so the thing is, I wrote that bc I had planned to write a fic about it, but after I gotten around writing it it turned out pretty awful so I don't wanna publish it... and I kinda wanna retcon that hc now, lol.

Anyway the whole abo au was supposed to be under schaharazade ficlet thingy I wrote. So Dyanna was born after ashford (Baelor lived yay!) and Valarr didn't know about the whole thing because Daeron didnt know that he's pregnant either and he already went back to Summerhall. And when they meet again Dyanna is already a toddler (hence the name, idt Valarr or Baelor or Maekar would let Daeron named her Dyanna if he told them about the pregnancy) and Maekar was not kind to Daeron about it at all trying to pass her as his kid as his and Baelor's instead and that blew up KL for a good week Baelor was like, that's not my kid but I'd still marry you.

Imagine how angry Valarr was when he finally put two and two together. Your daughter getting pass off as your half sister.

Dyanna is just a little kid who's only been socialized with her mother, and she was kept away with Daeron until she was two, she might not remember it well but after Daeron and Valarr got together Daeron still have some reservations for Valarr and she picks up on it hence why she's a bit distant towards her father.

I think as she grew older and Daeron gets back to his benders she eventually starts distancing herself from him. In turn Valarr would brought her up to be a respectable princess who someday he hoped might be the queen. He absolutely cannot say no to Dyanna bc she's the spitting image of Daeron, whilst the grandparents are endeared by her bc Dyanna looks like a pup Baekar would've have if they got together.

THIS IS A BLURB for the one-shot I posted last month, I'm still in the process of editing it lol

It's barely academic as I was intended it to...instead I'm trying to explore more on their family dynamics. Since it's going to be from Valarr's perspective I'm struggling to fully flesh out Daeron's and his siblings interaction LOL and he's turning out to be an asshole in this one.

Also writing Daerons addictions are too painful especially writing how he's grieving by turning to substance abuse, he thinks fondly of his siblings but not so much on how his parents were to him. He didn't realize that his siblings (besides Aerion) also mourn him in some ways, a version of him that had been there for them, the brother that held their hands when Maekar is too busy mourning his wife.

Valarr's obliviousness to this made it worse because while Egg and Daella subtly tries to preoccupy and help their older brother through his self sabotaging phase gets blocked by Valarr's needs to feel alive or something drags Daeron more into his old ways.

When they started crossing the lines and starts having sex Daeron is not half of the person he used to be anymore and he started lying to his family again, he started using and get caught in bad situations. While Valarr thinks that it's not fun anymore he's into it too deep and he'd rather shove all of it under a rug than admit he's in love with his cousin and he doesn't want to admit that he is affected by his own family's emotional distance and he's mistaking his obsession for affection to fill the void inside of him.

Visenya is an Alpha but she have some complex about it since she's not as big as Maegor or Baelon, she just doesn't like the other alpha siblings in general plus Aerion sees her as an extension of himself in a way because of how she looks, and pity her sometimes because she’s a female presenting alpha. So every time Dyanna came to visit she's always ended up tailing her instead and spending time with her so she could feel like a normal girl.

She always had a little crush on Dyanna and she could only talk about it to Dunk, because as soon as Aerion knows about this he would do anything in his power to abuse it and make her the next queen to the throne by marrying them together. Visenya didn't want that at all because anything against the throne is everything against Dyanna. She knows her uncle (Valarr) doesn't have the best relationship with her mother and she doesn't want to add to that.

She's a romantic at heart and she loves courting Dyanna like Dunk taught her to, probably something they could bond over since Visenya still thinks that Dunk is too simple at times and he's not raised a nobleman so what does he knows about chivalry? but soon she learns why her parents are together in the first place and it's not because Aerion was kind.

When they're little Visenya would bring Dyanna trinkets she stole from Aerion (lol) until one time she got into big fight and Maekar has to told them off both (the dunkaerionlings lives in summerhall) Maekar has a hard time saying no to her because she's a mini Aerion. So she just lied until she can't anymore instead of admitting that she's using his jewelry to impress Dyanna. Maegor made fun of her for that sometimes joking about it to piss her off when she's being too mean to him.

On her 17th name day Dyanna gave her a lilac diamond necklace and for her a ruby one, to remind her of each other. Visenya thought that Dyanna is finally reciprocating her courtship, so she's planning on asking the older girl properly after the party. The celebration was held over the course of few days, and since she's of age many omegas have started to be introduce to her, but she's just indifferent towards them. No one is better to preserve the Targaryen family line than her sweet cousin Dyanna. But little did she know that before they got to summerhall Dyanna is planned to be wed to another, and she didn't have the heart to tell Visenya so she could only give the Alpha a token of promise that some parts of her still belongs to Visenya.

Daeron knows how Visenya looks at Dyanna and reminded his daughter to be kind to her, she confessed she might be in love with her cousin too, but if her father would want her to marry someone else he deemed better it's the least she could do, she doesn't want to be a burden. Daeron just looked at her with a sad smile, he and Valarr fought about it, calling the future king selfish for deciding everything on his own. He thought Maegor was on to Dyanna not Visenya, so when he heard about it he was dumbfounded he's been hating on the poor boy for nothing.

Baelon knows, he doesnt hate the thought of it, but not thrilled about it either but he's got better things to worry about, like being the next heir or something or defeating Maegor in a tourney.

Maegor thinks they should stop this incest madness, but Dyanna is sooo kind and he was sure that whatever they have was just puppy love, but he was wrong. He blamed it on his mom.
