I was walking on a tour one day with my good friend Alex, when we came across a most peculiar looking cave. The tour guide explained to us that it was not to be explored because it had a very dark history of murders, suicides, and abductions. Naturally, my friend and I got curious about this forbidden cave. We asked the tour guide what was so bad about going in it now. She explained that people had been recently complaining about a noise they heard coming from the cave. She continued, they reported hearing a particular constant voice of a little girl, asking for someone to come and play with her, for she was lonely. Recently, one boy, about seven years old, heard her voice and went off to play with her without his mother noticing. About five minutes later she realized her son was missing and quickly sent out a patrol of park rangers to look for her son. As they searched they came across the cave, and a trail of blood that lead out of it and into the nearby river. They found the boy's clothing soaked in blood laying on riverbank. He was reported dead, and still nobody knows what happened to him. My friend and I knew this was just a fairy tale, but we always loved a good thrill. So when the tour moved on, we stayed behind and looked into the gated-off hole. I got out my video camera from my backpack and we headed inside the cave. I was eager to go further, and record whatever "Monster" was in there. Alex on the other hand was very reluctant to do this. We both walked in when nobody was looking. We couldn't see a thing. I dropped my camera because it was pitch black, immediately we started to panic. Even though we couldn't see the light of day, we had our phones. As we walked further into the cave we started to hear voices, the voice of a little girl. She was asking us if we wanted to play but we both knew what was happening. But then I realized something much, much more horrifying. That thing, the one from the internet, it was some sort of black and white picture of a tall man with no face. It uses children to lure you, then to find you. I started to tear as we walked slowly, the voices getting louder and louder. There was no turning back. The tension broke when my phone started ringing, I realized I had no reception. But I picked up hoping there would be a voice on the other end. It was static. I stood still for a few seconds paralyzed in fear, then the static broke. There was a voice. No one I had ever heard before. It was silent, almost a whisper. The voice had explained to us it would consume us, and that we should say our goodbyes. More static. I had noticed I had reception and the battery power for on more call. I called my mom and told her I loved her, my phone died along with Alex's. We were stuck in the dark with the thought we would die soon. We sat down and waited, the voices got louder. I turned around and saw that thing, it was standing behind Alex. There was nothing we could do. Both the man and Alex disappeared leaving me in darkness. I notice there was daylight. I walked out alive. I would never forget what happened to me that day. Alex was gone. I then realized I wasn't anywhere familiar. It turned night quickly. I approached a tree, an unusually large tree. I picked up a page note and a flashlight.    By Daren SmithÂ
