend it enough.

OTHER WAYS TO RELIEVE STRESS ;

❤︎ taking long showers is always helpful for me when im overwhelmed or stress. just the ritual of it all, dry brushing, doing a mask, moisturizing... its super ritualistic and relieves stress really well.

❤︎ journaling about what it is thats stressing me out and getting it out of my head and onto paper also is super helpful.

❤︎ listening to something encouraging like an audio book, uplifting youtuber that you love, or even music that inspires you.

❤︎ organizing something like ur vanity or your closet/cleaning. a clean space = a clean mind.

so with that being said i have a LOT to go back to and reflect on so that i can see what i accomplished this year and what i can do better in the next year. this reflection system that i have is so helpful so i'll set one up for 2025 so that i can also have that at my disposal.

BREAKING UP THE NEXT YEAR ;

i break up my year into 4 quarters (each lasting 3 months) that way i can see my year broken up and i have a clear plan and i can be organized. quarter one (january - march) quarter two (april - june) so on and so forth. and after every quarter i do a little analysis.

something else that i wanna try for next year is giving myself quarterly themes. like for each quarter of the year i'll focus on a different aspect of myself, i think that could be fun…💬🎀

PREPARATIONS ;

im wrapping up some things like my projects, assignments and things of that nature so that i can go into the next year on a clean slate. furthermore im making plans for new years eve, and january and making sure that i've already set some things in motion.
