#I loved him already at this point of course#but the moment he gently warned her in advance that his hand might touch here is what sealed the deal#he wasn’t even trying to touch her! his sole intention was to put the coat around her!#but he knew how sensitive she was about the scars#and knew she was allowing herself to be extremely vulnerable#so he warned her about the possibility of the touch even though it was unlikely to happen#because it’s so important to him that she feels safe with him#and that he never does anything that will harm or upset or even just startle her#I’m just. eternally insane about them.#the way they each are exactly what the other needs#the way they can comfortably show each other their violent sides and jagged edges#with zero fear that they’ll judge them or be frightened#they will never shy away from hurting close who deserve it but they are unfailingly gentle with each other#the glory
