Snapchat Chat

After typing a message, what would you press to send it?

The yellow button, right?

Likely because that’s the default placement of the Send button in every other messaging app, including Apple’s Messages.

Unfortunately, Snapchat decided that the yellow button would instead place your text over an image to be sent as a normal Snapchat.

You have to press the blue Send button on the keyboard to actually send a message in the messaging window.

It took me a while to figure this out, and I still find myself pressing the yellow button to send. I also can’t count how many times I’ve gotten Snapchats from friends in response, when it’s clear they were just trying to send me a message back.

A suggested fix:

Put the Send button back where users are accustomed to it being, and move the yellow Snapchat button (that sends an image) to where users expect a “send image” button to be.
